Hey everyone! So I started something like this awhile back for the purpose of encouraging more creature to creature trades and less with CC, and it was pretty popular, so I thought it might be fun to give it another go but with a new twist! This time, I’d just like to do something to help trading in general. I have no idea if this is going to work or just flop, as the format’s a lot different than it used to be and it might just get really chaotic in here, but it’s worth a shot! I feel like overall trading activity across the site has decreased, and as a user who has always loved the thrill of a really good trade, that’s upsetting to me. The topic is called “speed trading”, although the purpose is kind of a general trading hub. It’s a place to share a list of your UFT creatures/cc/etc, whether that’s just a quick list you drafted, a link to your own trading topic, or links to lots, as well as what you’re looking for, so you can increase exposure to your trades and reach a larger audience than people who might be scanning the TC/your topics specifically.

The idea behind something like this is that if everyone uses their first post to introduce themselves, you get enough people in here that people can ctrl+f to try and quickly locate creatures they’re interested in, as well as helping each other out if you see something you know someone else is interested in by pointing it out to them. The trade centre kind of accomplishes this purpose, but trades cycle in and out frequently and lots of users choose not to keep lots up in case they have to rearrange creatures/change names/etc. It’s also a little frustrating trying to search for creatures you’re looking for one by one when it’s unlikely most will be there at all. Another advantage to a topic is once you’ve posted what you have and what you like, the topic can also be used for it’s normal purpose, which is coming up with trades and offers, hopefully more efficiently as everything can be discussed in the same place. For the first little while I’ll give out prizes periodically and randomly to encourage activity, though if this does pick up I’m not sure how long that’ll last.

To clarify, how this starts is by simply posting your name, the things that you’re trading, and what you’re seeking out in return. I would highly encourage making a list so people can ctrl+f through it! My example will be below.

Hopefully I’ve made the instructions clear enough, but don’t hesitate to ping me for more info if needed!
