Here I'm with another contest!

This game is called guess the Finnish word. I'll give a word and your job is to guess what it means. Please do not search up the translations!! Just guess! It will be so much more fun 😃 I'll let you know the right answers at the end of this contest.

You can guess once a day. You'll recieve a ticket when you guess. That goes towards the prize raffle at the end.

This contest will run from 24th of March to 6th of April.

Please do not offer on the prize lots. 😊
If you don't claim your prizes within three (3) days, they'll be raffled for the next person or depending, put towards the next contest.

Here's my guess: vesi - to know
I barely know a few words in Finnish, but I noticed some slavic influences. In Polish "wiedzieć" means to know. "Wiesz" means "you know". "viesh" is a close transcription in English, so "viesi" and "wiesz" are kind of similar xD.

Loving all your answers and how you describe how you thought it would be it. For now, no right answers, not that it was needed but will say that someone did mention the word but only while explaining their reason for their word. It's so cool to see what people think. 😃

@cranberrycat1 I can't say it's not allowed but I'd like for future, that maybe even the first thing that comes to your mind, you could write that instead than copying someone's answer. Unless you thought the same thing! But it really doesn't matter in the end as this game is not about getting it right, just guessing 😃 😋
