newlife • 21 June 2017 at 2:38 AM
@jardoz Noted Blu says EC, might need to fix that.I took a look at these values and wow, everything has gotten so high since I've last traded? And having no price on the Seiren worries me of what one might cost if it ever is available for trade. But thank you for posting it, and a shout out to Raven as well, she's amazing with values, and I'm glad she's posted her cute little book of values for everyone.
quetzalcoatl • 21 June 2017 at 12:26 PM
@newlifeWe have yet to finish thats why some are blank right now. Seiren is not as much as Oscoa but colse in value. Also, thanks for pointing that out about Blu!!! I'll let @jardoz know @spiritkeeper5The TS creatures are all on there. In alphabetical order. TS creatures are beyond inflated and should not cost more than 2.5k cc and be the equivalent to say an older rare CSP creature. They are not retired and are available and its silly for anyone to ask more than that.
ethereality • 21 June 2017 at 4:53 PM
A value guide would be very helpful to all users of Eggcave, especially newbies! I can't find the list in the post though.
chiroptera • 21 June 2017 at 6:05 PM
@daisy1664 Is the Ecorth value in thousands? I'd have at least 10 by now it it only costed 6.5 - 7.5 CCAlso, it feel that a lot of these prices are REALLY high. Are retired 200CC creatures seriously worth 1.5k now?And are Buzzles actually 900? I've been trying to sell my dead one for forever.Anyways, this really helps. I now know that I got terrible trades for my Rousel and Flover βΉοΈ, so I won't make the same mistakes again π
quetzalcoatl • 21 June 2017 at 6:17 PM
@srx2002https://eggcave.com/archives/ecorth/show - THIS ONE? Yes there are old and high on the rarity index CSP . Not many around and have seen them go for that cost at 6.5-7.5K CC If there isn't a K there there needs to beYes some are worth that much depending on age and rarity and popularity. Things expensive now. But some of these prices are the reasonable ones. I saw a Biwo go for 14.5k cc , Corphex for 18.5k cc and an abrillion for 18.5k cc LITERALLY Which was wrong and only happened due to the creature owners either being a bit greedy / hosted bidding wars. I have seen thief shop creatures sell for literally 4k+ CC NOT COOL. I'm hoping this guide really helps the EC community and puts a stop to radical/ unfair inflation!Yep I bought my buzzle 5months ago at actually 1.5k c but was overcharged
chiroptera • 21 June 2017 at 6:27 PM
@daisy1664 Yeah, I really dislike how the more experienced traders shark new players (or older players like me that should know prices but still don't) out of thousands of CC, especially when the victim is free to play. I think I got about 500 CC for my Flover and like 250CC for my Rousel xDI play another game where they use sales to determine the prices of items. For example, if this (rare) item sells 5 times in the last month at $10, $23, $25, $26, and $70, you can take out the outliers and assume the price of ~$24-25. However, that game has a more advanced inventory and trading system and it would be very difficult (if not impossible) to implement in eggcave because you can't track down other people's trades.Anyway, thanks for this, it will definitely help me not get scammed again.
skyfall4 • 21 June 2017 at 7:33 PM
@daisy1664 @jardoz I think the Prath is worth around 2-3 million EC. Perhaps 4 million. That's what Ive been seeing them at.
chiroptera • 21 June 2017 at 8:32 PM
@daisy1664 Don't know if this is intentional, but some of the asteroid critters are also marked as thief shop.
quetzalcoatl • 21 June 2017 at 8:52 PM
@skyfall4 that one i figured to be either 200-300 or 300-400. was a little uncertain. So thanks for the info!! Please provide other trade data if you have any β€οΈ I'm excellent with CSP and retired popular/old creatures but there are still a few of the retired cave/ LE creatures that I'm not 100% on. So thank you. @srx2002 Yes, there is a color code 1 color for cave creatures other color for TS, Oasis, Astroid. - Which all have a tendency to be inflated at times. That was a stock color system we used to group those creatures but plan to do separate colors for those 3 categories. π250 for Rousel oh no I am so sorry βΉοΈ Hopefully this helps you though for now on!
chiroptera • 21 June 2017 at 9:01 PM
@daisy1664 Ok, good to know that π I think the Tenalp is color coded incorrectly, though. To be fair, I sold the rousel right after the Easter event because I wanted to go on a haitus, so it wasn't too big of a shark at the time. Also, are the endangered critters and Lyf inflated as well? (I want to see how much my dead list is worth)
brad • 21 June 2017 at 9:31 PM
@daisy1664 @jardoz Mimic at 400-500? Possible typo? o.O
quetzalcoatl • 21 June 2017 at 9:36 PM
@o_o nope! those are getting popular. people are paying that . i paid 600 for mine@srx2002endangered critters AKA Oasis are yes. To a slight degree.... some more than others. Aerlo and Bunthoff are a bit high . Aerlo most 1.5k and bunthoff most 1.8 but really most should be 1.2 and same goes for aerlo . Tenlap is Asteroid critter
brad • 21 June 2017 at 9:38 PM
@daisy1664 For a Mimic? The CSPs that were 500cc originally in 2014? π
quetzalcoatl • 21 June 2017 at 10:26 PM
@o_o i always get mimic and mystic confused I swear this has literally happened 4 times now and I think its a curse haha MYSTIC is 500-600 cc and MIMIC is 1.2-1.7k CC
ufo • 21 June 2017 at 10:28 PM
Fixed!! Thanks guys for the catch! π Let us know if you see anything else, we want this to be a trusty guide without typos, but it's a huge list so we kinda need help looking for errors and we appreciate the feedback!
chiroptera • 21 June 2017 at 10:59 PM
@daisy1664 But the tenalp is colored the same as the cave commons.Edit: and same for the storticai and ophiledia
veritaspunk • 22 June 2017 at 4:15 AM
@daisy1664 & @jardozVattone & Vecker generally go for the same price ? π± That one stood out just skimming through. @srx2002 That trading system seems very interesting.. like an automatic adjusting stock market system almost.
chiroptera • 22 June 2017 at 4:22 AM
@veritaspunk It's not automatic. It's a community that finds the sales for a given item and reports them in the form of a "suggestion" (I contributed a few hundred suggestions myself π), and then trusted mods confirm the validity of the sales and accept the suggestion if it is valid.
veritaspunk • 22 June 2017 at 4:34 AM
@srx2002 ah, the thing is there is always variables such as people willing to sell lower or buy higher. Both have applied to me ... you pay a premium for wont and expediency/impatience/time. ... like appraisers that give you different price ranges ... It all depends on that cohesive trust but again instances happen where values will go outside any range higher or lower ... I certainly wouldn't want a panel or group telling me the transaction couldn't happen because it wasn't in valid range of the community standard etc. Guidelines aren't mandates via a gatekeeper π
chiroptera • 22 June 2017 at 4:49 AM
@veritaspunk The thing is, with that economy, people have set up bots to earn profit for them. Let's say there's an item worth 10 cents. The bot will set up a listing (sort of like ebay listings) to buy the item for 9 cents and set up a sell listing for 11 cents. However, if demand drops, the bots will have trouble selling for 11 cents and drop to 10 cents. In a way, these bots automatically regulate the market. The suggestors just change the values in the database based on the market for convenience. However, for really expensive items, people rarely follow the database. One reason is because the people who buy those items are rich and don't care about the money they spend, and another reason is because there are no bots for these rare items because it would be difficult to manage. So then you have people paying thousands of dollars over the price in the database, similar to the situation in eggcave, where people can pay a lot more than usual for a rare, "wishlist" critter. So I actually don't believe this guide will be particularly useful for the more expensive critters because there will be big alterations in sales, but it will most definitely help out new inexperienced players who need help determining the prices of limited edition, asteroid, thief shop, etc critters. It also serves as a guide to relative prices. I had no clue nyms were that much more expensive than biwos before I saw the list.
veritaspunk • 22 June 2017 at 5:04 AM
@srx2002 ...and the lower value creatures may gain value as months go by .. it's too variable to really affix a pricing list especially because even the 500cc = 5m "rule" has plenty of exceptions. ... you never know when that Diablo you found might just be worth 2m to someone who came across the auction or trade ... or it may only drive a little over 50k. It makes things interesting on a daily basis even with the monthlies sometimes they go for less than 1k at times late in the month, other times It's in the 10's of thousands or even a 100k or more. It's about individual demand as well as listing it at the "right time" Egg Cave is indeed like the stock market π .. but with eggs hehe
chiroptera • 22 June 2017 at 5:14 AM
@veritaspunk Yes, a lot of it is kinda unpredictable, but I don't think it should be. Only the expensive critters should have large fluctuations in price. That's why I'm a fan of this list; it might keep the prices of the monthlies and stuff stable.
veritaspunk • 22 June 2017 at 5:28 AM
@srx2002 Fluctuations is what keeps it fun though π. It's the whole premise with auctioning and negotiating in trades ... like in real life they can get a bit subjectively wonky and nonsensical. I think a pricing list might help those new rather than them just accepting the first offer etc, but I don't use the word "stable" to describe much as humans are fickle creatures of habit susceptible to outliers π ...and from what I've seen cave monthlies have hit rock bottom especially post 2013, but I am only one perspective of countless many but I like the free market here, I hope lists like this don't make things untenable and confined ... suggestive without becoming dogmatic.
chiroptera • 22 June 2017 at 6:06 AM
@veritaspunk I'm probably biased because I'm terrible with eggcave economics and I tend to make many bad deals. I can never quite figure out what stuff will become valuable and I sell them off immediately (like my rousel for ~200cc xp). However, yes, without fluctuations it does get bland real fast, so I do agree that the list shouldn't seem like a strict basis that everyone should follow, with barely any room to make profit.
ufo • 22 June 2017 at 8:58 AM
Donβt like it, donβt use it.
bloom • 22 June 2017 at 9:28 AM
@daisy1664 @jardoz Oh it is! Thank you so much! β‘β‘β‘β‘β‘β‘β‘β‘β‘β‘β‘β‘β‘β‘β‘β‘β‘
veritaspunk • 22 June 2017 at 5:34 PM
@daisy1664 & @jardoz-Vattone & Vecker generally go for the same price ? That one stood out just skimming through. Would you mind explaining why those are the same value even though are a year apart and one is higher in rarity index ?
ufo • 22 June 2017 at 5:40 PM
@veritaspunk why are you on our board all day being so negative? We created this guide after a lot of hard work and you've done nothing but bash it and now demanding answers in bold?If you don't agree with a value we've made it more than clear we're open to feedback so instead of being this way you could suggest a value you think is fair, but I'm certainly not going to go back and forth with someone who is so against the guide in the first place. You don't want to use it and you are against its very existence so stop worrying about it and continue on with your life.
