Monthly Themes

So last month's theme for monthlies was fire/lava, this month's theme is technology/robots...What themes are you hoping to see in the coming months, or what have your favorite themes been so far?

I'd personally love to see some autumn or ocean themed creatures! 😸

I love any nature or galaxy themes, I really loved April from this year, the Hanacat was so cute 😊

I agree! I think autumn and ocean themes would be beautiful, we might only need to wait a bit for the autumn ones! ❤️

I'm totally new here so I have no idea what already exists. But for September, I would love something farm-related. When I hear September I think of sunshine and gingham.

I've had random ideas pop into my head as "maybe-neat-but-also-probably-stupid monthly theme ideas". Here's the ones I can recall right now.

Deep-sea - a lot of deep-sea animals could make for some neat creatures.
Travelling funfair/carnival - don't know how hard it would be to pull off, but maybe it could be a fun theme. Not just for creatures, but for items too.
"Country themes" - take a random country and make some creatures based off folklore, traditions, native species, etc. Kinda like the "continents" CRW theme, I suppose?
Fairytales - though might be a bit vague? Not sure.
Pantomime - again, not sure how hard that would be to pull off. Probably a dumb idea, but including anyway.

@thaesda That would be so cool! I know there are a few farm-like creatures already (like the Clowver and Frango) but it would definitely be nice to see more! I love cows and chickens so much ❤️ Especially if they're fall themed 😊

@sparklefox I don't think they're stupid at all! I'd LOVE to see more deep-sea creatures, and the carnival theme sounds super fun 😃 (I don't know if you play Rescreatu, but there's a carnival event going on there right now and your post reminded me of that lol)

@thaesda Interesting on timing... We actually had a farm theme August 2021 ^^

(Themes can and do come around again in some way shape or form.)

@sparklefox Fairytales could be a fun one to pull off. Especially the way this site can do mash-ups.
(Now I'm imagining a were-wolf just enjoying a pick-nick basket full of goodies. - Nothing related to that theme, but more like Yogi Bear >.< ) Fairytales, Fables, & Myths. I certainly LOVE the way the Bolgfir & Faunan were done.

@provo7demons I love chickens SO much... and every so often I include a little species name dropping in hopes of one day getting more on here.

Overall though I'm usually happy just to see whatever comes along or support certain themes other people are vying for when one catches my interest.
I kinda just assume more winter/snow/ice creatures will come along in December or January or I'd be begging for more.lol. Blue. We've had a Pink theme, I'd definitely love to see a month of Blue.
If we hadn't recently had sorrow, I'd also say i'd love to have some more Black spooky creatures. (possibly for October.)

LOL... with the mention of the colored theme my brain just imagined having a crayon creature. "Faela City accidentally releases writing instrument creatures!" (So A.I., possibly helpful writing/drawing/painting companions.) Hee.. Calligraphy brush with Yazan ears.
(Okay... so maybe that's more of an Item collection, but that's where my tired fever brain went.)

@snowywinter Blue is my favorite color, I'd love to have a month of blue!

As for winter/ice creatures, I love the frosabit and parfridge, so it would be cool to have more creatures like that! (Ha. Cool. Accidental pun)

I'm not sure what has and has not been a monthly theme, only been an Egg Caver for less than a year, so my ideas may have already been implemented.

♥ Ice Cream (Searched this a week ago and doesn't seem to have been used.)
♥ Anatomy (I love anatomy in general, but for EC, could be fun for October! Think organs, bones, muscles.)
♥ Arts & Crafts (Paint, colored pencils, clay, paper, glue.)
♥ Flowers
♥ Music / Musical Instruments
♥ Sewing (Plushie-themed creatures with stitches, buttons, and various patterned fabrics.)
♥ Chemistry
♥ Electronics (This month's "Digital Cyberpunk" theme kinda plays on this.)
♥ Fruits & Vegetables
♥ Desserts (Goes with ice cream theme.)
♥ Café (Drink- and pastry-themed creatures and travels would be cute!)
