Hello !
Welcome to Very Heavy "Make Eggcave Better Place" ideas post.
Please read it all and I am sorry if its too long but I only want to express all ideas that I come up with that can make Eggcave better place and Help You All Not To Be Frustrated Or Angry AND STOP THIS ALL MASS QUITTING.
At least I hope that they do so ^^.

I am here for 1 year and 5 months so maybe I am not the oldest member but like everyone here I see that something wrong started to happen.

And I don't try to do @Ian job for him I just want us - people to express their opinion so we would have few good long awaited changes so the site would become better and this is all ^^.

Sadly we many members are quitting those days and newbies almost don't have a chance to get any of the eggs that they want unless they want only cave "junk" ☹️, and without CC most of the pets are not available
- If we carry on like that we will turn into something that eggcave was not ever meant to be - side that you need to pay for everything that will slowly choke without new users.
Of course I don't think that Ian would allow it.

newbies don't have a chance period nor does any one who has been here a while to get any rare creatures because of ...

a. no cash, or access to cash
b. no one wants cave eggs (rare holders that is)
c. greed
d. hoarders
e. all of the above

that's where EC should come in; creatures in the cash shop should be able to be purchased with EC (making every one FEED; isn't that the idea)

Of course, having access to cash isn't always that great either because:

a. spend to much; killing budget
b. buy gifts for others and find them dead later
c. major creature begging
d. all of the above

Otherwise, I think Egg Cave is fun for all ages x

I also know that he promised to release more cave egg This is great
and I am really looking forward to those but few cave eggs wont fix situation because 2-3 later they will be junk ☹️.

I have few Ideas to change this state because I want to make this place better - I remember when I was a newbie only 1-2 days here I wanted to quit.
I joined because I saw Onny somewhere - I wanted to adopt it - and I didn't realise that it was CC ☹️. And all my egg were "junk" even they were pretty but It occurred to me that I will never get an Onny, Tine, Foo,Florn, not talking about other CC eggs only because I was poor that time and paypal was not in my country If you have money to support Credit Card ☹️. *sniff*

If I didn't meet some nice people I would quit.I was really sad and I think that most of the newbies are exactly the same - all their eggs are junk and they will have hold those Le's for a year or more to get one CC - I recently saw Flowerfur and more Le's offered for just one CC and no one offered. So what's chance that newbie will get his dream Gobbler ?

Don't get me wrong I like to have something to look for to search for but not when its impossible to find !
And I know that we need Cash Shop to make eggcave prosper but I come up with some ideas that can hopefully make situation better.

What's is my ideas - in few words shift the situation so it won't be CC - gold LE - silver after few years and Cave junk ☹️

A)Cave Eggs
Sadly cave eggs are consider as junk now.
With is bad for eggcave users that are still in love with them not to mention newbies and poor eggcave artist ☹️ - what would you feel if your art was considered as junk !?

My Idea shift the eggs - not retiring shifting.
-For example egg "A" is available for 2 weeks but is "retired" for next 2 years egg "B" is available for only 2 days but will be back in few months or... years 😃 Another example egg C is available for 8 hours only and will be back in X time. In the Cave in present moment we would have only like 3-5 species available and they would be constantly shifting and if nobody knows when they will be back nobody will call them junk.

let there be some surprises!! kind of like getting a MO (that doesn't seem to be meaningful anymore?)

And If something will be available for only few hours ( Imagine if Marlay would be available for only 6 hours!) or they will be only 50 eggs in existence so people WILL give some CC for it so any lucky"newbie" would have access to CC and He/She will have better chance to get what they want also a)Le Eggs
The same goes to le eggs but "retire" them for much longer and some of them would be back only as CS and not after some years. You can never know - If they will be available for 4-6 days they will probably be back only as CC someday or someyear lol.

And time in the cave will be different for all of them and since it will be only 3-5 species in the cave including them they will be easier to catch and most of them much faster to dissapear.

B)Other ideas
More hard to get pets - asteroid is very good idea since Mo is not very rare now - would want to realise some shiny Mo's in circulation one for each colour and different in rarity so people would want to swap/trade for them.

But aside that We NEED more chances of getting some unique creatures form cave or for example from Volcano, Magical heart of the Jungle,Seamer city ^^. With this idea I thought about something called Treasures

- You would stumble upon those when browsing the side and you would be able to do some creative stuff with those - attach to your pets and they will gain some nice powers.

For example you just found amazing pair of protective gloves now you can give this to one of your pets and he/she will be now able to Try stealing one of the eggs from Volcano - that would not be very wise without those lol. So you would have extra motivation to seek treasures because they would give you abilities necessary to steal unique eggs/travels/gain access to some parts of the side - like snorkel you wouldn't be able to visit Seamer city ^^lol.

Also I would state for EC shop that we would be able to buy some EC only pets and yes they would be shifting as well maybe around 15 every month so DOUBLE FEED EVENT would have more impact 😃 - everyone would want to earn some EC for new pets 😃 and some stuff would be really expensive in there.
Also I would state that some of CC only stuff could be also available there for bigger price - like freezing potion - 10 millions.

And I really like the idea of re-using travels and retiring them - but only for a certain amount of time or until Holiday season so only few Travels would restock ^^.

I also heard about lottery and If this is going to be creature lottery I think that we really need it ^^. Beside creature lottery I would also add CC lottery.

And I would advice to make the amount of EC on the side trivia bigger because now Its just not worth looking at sadly.

I think that we also need a side poll's and in the future some other method of earning CC.
I know that the side needs money but maybe we could "afford" to give 50CC to each player that complete all the poll's, once in a few months or something like that ^^.

C)Cash Shop Eggs
I wont ask to stop CC month releases but to lower their price to 250CC each.

*note If lottery would be enough to supply very old CC/LE and sometimes we would have 20 older CC/LE drawing for Christmas so people could get them it wont need idea below*

As for more I would like to suggest bringing back one "old friend" every month (old Le or CC) - but there would be a catch - only for the first day of month, @Ian would decide what he want to bring back so if someone wont buy that Onny now, he can see it few year later ^^. But he also would be able to swap some rare cave creatures for it 😃 And this would be great - something to stay for, to look for.

Also prices would vary not for the pets but for the stages ! Example for egg tine I would pay 1000CC for egg stage, 750 first, 500 second and for most common last stage 250 and is okay because eggs/young pets are rarer! So rarity will still be here.

This can be useful because some people collect eggs and some don't, some people want to have only 2 stage but some like 3rd more.
And the site would earn extra money so new CC pets could be cheaper.

More or less Ian would decide.

And I think that would be better than plush pets with codes - I love that Idea but when I thought about it longer it occurred to me that Its not fair to people that live outside USA - shipping cost would absolutely kill you ^^.

Not to mention that rare pets would be still rare and more people would see sense in buying CC - because it will disappear for long time. But not retire so If you don't have money you can just wait until next month and you wont miss some pets forever and always you can trade some rare cave eggs if you want or older pet. And if you don't have anything to swap for it don't worry it will come back some time in the future - when you will be ready ^^.
So people wont get frustrated and quit ! ☹️

C) Conclusion
I am not talking that eggcave is bad now but I know that before I joined It was better and Its really not about not getting an Onny I just see people, my friends quitting and many newbies wont stay here for longer because they are told that they "Wont Get Any Of those Rare Eggs With This Junk" And I need to add that most of eggs now are retire or would be retiring so how would it look after 2-3 years ? 200/300 pets that any newbie wont ever get That is why they don't see point in staying ☹️

And I really want to have fun on this site - with is hard when the person I know quits.
And we all want it become more popular and key to popularity is user friendliness. Just look at sites like Dragon Cave - its completely free and well living from donations. I have had much fun with many pets sites and I really love eggcave I am waiting impatiently for new eggs both CC and Cave ones. But I am aware that eggcave can be better.

And I know that @Ian wont make this CC only I just want to suggest something to make it even better/more fun/user friendly place so less people would quit 😃.

Again I know that This is long but I spend much time on it just because I want this place to grow better ^^

And I know that some of you wont like some of those because having other visions And those are just my suggestions tell me what are yours 😃 maybe they are even better ^^
And I am sorry If your eyes bleed 😃

how heartless & discouraging to new users and a few of us old(er) ones. what's the point of having a cave and a trade center? don't dare call someone on it though, they will block you! lol

@anori I totally agree with you and I often think about it. Almost 100% of new releases come from the Cash Shop Park. That doesn't seem fair to those who don't have CC and also makes me think it isn't the original purpose of egg cave either, since it was supposed to be free. Besides, much people don't have the chance to get their dream eggs because of the CSP! I know it may seem so when you look at my cove, but I don't have CC. I simply joined egg cave when the rarest creatures were easier to get and now I have to struggle a lot to get all of the new releases, and that is totally annyoing to me and unfair to everyone. Sometimes this makes me think about quitting =\

@Ian I miss egg cave's first year!

I think @novrain62 is right. How would you all feel if someone tell you that you wont ever achieve what you want just because he know that you wont :/.

This is madness and this side will choke if we let those people treat others like junk just because they say so !

Also its EGGcave not JUNKcave those are pets not junk and those are people not trash :/.

@shadielle Yes and we must change it because If we only are here to pay everyone will leave ☹️.

@shadielle that is why there should be creatures that a user can purchase with EC

a. it encourages feeding - as we should be doing instead of spending a ton on keeping creatures at TIMS because many users choose not to feed

b. (a.) is pretty much the main reason

c. the majority of Egg Cave users are children and have no access to cash - and/or their parents have important things to spend their hard-earned cash on - today's economy is harsh!

Too lazy to read everything today, but I do agree that something should be done to make the situation a bit less hopeless for newbies. The EC => CC converting idea would be good or something where everyone gets like 100 free CC a month, so they can save up for CC creatures. Releasing more limited edition cave eggs would be really good too. I've also at some point suggested to allow 'reconstruction' of retired pets at the Science and Research center for a huge amount of EC/CC, then at least there is some hope of getting that one creature you want so badly, and it would also essentially cap the maximum price traders could ask for (which I don't think is a bad thing). Think about it an Onny for 2000CC would actually be cheap if you look at what they're going for now.... But that idea got shot down...

But there will probably be new LE cave eggs for Halloween, there were last year too 😊

I would bring back creatures from the past in a heartbeat even if it was for one or two days a year and if you don't get it then, there's always next!

Or ... simply put them in the cave like the MO and let it be a surprise! I actually think the MO should be hidden again ..

Also, how about Ian releases a new egg every month and that egg will only be available to get for that month until being retired forever? 😃 And they would be hard to get, thus making them valuable and a lucky 'newbie' might find one and be able to trade it for CCs?

That sure is a lot of good ideas 😱 I'm a little in shock after reading it. I totally agree. But i still like egg cave the way it is, i don't really care for "junk" or "special" or whatever, i like what i like and i like it (if that makes sense). And if i can't get a creature, i get over it. I'm sure there are many people like this.
But your ideas are still good, have you told Ian any?

I think it's not a good idea to put retired creatures back in the cove, since then a lot of these creatures will still end up going to people who don't even really want them and it will still be the same people who can trade for them. I suggested reconstructing them since then you'll have to work really hard, but you can get that one or two creatures you REALLY want, without having to trade mountains for em, but just because you worked really hard 😊

If there ever was an option to reconstruct creatures I'd work my ass off for another Onny XD

@lyricgeek I like that idea too we certainly need more valuable pets. The only thing that I would consider is retiring pets forever - I don't think Its a good way because for example for 3-5 years those pets would be not available at all and If people would know that they would retire they would hoard them so later users wont be able to get them. That's why I prefer retiring for a certain time and releasing only for a day or few hours - so everybody would get the chance to earn pets that they want and not what is rare/ never going to return. And this gives equal chances to both new users and old ones.

@dionaea Yes and many people with rare creatures wont agree that's why my ideas wont make those pets less rare just AVAILABLE at all - because think what will happen for 2-3 years ☹️

@lennyangel Yes just recently I send @Ian Ticket and now I am posting it all here. Me too and I think most of the users are quitting because they are told they don't have anything and they wont - and its easier to get over one pet but 20 or 30 - in that point eggcave is loosing in their eyes

@dionaea they don't necessarily have to go in the cave, but if they did they could go in for a day or two like @anori suggested

or they could be a cash shop egg for a day or two - maybe recontruction works - but some I like just the way there are - like the onny & the foo - i don't want a purple fox - but maybe some do.

Some of us just weren't here from the beginning and missed these very special creatures (gorgeous creatures - thanks to whomever their artist was) and would love the opportunity to have one of our own. We surely can't get them any other way - even offering a whole cove doesn't get you one!

@lennyangel to each his or her own - but we should have the chance - even if you don't want to participate - there should be no such thing as 'junk' eggs and whoever started that should re-consider. someone created those pictures and should be commended - most all creatures are so adorable.

I am scared for 2 or 3 years from 90% species would be unavailable - retired forever. Just imagine 450 pets you can't get and 10 that you can but they are junk to everyone and 50 exclusive that you can buy before they retire FOREVER *brrr*

@anori - i know exactly what you are saying but trying to get a site full of kids to see it that way is a totally different ballgame - after all this site is ruled by them hahaha and some of them 'bite' really hard and they know who they are! lol 😋

* just give us a chance & give the poor newbies to share in the joy - but if none of these things ever happen - we have tomorrow to look forward to (or do we). I love(d) the MARLAY!!

In my thread I didn't suggest to change them much, just to add a marker to show what's a reconstructed pet and what's not, like the stars or a banner like the essence of Litsdnats.

I suggested to name it reconstruction based on the Calla, the Calla went extinct and can now be 'reconstructed' at the Science and Research center. Retired creatures are also in essence extinct in the cave and could therefore be added to the reconstruction options in the S&R center. Reconstruction has nothing to do with changing the appearance of the creature.

I agree, the people saying it's still possible to trade haven't thought of what the situation will be like in the future when there are more users and probably even less of these pets. I just don't think these pets should become available through anything random, they should be earned by the people who really want em.

You are so right. These days I find myself having it harder and harder because I can't get those cute creatures without CC. And I can't even trade for rare eggs because they want other eggs I can't possibly give them.

Eggcave should be able to fix this problem before almost everyone leaves.☹️
