Thirteen years ago, Egg Cave was launched and released to the public! Nearly 8,000,000,000 views later (yes, 8 BILLION!), Egg Cave is going strong. To all of our lovely players—thank you for being a part of our community. It's a truly special day!
This year's birthday creature is the Pinyanda! You can find it in the Cave through the rest of this month. After that, it will go on sale in the Cash Shop for 200 CC during the month of August.
Many thanks to @sky for the original creature submission and description—the first of its kind has been added to your account for free.
We're proud to introduce a major site improvement—the Items Database. This is located under the Explore tab underneath the Archives link. Note that 0-circulation items (i.e. very new items that have not yet been obtained) do not appear here until the first user obtains that item. Items must be in circulation to be seen and found at the Items Database.
Our favorite feature is the Travel Try On feature that allows you find any Travel or trinket and browse through any species and stage combination for that Travel. Try it!

Yeah, Ryu, I know the extent of our choice, particularly when we're outliers, but it doesn't _feel_ OK, calling a phone bonus a "Free Birthday Gift", y'know? I'd say phones are somehow felt as less of a "can create dozens of" than emails, just because most people have only one.

@pipkitten Some ppl are being rlly rude, but also i get theyre mad theyve been wanting f2p CC for years. Then when it finally comes out, you need a number (which was already an ehhh) and then this.. but understand EC isnt a super big site with millions of devs 2 fix/make things

@Ian, just a question/suggestion, since account abuse is so prevalent with free-CC stuff, is there any way to add a 'dismiss' button to that big yellow banner announcing the free CC? Or better yet, for any *verified* side-accounts, not show that banner at all? I can totally see--

@heatherm19 Actually, you can't even accidentally claim it on a side account. If you view the giveaway prize on anything other than a verified main account, it just says "Only main accounts may claim this prize."

Not having a phone to verify is valid, but there are other options. Complaining about 'having a deadline now' is a bit off, this feature has been in place for several weeks at the very least right? (Genuine question, I don't play much anymore)

You can ticket to ask for help, if the most commonly used option outside of your own phone number doesn't help. Jumping straight to 'wow I hate this site for making me do this!' is a bad take really. I'm sure Ian and team have already *been* thinking about the best way to do this

You want to talk security? It's a simple fact that using 2 factor authorization is far more effective at keeping you and your info safe than just using an email address. It's shockingly easy for someone to get your email info, claim to be you, steal your data... think about it.

And yeah, sure, it's maybe not great that the birthday CC requires you to be verified 'already'. On the other hand, it's *great* incentive to at the very least declare your main so that site abuse can be prevented, and you're just a little bit safer than before 😊

To those wanting to use the same email for all of their accounts, see if whatever site you use for email allows you to have "aliases." They're unique email addresses, but all go to the same inbox as your main email. I know Outlook has that functionality, not sure about others.

Well that concludes Ark Victory *week*. Very few travels for me this yr compared to last yr, no actual asteroid creatures, & mostly sentregg gifts. Grateful I got a few cool things; just felt off. Not much luck at the Cave either. *thud of exhaustion* Hope yall had better luck!❤️
