"If you don't want it, you can eat something outside. This kept me going for years. I could go get a few jackrabbits to cook up." Xander said.

"I'll eat it..." Azalea mumbles. She didn't know how to find her own food. Might as well eat what's given to her. Besides it's been a while since she last ate.

"Let me show you the best way to." Xander took two pieces of bread and laid them out. He sliced the cheese and put it on the bread. Then, he pulled a broiling hot metal tray out of the fire pit and put the sandwich on it. The cheese melted within seconds. He carefully took it out and took a big bite. Cheese strands gooped off of the bread.

@asrieldreemurr Yep! Still open. Z-Tyla stuck the bread in the fire to toast it. "It's not as quiet as here and it has so many crowds. It'll be easy to hide. It has food and clean water and plenty of places to hide." Xander said. "At night, if you go to the top of the roofs, you can see the whole city lit up and glowing. It's beautiful."

Z-Tyla looked up abruptly. "Someone's here." She flicked her robotic arm, shaping it into a gun. "Hide." She ordered. "Not that I know of." Xander said, standing up. "Follow me. I have a secret place we can hide." He walked to the rickety bed and shoved it aside. A trapdoor lay under it. He opened it up and held it for Azalea.

Xander climbed down the ladder and closed the trapdoor. Z-Tyla cocked her gun, ready to defend her friends.

"Nobody but me and Z-Tyla. I wouldn't put it past Isaiah to know, though. He could have tracked me here last time I came. It's not likely, though." Xander said softly.

"Well, you're certainly the least menacing member of generation X I've ever seen." Z-Tyla put down her gun. She turned it back into her arm. She grinned and stomped on the floor to signal Xander and Azalea that everything was fine.
