VERSION 3 POSTPONED - We are very sorry to inform you all that we have delayed the release of version 3 until further notice. The new servers had too much difficulty handling the load and so version 3 requires further testing.

V2 isn't better actually, the code is extremely old, old code means adding new things is harder.
V3 is all new code, which means new features and cool things can be added way easier and faster.

V3 is still coming, once the reason for the unexpected lag is found and fixed Egg Cave will transition to v3.

Well, I don't like changes. Of course the site needs an update, and we'll have to fit to the new layout. Hope it gets improvements, though.

The idea here was to have the framework of the new site up-and-running so we can tack on new stuff instead adding to an outdated codebase.

We're going to try and get these issues resolved, so we can be on our way. In the meantime, we're preparing for April's release. Stay tuned.

As far as the V3 vs. V2 talk goes... I think a lot of people confuse functions with visual style. It's like comparing grapes and pears. 😋

@lykhaos117 Yes, there will be advance notice for the transition to v3 once we fix what was causing the lag.
