Hey, how rare are Alt black dragons exactly?

I bred two of my dragons and they made my first ever Black Alt, Railfo.

Then I bred two of my other dragons right after Railfo grew up and I got another Alt, and named her Lacyndra.

I bred Railfo and Lacyndra together and I *just* hatched their baby as yet another Alt.

I know for some people it's impossible to get Alts, but then I get three Alts in a row? I'm thrilled, but confused at the same time.

Usually both Black and Vine Alts go through rare and common phases. At one point, they might be extremely easy to get, and at another, they might be very rare. (: It seems like the Black Alts are going through a common phase. Congrats on all of the alts, though!

@dreamer You are very lucky. While not super rare, alts are fairly uncommon. Out of 2 years of playing I've only got two alts (both black).

@dreamer The 3rd Black I got was an Alt; it was the 3rd generation of a Black x Magi staircase lineage 😊 I haven't really tried anything with Blacks yet, but I caught a CB Black yesterday! *squeals*

I came across them a few times, but I was too slow, or someone else was just faster. But I finally got one the day before yesterday.

Yeah I get rare eggs, but I don't always keep them, mainly because I already have them. Also I don't have all the rare eggs. I only started near Halloween, so I'm still building my cove.

I've been playing since the end of December of 2009. My first dragon is an Earth.

In 2010 in December, trees were fairly common; They came up once every ten minutes. I still didn't manage to get one.

I managed to get a CB Sliver in November last year (my first silver!) I got one male Silver from her, which gave me another male Silver. I was trying to make a spiral lineage, and I failed.

The best lineage I have so far would be http://dragcave.net/lineage/jXWuf or a Fifth gen PB Waterhorse I'm working on right now (it's for a gold tinsel). Just now, I tried to breed a 4th gen and it auto-abandoned. UUGGGHHHHH. I forgot about the Whiptails I got from the AP.

Alright, I'm going to leave the requests up for 24 more hours. At this time tomorrow I will open it up for people to ask for more than one egg. So the two of you who already asked for an egg can ask for a different one. 😉
On Saturday I will breed all V-Day dragons and abandon their eggs.

Yeah, so my Silver hates me and I bred it several times before. Out of 5 living dragons, 1 is silver and the other 4 are vampires (better to have Vampires than Daydreams 😋). If I get a Silver, I'll trade it with you. What's your Dragon Cave Username?

Well, welcome from the vacation! ^^

Just refresh the Abandoned Eggs area and you'll eventually find some. That's how I found mine. You need to be super quick with taking them as there's often 100+ users waiting for them too.
