Most Underrated and Overrated Species

Just thought of this for fun. 😋

What do you think is the most overrated species on EggCave?

What about underrated?

Personally, I think the Geockard is super underrated!! The pastel colors are so pretty and every stage is so cute. ❤️ The Mishqen too.




..... I'm gonna say it....

I think the Macbot and Doovoo are overrated. Also the Muffette. I love cats but for some reason I've never wanted a Muffette 😋 To be honest, I think a lot of the oldies are overhyped, and a lot of people want them simply because they're the more valuable creatures on the site. That may not be true, but most of them are not my cup of tea. 😸

I feel like the Janot is underrated! Its really cool uwu
And yeah, the Macbot and Doovoo are overrated.

I'd say that a lot of the weirder and / or "spookier" ones are pretty underrated, such as the Horrorse and Mystic. A lot of nice-looking creatures are overlooked simply because they're not very valuable CC creatures or cute animals.

Quite a few of the older creatures are a little overrated in my opinion. I get it, they're old and have some very pretty art, but some of their designs are a little boring to me. The Clous is just a star with a smiley face, the Oscoa is just a blue cat (and the Trisk is better anyway, don't kill me too hard), and so on. The only thing they have going for them is "it's cute" and that seems to be the sole reason why people like them so much (especially considering the fact that everyone seems to be obsessed with freezing every old creature in its "super cute" baby stage). Though, I can agree that some of the older creatures, such as the Draqua, Flofbite and Lunantis, are very deserving of their popularity or value (and they're totally not on my "impossible dreamies" list).

A week later and I only just realised now that I wrote Trask instead of Trisk. I mean, the Trask is nice too, but it seems weird to compare a blue cat to a plant creature.

I agree, the Clous is cool, but overrated. I also agree that people often overlook the nice-looking creatures that aren't worth very much. Even some commons are awesome! And cave monthlies.

In my opinion I think the Chamollusk is underrated, I love the ocean vibe and the mix with a pink and blue, it’s beautiful. I also think that the Sammied is a bit underrated, it’s so cute! Just my opinion though

i feel the trask is quite underrated, i love its design and the artwork is beautiful! i feel that the encalop is a bit overrated, i guess i just never really saw the appeal 😱

Honestly, I'm not a huge Trask fan. I never really like the humanoid creatures, lol 😃 I agree with you about the Encalop. It's cool, but I wouldn't pay so much for it

gourdies are so underrated! they're so goofy and cute lmao and they're one of my faves xD an overrated one would be nym? yes they're pretty but 30-40k cc for one is overkill imo

@izziebee1017 I think the Odraz is super underrated!!!! It's so sad, come on, it's a rainbow surfer cat, what more do you need?! #SupportTheOdraz Also, when it hatches, it's adorable! The Foo is also underrated because it's "literally just a fox" but, read the description, then you'll regret saying that! What I think is overrated is the Biwo and Trisk (though I do like them!) people might hate me for saying this but I think the onny is overated, I for some reason hate Onny's, although I do like the spoto, cotofly, spunny, yubby, and chocab though. I think most people want an Onny because it's cute, but to me it is just a rabbit with purple eyes

I think the Danaus is criminally underrated. The artist that made that is definitely one of my favourites.

The Frion is overrated. The colors are too "creamy" for my taste, and it doesn't really look cute or fierce or anything, it just looks kinda derpy to me. Now, I'm not hating on those who want one, but I just think it's not great and I can definitely live without one.

I feel like the Skrulline might be underrated, though. I don't see it often, and it's amazing! It's got creepy elements, but they're the right kind of creepy. Sort of edgy? It's also adorable in the first stage! I need one so bad... 😸

I think the terapox is really Underrated, since it's so adorable, and not much people talked about it on it's release. It was kinda sad, since i loved it so much when i found out about it, and no ones gives the dinos here on eggcave much love. ☹️

The trisk is also a bit overrated, (no offense preciesgems) because the first 3 stages are cute, but the last stage isn't as well drawn as the rest.

To me I have a couple favourites that are rather underrated;
Doomwalker, just looks cool
Shrew, mostly because it's really cute and overlooked being really common
Storticai, great design and nice description
Ulumin, speaks for itself

Stuff that I find overrated always seem to have a dum design but are either rare or really popular;
Biwo, it's literally just a misty wolf
Rebonne, I get it, looks cute, but the colours don't really fit and make the rebonne look like a unicorn barfed it up
Tasma, I'm guessing it's popular due to wolfs being a favourite animal for many, and the fact that it's easily obtained from the cave, but it's just a wolf with funky colours

Zanaize - Better than Doovoos
Quetki - Such a colorful dragon!
Fife - IT'S ADORABLE AND NEEDS RECOGNITION ITS THE PERFECT SHEEP
Runton - Fat adorable mouse!
Igsoro - It's adorable in my opinion!


Overrated
Onny - It's just a rabbit. What's so special about it?
Doovoo & Macbot - There are so many critters that are way better than those two.
Teason - It's just a teacup... (with a face)
Purita and Furrep - They're just ugly in my opinion... the only stage that actually cute is the second stage.

I think Foarlum's are underrated and Solis are slightly overrated, though I do like the Solis first stage though
