SpruceClan and The Serpentine {Sign-Ups}

SpruceClan once held two rivals, StreamClan and StoneClan, with each of the three laying claim to an area surrounding a large pond. After a series of drought, famine, disease and war broke out amongst WillowClan and StoneClan, they crumbled while SpruceClan kept to themselves, reinforcing their borders and watching over their prey carefully.
Nearly 17 season cycles and one leader later, SpruceClan remains the last living remnant of the three Clans and the former territories of StreamClan and StoneClan growing home to the rogue group The Serpentine, a fierce group that borders SpruceClan on both sides of the pond.


SpruceClan and the Serpentine both claim home around a pond lying within a temperate forest. Each group’s territory sits nicely into the forest, with a few creeks, streams and brooks interseeding the tree covered landscape.
SpruceClan holds less territory than the Serpentine, given that the Serpentine lays hold over two Clans territories. SpruceClan on the other hand, has access to more trees and holds more shelter from the weather.
SpruceClan’s camp in located at the heart of their territory, within a circle of trees, with a wall woven from branches and leaves. Each den is made in the roots from trees, and added on with woven walls, save for the leader’s den, which is formed from a hollowed out tree stump. With a woven roof.
The Serpentine’s camp is located on what was once the StreamClan and StoneClan border, inside of an old and crumbling bear cave, with enough open sleeping spaces to house upwards of sixty cats. The rogues sleep in large piles, except for the Leaders, who choose to sleep in a separate cave located just off from the main entrance.
The groups hunt small birds, squirrels, mice, frogs and lizards as their prey. They have a much larger view of enemies, mainly bears, mountain lions, opossums, badgers and foxes, with others lurking around.


- No mary sue’s, god modding or powerplaying
- No Clan cats can have the names Sun, Moon, Stone, Stream, Spruce, Lion, Tiger, Leopard or Star in their name, save for Clan Leaders
- Keep pelt colors and eye colors restricted to those commonly seen on actual cats, an exception for eye color is made on Prophecy Cats.
- No double naming Clan cats or rogue cats(There can be a rogue named Blaze and a Clan cat named Blazeheart, but not two rogues named Blaze or two Clan cats named Blazeheart and Blazefur)
- The only exception to the above rule is if the cat that shares a prefix(Clan) or name(rogue) is established as dead. Either in the RP or dead before the RP starts.
- Max of three HP per person
- You cannot be leader and deputy, not can you be medicine cat and medicine cat apprentice. The same rule is for the Serpentine, where you cannot be two leaders, or leader and step-up
- Your cats can die, they can get in fights but you cannot directly kill another cat without their consent. The cat can end up dying as a result afterwards without permission needed as the owner makes the choice to kill them.
- Make at least two cats, to keep numbers up
- If you understand all of the rules put your cat’s parents in the other section
- No unnecessary drama or yelling/excessive and unnecessary use of caps and punctuation.
- No unapproved major plots or storylines without confirming it with me prior to starting it
- A single cat has trouble fighting off a fox alone, and stands no chance against the higher tier creatures alone. Don't have your characters doing something unreasonable like fighting a fox alone and leaving without a scratch or killing a bear on their own. Cannot happen. Your cat would most likely be that bears dinner.
- Break any of these rules more than three times and you're gone. You will receive three strikes/warnings before you're done.
- Be literate and try to post 3+ sentences each post.
- Don’t get too far without involving another person
- Past and personality must be at least two sentences. Please give me details on them. The only exception to the past requirement is if the character is a newborn kit or a kit that is under five moons.

Past: Flarestar was born to SpruceClan, a son of a former deputy he strove to live up to his mother’s beliefs in her only son. When he was fifteen moons, he watched as a raid from the Serpentine killed his family, leaving him broken and alone for a while, during this time he began to plot on the ways he could take power back to the Clans from the Serpentine, knowing that only a leader could hold enough power to wage a proper war. At twenty moons he finally grew close to his longtime friend Mapleheart, and took her as a mate, bearing two kits before Mapleheart died while on patrol just after their kits were apprenticed. Through this time, he turned on his mate’s brother and current deputy, Swiftfeather, framing the cat for the murder of a friendly loner. With Swiftfeather chased off of Clan territory after being severely injured, Flarestar was named deputy by Graystar. Through his short deputyship, Flarestar noticed how many cats were quick to catch on to his motives, and he quickly would get rid of them, bribing rogues to assault them when on patrols, or simply taking them out himself.
After a freak accident involving a rogue bribed to simply attack a patrol ended with a Clan cat dead, Flarestar was quick to turn the Clan against Viperpad, the survivor of this solo patrol, and he watched as she fled the Clan. A moon later he became leader after Graystar retired with his last life.
Personality: Flarestar is greedy, manipulative and cunning. He does what he wants, to get what he wants, and doesn’t necessarily worry about who’s lives he messes up in the process. He is a brutal strategist, but he is also merciless in fighting, often not stopping until the enemy has either fled or been taken down.

Past: Ravenpaw was born into the Clan shortly after her father had been named a warrior. Her mother had taken ill while pregnant, and as a result Ravenpaw lost nearly every single one of her four siblings, with Smokepaw as the only other survivor. At the same time her mother fell ill.
Ravenpaw was never one for fighting, and she often found her dreams filled with visions and of things to happen, and so she turned her pawsteps to those of a medicine cat. Eagerly meeting her new position with joy. She took hardest to Scarleap’s death, not willing to believe that Viperpad could have killed her uncle after the tom worked his best to help Viperpad rebound from her own brother’s death.
Personality: Ravenpaw is rather quiet and soft spoken, taking more after her father in this aspect than her mother. She's very caring and compassionate, often listening to others to clear their minds, even if the other isn't ill.

The rest of my cats will come along in later posts. And just because I get the feeling that once the plot is rolling it will be asked, yes you can create StarClan and Dark Forest cats. But they can only be used when a cat is dreaming and they visit them. The dead cats cannot manifest on the physical plane.

She then became a warrior and fought for moons for the clan. She eventually got picked as deputy.
Personality: Stormclaw is independant, feisty and loyal. She is kind to everyone in the clan but only gets angry when cats betray the clan.

Past: Cobra was born into the Serpentine, the son of one of their leaders. His mother raised him nearly alone as a result of his father's status. He was always a bit harsh in his methods, and after a training session in which he got particularly angry his mother ended up dead.
Cobra returned to joy from the leaders of the Serpentine, and once his training had finished up they took him under their wing and made him step-up after the former one ascended to a leadership role. Once his father passed in a raid Cobra was able to take his father's spot as a leader.
Personality: Cobra is cold and aloof. He tries his best to find out what is best for the Serpentine although being so detached from the followers does tend to make his job difficult.

Past: Silentfall was born into the Clan without knowing exactly who his father was. He was raised with four of the queens caring for him. He became quick friends with the other queens’ kits, often playing with them even after he grew too old to play kit games.
When he and his sister became apprentices Silentfall was eager to prove himself and soon it was not just a question of proving himself, it was one of whether or not he could impress Pondflower when the two of them were apprentices together.
Shortly after they became warriors Silentfall and Pondflower declared they were mates. After falling ill while pregnant Pondflower passed alongside three of her five kits shortly after they were born. His mother, Goldenclaw was not too far off from his mates death and she passed a moon or two afterwards from greencough.
Personality: Silentfall is a very quiet cat, both in how cautiously he walks and in how soft spoken he is. Silentfall is very friendly, although he won't be one to strike up conversation unless he is close to the cats he is around.

Past: Wolfwind was born to the Clan never knowing who her father was. She was raised not only by her mother, but also by three other queens at the time. She had no absence of kits to play with and rarely ever got bored growing up.
She was beside herself with joy when becoming an apprentice, and oftentimes would stay up late at night to perfect her battle and hunting moves she was taught until they were perfected. After becoming a warrior she watched as numerous cats were killed by rogue raids on patrols.
She was the first to disapprove of Silentfall's rash decision to take a mate so soon after they became warriors, but she knew she couldn't stay mad at her brother for much longer than a quarter moon and after Pondflower died she was quick to reassure him and support him.

Past: Deathlight, originally called Cavepaw, was born to two rogues outside of the Clan. She was brought here by her parents after they escaped from the harsh treatment the Serpentine gave them after her parents were caught hunting on their land. She was introduced to her uncle alongside her two siblings, and shortly after she and Twinriver were sent into the Clan. Her brother left his uncle in favor of staying in the Serpentine.
Deathlight was a reckless apprentice, she'd often get into trouble, only making it out because of the help of others and by sheer luck and possible blessings from StarClan. Her constant state of near death experiences caused Graystar to name her Deathlight as a tribute to her behavior.
Personality: Deathlight is adventurous and very sharp tongued. She often will clash with her superiors on topics of whether the nearby loners were causing trouble or not. Despite this, Deathlight is willing to help others work through their problems if needed.

Past: Twinriver was born to two rogues who sought refuge after escaping from the Serpentine. Her parents delivered her and her siblings to their uncle before leaving to ensure the Serpentine didn't find them. She was then sent to live with the Clan nearby alongside her sister. Their brother Hazel, having heard of the Serpentine, went off in search of them to join.
Twinriver was always the one to stay back in camp until night arrived, ad the sunlight would hurt her eyes. She became one of the few night warriors of the Clan, often hunting alone in the dark where her eye wouldn't be damaged.
She had originally been met with ridicule and hostilities by the Clan for her strange fur, but after the Clan acknowledged her to be a well bred cat she was soon welcomed fully.
Personality: Twinriver is serene and peaceful, she is hard to get a rise out of and often will simply shrug off any hostilities. She is very understanding of others, even if she can't help them out with their problems directly.

Past: Was born to a kittypet named Grace with his sister Red and Moth, and his brother Fox. Their father was a violent rouge named Bear whom killed their mother and took the kits to his rouge camp. Wasp trained with a rebel and was able to escape with his sisters, but his brother Fox stayed behind. The rebel had told Wasp about the clan and how to find them, but on the way, Moth got sick and Wasp could not save her. Wasp and his sister Red reached the clan and were fostered by Mossmoth. Wasppaw became known as rather exceptional and suprisingly loyal for a rouge, although some cats did not trust him and his sister because they were always very vague about their past, not wanting to get into it. While being an apprentice and young warrior, Waspclaw grew a deep fondness for the she-cat Viperfang. When he was 16 moons old, Fox visited Redleaf and Waspclaw and told them that he had finished off Moth, not the sickness, because he was trying to help them move faster. Waspclaw nearly kills Fox but lets him go. For Redleaf its to much to handle as she falls into depression and on purpose fights a badger alone so it kills her. Not long after, Waspclaw lost his foster mother Mossmoth due to old age. All Waspclaw had left was his loyality to the clan and Viperfang,. But then, when Viperfang was cast out, it crushed him inside, and now he is rather rough and blunt, having no close connections to any cat anymore.
Personality: Has a softer side, but is rather blunt and rough and can seem rather aggressive and implusive at times. (Waspclaw is basically an angry emo teen)

He wishes to lead the group one day, and he does not care how blood soaked his paws have to be to get what he wants.

Soon, she became a warrior. After growing close to Adderheart while they grew up, they announced that they were mates. She soon bore four kits, and that was when her life went downhill. Her mother and Adderheart was killed by a fox. So she left the clan, believing that she would have a better life being a loner. As a loner, she found out who was her father. Later, she found a life in the Serpentine. Soon, she made her way up till she became a leader.
Personality: Loyal, kind, friendliness, being stern yet understanding, and has natural leadership skills helped her to become a leader. Wise, smart yet sly and sharp-tounged, she learned to get rid of her enemies easily. She is also brave, but also a bit being reckless and rash. She is quick to hide her emotions, making her rather cold and mean. Soul can also be rather negative, but that was because of the death of her mom.

@panda9983 There already is a step-up for The Serpentine, I have just been unable to edit the main post up until now. There is a leader position if you would rather that. And you need to re-read the rules and edit your forms accordingly. There was an OC of mine pre-established as Swiftfeather, who was chased out of the Clan, and so Viper's father can't have the same name as they would have been in the Clan at the same time. Also there was already a Clan cat named Viper- at the same time your cat was named Viper- and there is a loner with a similar name already existing, and as per RP Rules, that can't happen can you please fix her name?

Past: Burntpelt, originally named Blazepaw, was born to the Clan as the son of the deputy. He was raised practically alone in the nursery and he was often a very rambunctious cat. He would often times get into trouble.
As an apprentice he tagged along to a patrol sent to scout nearby for any signs of danger after the medicine cat had a terrible dream of flames. On this patrol he ended up being badly burnt by fire caused by a thunderstorm. Upon his return he requested to be renamed after his scorched pelt.
Burntpelt shortly after became a warrior, and he watched as his father was chased out of camp. Burntpelt tagged along with the group, hanging back after his father was driven from the territory to say hai final goodbyes. At the request of Swiftfeather, Burntpelt killed his father to prevent a slow and painful death.
Two moons after his warriors ceremony his mother returned to the nursery with another litter of kits. One that he knew didn't share his father. Burntpelt watched carefully as his half sister killed her brother in a training accident. And he watched as she retreated into herself, scarcely being able to interact with others outside of those she grew up with.
When she was exiled from the Clan after allegedly killing her friend, Burntpelt couldn't help but be relieved for her knowing that she was a danger to not only herself but the entire Clan in her current state.
Personality: Burntpelt is adventurous and excitable. He is very insightful and watchful, often choosing the right times to do specific things or to make decisions.

Past: Quicksilver was born a kittypet, adopted out of her family and shortly after abandoned by those she was adopted by. Quicksilver opted to keep her name, knowing that she would never fully be accepted because of it.
A few moons after she joined Quicksilver grew close to the deputy at the time and shortly afterwards bore a kit with him. Once that kit became an apprentice though, Quicksilver and Swiftfeather started fighting, Quicksilver often ventured out of the camp and Swiftfeather feared she would leave. The two stopped being mates midway through Burntpelt’s apprenticeship.
After the split Quicksilver began to speak to a friendly loner while she was out on patrol alone. Two moons after Burntpelt became a warrior Quicksilver returned to the nursery bearing two kits from the loner. She watched with pride as the two started shaping up to become fine warriors, but took the death of her son Canarypaw exceptionally harsh, after his death Quicksilver retired to the nursery to help the other nursing queens.
Personality: Quicksilver is prideful and arrogant. She believes that she has one of the most important jobs in the Clan, even when no nursing queens are in the nursery. Often times she even mocks warriors who opt out of having kits, claiming they don't want to further strengthen the Clan.

Past: Graypelt was born into the Clan back when there were still three Clans. He watched as the leader at the time turned away from helping the other two Clans as they waged war against one another. Graypelt often regretted his inaction in that time, believing that if he had gone against his leader he could have saved the other two Clans. Graypelt took on a mate shortly after StoneCkan and StreamClan wiped each other out. Trying to move away from the negativity. A few moons after his kits became apprentices, Graypelt was named leader after a plague assaulted his Clan leaving Graypelt as the fittest warrior to lead at the time.
Graypelt accepted his leadership role reluctantly, knowing that he could never fully erase the wrongs done by his precursor.
He watched as the Clan rebuilt itself and he watched as corruption poisoned once good cats. But Graypelt stood strong, careful planning keeping his Clan safe until he grew too old to lead properly. At this time he allowed his deputy to shoulder some of his leadership roles. Which resulted in a formerly exceptional warrior being driven out for murder. Graypelt retired almost immediately afterwards.
Personality: Graypelt is talkative, often sharing stories whenever he can and doing his best to keep morals up. He is eternally loyal to his Clan, and he scarcely will allow for his kin to give up without a fight.

Past: Viperpad was born to a loner father and former kittypet mother. She was raised within the Clan with the care of three other queens. She often kept to herself, finding large groups to be intimidating, and she would often go into a panic response when met with a very stressful situation. During this time her friend Scarleap would help her calm down. When Viperpad was an apprentice, a sparring session with her brother Canarypaw took a sharp turn when her weaker brother died as a result of their fight. Viperpad blamed herself, despite Canarypaw already having been dying beforehand of a savage illness.
She withdrew into herself, finding most situations harsh enough to send her into a fit if lashing out at most of anything that got near her. Only her close friends could bring her back down to focus properly.
On a patrol with Scarleap, Viperpad was attacked by a black furred rogue, who killed Scarleap before running off. Viperpad was unable to defend herself and was set to punishment by the Clan. Over the night she managed to flee away from the Clan, where she was safe. She took refuge with her father before he passed.
Personality: Viperpad is withdrawn and cautious. She despises large crowds, and often regresses into a fit of anxiety when overwhelmed. She is often times very rude and sharp tongued towards everyone when she isn't being overtaken by her anxious habits, and tends to soften around her friends. Even if it isn't that much of a softening.

Soon after, he had a mentor and a father(foster) to learn from. But once he was 12 moons, Oak had died, leaving him alone again. After that he found 3 young kits that were abandoned by their mother. So he decided to take care of them.
Personality: He is smart and a quick learner. He learned how to take advantage of others, deceive and manipulate them.

Past: After he was born, he was abandoned. After staying with Night until he was 6 moons old, he left him and his brothers. Now he live alone.
Personality: He rather moody, and grumpy all the time. Storm doesn't listen well, but he can give you quite a battle even if he's still young. His is also raw and inexpirenced, believing that pure power can lead you to win a battle.

@panda9983 Silver is not an eye color that shows up in cats at all. Please change that, you need to give the past for your cats even if two share the same past. Also can you elaborate more on Tunder's personality? As it stands it is very confusing.

@panda9983 there is already a cat names Cloudspots in the Clan so Dawnhearts mother couldn't have been named Cloudspot. Again cats can't have silver eyes fix Thunder's form. And Dawnheart and Dusksky are siblings? Who had kits? The entirety of Dawnhearts past is very confusing can you please fix it.
