@leafpelt They're basically the "family tree" of your egg. It shows you the parents, grandparents, great grandparents, great-great grandparents, great-great-- okay I think you get it now.

Eggs directly from any biomes in the Cave (Alpine, Coast, Desert, Forest, Jungle and Volcano) are CAVE-BORN, aka CB. Usually, CB eggs are more sought after than dragons with hideous, messy lineages. However, there are certain types of lineages that can be found here: bit.ly/Nfn2Po 😊

@leafpelt Yup. 😃 I think between everyone here we've got all dragon species except hollies (cause they are extremely hard to get).
Lineages don't matter unless you want them too. Some people like to make and collect pretty patterns with them.

@leafpelt Other than the cave there is the abandoned page (there's a link to it on the main cave page) and you can breed your dragons together. There is also a trading section on the DC forums, you can find all sorts of things there. But the cave is the main way of getting more dragons.

@leafpelt There are a few helpful links in the first post too 😊 Some people are picky about their lineages. You can also get 'inbred' dragons, which are dragons that have the same dragon in multiple places in the lineages.
dragcave.wikia.com/wiki/Which_egg_is_which can also help you define the eggs as well as give links to the dragon pages.

@leafpelt Basically, say a mother bred with a father. They bred a son. The son breeds with the mother (o_O") and they breed an egg. That egg is INBRED, because the mother appeared in the lineage more than once (once as the grandparent, and once as the parent). 😊

Here's a tip, which I hope helps - when getting new eggs, always remember to put them on click sites, so they don't die. You just need to write in your scroll name and tick the eggs/hatchlings you want to be put on the site. I generally use Eggs around the world (http://dc.makegames.de/scroll.html), but other players use other sites. Hope you find it fun here 😊

LOL, I bit 2 eggs with a vampire and 1 died and 1 stayed and turned into one. 😊 tried summoning again... I FAILED.

@chowchow2012 Hey, my sister's been on DC for more than a year now and she hasn't even got one. But the new update (that is coming in FIVE DAYS!) says that the more sets of Trios you have, the higher your chance is. And if you don't play the game that way, TJ09's still heightened the success rate 😊 Good luck!

never been there for a holiday release. When I was a newbie I didn't know what vampire dragons looked like and then ALSO being a newbie i saw like 3 vamp eggs in the AP and didn't claim them. looking back at that I feel so stupid.

@chowchow2012 The rarest thing I've seen in the AP is a Holly 😉 Around the Christmas season, people were breeding all their Christmas dragons. Sadly, I was too slow to catch it.

Well, not really, people just had faster-than-the-speed-of-light reflexes. =_="
