We've made an important update to the Monthly Challenge. Beginning tomorrow, we're ensuring that the same level of difficulty of the selected site-wide dailies is never chosen two days in a row. We understand that when the highest-difficulty tiers are chosen several days in a row that it's a real slog and becomes less fun.
Basically, we're taming the RNG gods to ensure that they don't hate you. Here's an example:
This is enforced for all daily types and difficulty tiers.
Note that, with this new update, it's still possible for the system to choose an unfortunate "heavy" day for the dailies. It's just that it cannot and will not happen several days in a row from here on out. If a heavy day occurs, the system must choose low and medium difficulty tiers the following day for relief. We hope that this helps. Have fun!

@ian no "use 10 items" two days in a row lol nice - I think bc of the timezone cooldown some people has said the games (alkub racing, sandrodon etc) should be rotated so it's also not the same one two days in a row?

Hi, I never found the quests difficult... except for the objects against the tokens (hard to achieve so many if the objects are not in the shop)

@sapphire12 Ooo that's a nice idea, I hadn't thought of that, but it would be really helpful! I like getting that sort of daily done at rollover because of the timezone.

this is a great change :] i personally havent really had time for the dailies at all but i love how open staff has been about changing and tweaking it so its more fair and fun for everyone!

with regards to the timezone issues with these site activities... are you all saying that these activities should be rotated/reset/winners declared at 12 midnight ECT alongside the rest of the dailies?

@ian I think they should be rotated each day. Say on March 14th the daily is to place your bet for the Alkub race. On March 15th the daily would either be the wall of sandrodons or the mysterious asteroid. That way the reset time on the site activities would not be an issue.

The problem is that users in non-USA time zones struggle to place their bet on the alkub race two days in a row, because if they place their bet after 6pm ECT on March 14th, they can't place their bet on March 15th until after 6pm ECT March 15th. Hope that makes sense @ian?

@sapphire12 for the "use 10 items" daily I've just been using two CC travels and just alternating using both on one creature! never waste an item again if you don't need to/want to (as long as you have access to at least two CC travels 😊)

@jlya this has now been implemented. site activities won't appear twice in a row between dailies that rotate at midnight.

@lexicon CC background can be used infinitely ? 😱 Personally, I was using an item from the Toy Shop that can be used until broken ^^ Thanks for the edits. It didn't bother me particularly, but it's cool 😸

@Ian Can using items for quests be counted towards that daily? It is using/consuming the item and I do not believe it counts as "generic actions like moving, discarding, donating..." This would be really helpful 🙏🏽

GAH have I mentioned how much I LOVE THIS SITE?? Thank you SO MUCH to the staff for listening to user feedback an repeatedly being open to adjustments! This is a pretty cool tweak, hopefully it will help even things out a bit across the month.

Never had an issue but i hope this helps others with their dailies! Only ones that ever gave me any trouble were '20 cave attempts' or whatever.

This is actually a wonderful update! Kinda sad about the CSP item "loophole" getting fixed... I think it should still be allowed since users paid good money for their CC items, but that's just my opinion 😊

I would 100% rather put the items into a quest than just using it on my creatures. Better than mindlessly repeating the action 10 times too

thanks for the update! Wondering if maybe you could tweak things with item use so that you don't get sent back to main inventory unless it breaks? Could back page, but still need to refresh to be able to use again..

Is this 3 days straight for "consuming 10 item"? That can be a cheap mission but I really want to save foods for quest, and I have Leafs of Valka, I dont have much non-bg creature to change backround nonstop. This mission is a fix mision?

personally I enjoy the use 10 items lol, def in the minority here but I'm dedicating a creature to collecting all the bean sack items since they're not quest items anyway. I just buy the cheapest items and it's actually kinda fun watching the collection grow

@nut yep. Others have expressed liking the items daily too. TIP: invest in higher rarity toy shop items. They have a lesser chance of breaking and fulfill the daily more easily.

@nut I think the 'use items' daily is my favorite because I had well over 100 frozen/adult creatures that needed travels but I kept procrastinating. This gives me that push to actually travel-ify my creatures! 😊 So many of my babies have gotten travels sine this started!
