@jardoz lol, alright I have clearly not been on the board or "your board" all day ... I asked a question to try and get understanding of your thought process and then proceeded to discuss the magnitude of such a list with another member ... that given the open market of Egg Cave would and should be taken seriously ... but first it started with a question which you seem to deflect to engage in ad hominem instead... This is advertised as legitimate ? Yet when logic is defied or questioned the questioner is accused of hostility or "bashing" ... perhaps a FAQ in the future outlining your structure for values would avoid this discrepancy going further All the best π
juniperrains • 22 June 2017 at 6:22 PM
@jardoz I'm curious to see what the ball park prices for asteroid creatures will be. I've posted about it before, but no one seemed to know
ufo • 22 June 2017 at 6:27 PM
@juniperrains we are still filling out the guide, and haven't gotten to those yet, but I believe we intend to fill those in right @daisy1664?@veritaspunk everyone else who has offered help or edits have been interested in the guide, you've done nothing but argue about why the thing we worked so hard on shouldn't exist, so now you're just harping on it.
juniperrains • 22 June 2017 at 6:36 PM
@jardoz I'm looking forward to it. This isn't an easy task you've taken on. Good luck π
veritaspunk • 22 June 2017 at 6:39 PM
@jardozI merely asked a question to you, then just recently emphasized the question ... you misinterpret my curiosity for chastisement. Sure I'm not going to throw out numbers because the whole premise for my engagement on this topic is to understand your logic such as why is Vattone and Vecker listed the same ? This is not harping ... it's curiosity to find your logic in it ... As for what I think it should be valued at, well I'm not constructing a list ... when the time comes in that particular situation the exact price or ranges are undefined, in hypothetical world... but you have this list, this guide with a process to render out a result that is "legitimate" so what criteria was used in assigning 4.5k for both of those creatures ? .
quetzalcoatl • 22 June 2017 at 6:42 PM
@veritaspunkYes I fully intended on commenting but have been at work all day. No need to ask the same thing twice, saw it the first time. 1. This guide is simply that. A GUIDE. Not an eggcave law. We are not stating here THIS IS THE WAY THE ONLY WAY, IT IS LAW. These are General going rates for creatures. A General range to help people not get scammed or overcharged. That happens ALOT. So that point alone = this guide is in fact useful to try and end obscene greedy sneaky players taking advantage of people. Which in turn results in people feeling forced to leave the site and the site is hopeless. This is happening TOO MUCH TOO OFTEN and is a major issue. So sad but its the hard truth here that can not be disputed in any way. I have seen too much hurt around here and too much ugliness. This guide is to provide confidence, hope and something trustworthy for the community to lean on. THIS GUIDE IS A POSITIVE THING. And it's about time someone took a stand around here to help EVERYONE. So if you want to continue to pick that apart, then go ahead. Because your debates here make very little sense to me. 2. TS OASIS AND METEOROID creatures are INSANE all over the board in asking prices and it's not cool not is it fair. This also comes into play with you asking me about vecker vs. Vattone. Let me ask u this.... Do you seriously think an available nonretired TS creature should cost 4k cc and be the same value as a popular rare CSP from 2013? NO. 3. That being said, vecker is yes older and higher rarity index than vattone HOWEVER a creatures popularity makes it worth more. Thus why vattone is more and same as vecker. Vecker is not sought. Vattone is highly sought after. Bought mine at 4.5k bout vecker at 3k. Because trying to find a vattone uft and less than 4k is not an option because it's on everyone's wishlist. Raising veckers cost is unfair and would put it higher than others that are more sought after and in fact worth more. 4. There are variables With EVERYTHING in life. That is science. Of course these general current values will fluctuant and can change in the future as things age and creatures become more valuable/ others more popular/ etc. So many variables. These are a General value range AS OF CURRENT. As stated in first post and on guide, we plan to update frequently these values as they change. Did you skim that part too? 5. Auctions are to get deals.... That is thee very point to auctions. Players start cheap to clear out stuff and bidders get discounts. These guide values are not based upon deals you would find at auction. That has nothing to do with it. People will always want more and want to give less no matter what. That is the variable you pointed out...... And that variable can never be "controlled" ..... Because that is the way humans work in the world. Buy cheap sell high. Get more more more and underoffer on goods to get deals. This is the way of the world my friend and will always be the way. Science. People do what they want to do. People will be against this guide and others see it as a positive blessing and understand what we are trying to do..... HELP THE COMMUNITY. It's a beautiful thing and if you can't see that then I'm sorry..... You should take your negative confusing views regarding this guide, elsewhere. Thank you hope all concerns were answered for you. Edit: your debates are not logical . but your question regarding vecker and vattone was . also no bashing here and no put downs were ever done.
veritaspunk • 22 June 2017 at 6:48 PM
@daisy1664I apppreciate the response, It got misinterpreted from merely a question about two creatures being listed as the same. Since this is said to be legitimate from you, I figured you went from a certain set of criteria applied to all. It was all curiosity nothing else. This is useful, useful to many, even if my questions remain unclear. Take Care & All the best :-)
quetzalcoatl • 22 June 2017 at 6:56 PM
@veritaspunkI did use a certain set of criteria. Popularity, rarity, age, accessability of people putting the creature uft and how sought after it is on people's wishkists, csp/non csp/le etc. and have traded constantly and seen trades. Did research . every creature was examined and held up against other creatures to determine fair range. They all are connected that way and variables were examined with all. Have a good day.
juniperrains • 22 June 2017 at 7:00 PM
@jardoz I'm sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if you could tell me if the amount you listed for Tuswine was 300-400 ec or cc.
shirona • 22 June 2017 at 8:22 PM
@juniperrains Asteroid creatures can range from 200cc-500cc, depending on popularity and demand. Tenalp, for example, normally go for the higher end while parets would've gone for less until they've retired and now can go for 500cc+.And that would CC for the tuswine, not ec.
juniperrains • 22 June 2017 at 8:24 PM
@element Thanks for the advice! I've been on hiatus for about a year now, so I figured I would ask.
shirona • 22 June 2017 at 8:26 PM
@juniperrains No problem! Welcome back from hiatus! π
juniperrains • 22 June 2017 at 8:28 PM
@element Thanks, It's good to be back!
quetzalcoatl • 22 June 2017 at 8:55 PM
@juniperrains Those creatures are listed π I believe we have them all filled in now. Tenlap is a bit more than the others because more popular but the rest are all around the same and cost lower.@element Thanks for answering that xD long day at work haven't been able to be on much yet today
shirona • 22 June 2017 at 8:57 PM
@daisy1664 You're welcome π
quetzalcoatl • 22 June 2017 at 11:19 PM
Feedback of any kind is completely welcome here!! We want to hear from the community and are 100% open to these things. Also, your trade data! Anything at all you would like to discuss. With that being stated, Please make sure when asking questions and stating opinions/feedback that it is clear, precise, and logical. That your point is stated clearly. This Guide is meant to be a positive thing and was made to help the EC Community. I'll outline a few key points to avoid any future confusion.Guide Goals::1. Put a stop to scammers/ people getting taken advance of. Creating awareness2. Put into place a logical / legitimate sense on "creature values" in hopes that unfair inflation decreases. Especially in TS creatures3. Give EC Community confidence and hope. Ease their minds, that by using this guide as reference, they won't get taken advantage of - Easing stress. No longer feeling like they are "being left in the dark" with values.4. Creating a general stability on creature trading. Hopefully to prevent ugly creature bidding wars, that can cause conflict and drama. Yes, this is an open trade market. But this is merely a Guide, not a LAW. 5. Creating a positive mood / outlook on trading.Reasons why these values can be deemed as trustworthy:1. These are based on a current record and are a range of values set within the last 5months. They do not include auction values, as auctions are cheaper and meant to give people deals on creatures. 2. Popularity, Rarity index, age, CSP vs. Non CSP, LE/Retired/Monthlies, etc. Have all been taken into account when making these guide values. Every creature has been compared to one another and all variables have been accessed. 3. Extensive trade research has been done, a trade log has been filed and organized everyday within the last 5months. Recorded our personal trades we have done our selves and trades we have witnessed being done by others. Also have asked many value experts/older users and these have been incorporated into this guide, as well.4. Updates will be frequent and any change / fluctuation in the market will be noted and updated on a VERY regular basis!
ufo • 25 June 2017 at 1:35 AM
Our guide is now 100% complete!! We will still be finessing values as we see more trade data and updating as values change. Also we made this as a labor of love to give back to the EC community and help out new players. We are still new to the site and know how it feels to start out here...We have also included a disclaimer and FAQ supplementary page to clear up any misconceptions about our intentions. πEnjoy the guide and thanks for using it!! β€οΈ
tamora • 25 June 2017 at 7:22 AM
@jardoz @daisy1664Thank you very much for the hard work you put into that guide, it is really helpful, especially because I'm terrible with values πBut I was just wondering about a few values: You stated that all values are in CC, except otherwise stated, or did I get that one already wrong? xDSo am I right, that Gansokoro, Kujak, Nulli, Qamarat and Tamsi already go for CC values? Wow! That was really fast. And what stood out: For the Quadwing, Rix and Yastara the prices are 150k and higher and it's not stated that it's EC. The Yastara even has a CC behind it. So this might be a typo? π
quetzalcoatl • 25 June 2017 at 3:17 PM
@tamoraThanks glad you find it useful! Those are cc but doesn't include auction discounts or cove clear out prices. I may go back through and double check a few of thoseThe others should actually be 50k-125k EC so thanks for pointing that out!! I'll alert @jardoz to edit those
tamora • 25 June 2017 at 3:19 PM
@daisy1664Thank you very much for the answer! π

wigglytuff • 27 June 2017 at 6:38 PM
@daisy1664 I'm too lazy to read all the comments so I don't know if someone already said this but you should add a... er, general thing. You probably don't get that. Here's what i mean: Put a list of times when creatures were available, ex. CSP of 2013 are normally worth ____., or also cave monthlies from the month previous month are worth ____. Ping me if you don't get it.
quetzalcoatl • 27 June 2017 at 6:59 PM
@wigglytuff A general "value" thing/ set price can not be determined based upon the year/age alone for creatures because every creature varies. This is due to also popularity and rarity , not just age. So every creature from say 2013 is a different value. You use Ctrl + F to find the species you are looking forThat really defeats the entire purpose of the creature guide if there was that kind of general pricing bracket. Thats not valid or reliable and not how creature values work There is a disclaimer though which explains ALL things that were considered and researched in the legitimate determining of these values. Each creature is its own separate price value
jello • 27 June 2017 at 7:20 PM
@daisy1664 @jardoz On the Qamarat price, i highly doubt that it is worth 200-300 cc. I have found an average price for Qamarats to be around 75-135K.
quetzalcoatl • 27 June 2017 at 7:29 PM
@jellifyshThose sound like auction prices. i say 200k-300k ec is accurate going rate and that is a typo there. I'm going through the guide now and updating as I have found some issues/typos. Just read the most immature rant about our guide on someoneβs creature profile. If you have something to say, say it to me and if you donβt want to help with the guide or be helpful In your critique, block me and steer clear. I have very little tolerance for peopleβs poor behavior. That being said I really appreciate all the graittidude and nice words and help from the majority of the community π there are good people on egg cave, theyβre out there!
luv • 5 July 2017 at 10:26 PM
@jardozI am not sure if this was about the mention of the guide I had on one of my creature profiles from a little while back, but if it was I'd just like to say that wasn't at all meant as a rant and was entirely serious. I think your guide is a phenomenal resource that helps lots of people and will prevent a lot of bad trades, and I am sorry we got off on the wrong foot. I know you two put a lot of work into it, I'm not proud of how I handled everything in the past and I am doing everything I can to make things right, so I am here to say that this guide is great and I fully support its mission, and I hope that it wasn't me who was misconstrued because negativity was definitely not my intention.
ufo • 5 July 2017 at 11:23 PM
@luv I was referring to @iridescenceβs rant on her side.
