EggCave Site Themes? <3

I really love the nostalgia of the background of EggCave. However, since I have sensitive eyes, I have to use a specific browser to force dark mode because the completely white interface can hurt my eyes ^^;

I was wondering if there would ever be a chance that we could have Site Themes, that we can use to customize our experience on the site? Maybe a few holidays, events, (based on previous events, fan art, etc.) , and basic colors like black, blue, red, or green!

I know that this would mean that the ecode colors would look different, but my web browser changes the colors of the darker colors in dark mode, so maybe that could be emulated on the site? I know that on previous sites like this that I frequented, such as Pokefarm, had a way to code your own appearance of your experience on the site? (You could block certain codes to prevent any kind of cheating or anything, just using ecode for colors)

I am not used to doing this , so please let me know if there are any questions, I am happy to clarify! ♡

I support this! Everything can be optional and players can have the site remain the same if they so wish. Therefore, if someone did something custom with their browser, it may or may not be visible to other players, since everyone has different preferences.

I'd love a dark mode option because my eyes are very sensitive to light. Bright lights often causes migraines and cluster headaches for me, which I've suffered from for over ten years. I have my laptop on the lowest brightness setting, still too bright, so I also have an add-on that makes it even darker. But yeah a black background would be cool for the white text areas. x)

The background image and color do change for the seasons, but nothing else. So there are somewhat seasonal themes (backgrounds). I've only been here since autumn last year, so I've seen that (brown), winter (light blue), and spring (dark green). So not sure if this one remains for summer but seems like it'd change to a summer-themed background and color!

(just stating for the record I'm the 2nd one to vote for 'something else' -not the only thing I checked- but...)
I do like the traditional Eggcave theme and think I'd probably switch back to it most of the time on here. I do on most sites. Unless something is outlandishly garish to my eyes i usually prefer the sort of uniformity. And I really like the forest theme/greenery.
(srsly tho ppl... if you're going to check 'other' ... -_- )

@snowywinter Totally understandable! I would too, tbh xD It would be nice to have a dark mode or other cool options sometimes but I think I'd end up going back lol ^^

The themes on chicken smoothie are so silly!! Its a very nice part of the site and i'd love to see something even slightly like that here!

@vivian @daisycat I agree, I have very sensitive senses myself, this includes sight. I often suffer from migraines when exposed to bright lights or interfaces for too long.

Dark mode would be such a great thing to have on eggcave, but having that + different themes would be just awasome. Perhaps each theme could be available in dark and light modes? That would be interesting.

I think themes would be a fun addition! Basic color ones/dark mode to choose from, and then ones that show up for different holidays (I see @dibabeebees mentioned chicken smoothie's themes, and I definitely agree that it would be cool to have similar ones here!). The holiday ones could all be optional, of course, but the option to have them at all would be nice 😊

I would love to be able to change the color of the screen, green’s not one of my favorite colors and I sometimes get sick of looking at it! >.<

Absolutely love the idea of being able to use eCode to customize, I think it would just be so cool if each player could have their own unique eggcave! Great idea 😊 ❤️
