@sonny Considering the air and water deer are more visually striking I imagine they will be in the cash shop park, which is disappointing. :/ Cool deer though, maybe I'll get them next December.

Sorry, don't like them. IMHO. They look so low-pixeled quality, no way. All of 2k21 artists was making us happy with really beautiful creatures, so... what's happened? If them will be for CC it's just... ah, nuff said.

Such a drastic art style change. I don't like them, sorry. Most of 2021 creatures had a really high quality, almost as good as creatures from 2014 and above. But if the other monthlies follow these... ☹️

Not gonna lie I'm not super crazy about any of these. The artstyle is visually and quality wise just not on par with the rest of eggcave to me. I might get the tree deer, but if it's CSP I won't be wasting my money.

Is it just me or does the fire deer looks like a deer burning alive and dying, i'm not so sure about that design

Don't mind the style, but the fire one looks weirdly flat. The air one looks nice (and I can tell it'll be a CC one... but fingers crossed for cave).

I've gotta say, I'm not a big fan of any of these... The style is so jarringly different from the rest of eggcave's creatures, and it's especially noticeable on the fire deer and the very pixelated storm deer egg.

I like the creativity of the designs, but I hope they will someday return to the older art style (2009-2012) 😊

Took a second look on phone, and the pixelation on the air egg is worse than I thought. The shading on the water one also looks strange. The fire egg and last stage earth one's images cut off, and the hatched earth one has a stray line (though it's kinda hard to see).

Honestly I'm really not a fan of the art style or the quality of the art. I probably won't be spending my time collecting these critters. They have the potential to be really good but like others have said, it's too pixellated and flat

I really wanted to like them :/ The fire looks flat. The earth last two stages I like. The air is overall underwhelming with the low picture quality. The water is ok. It looks a lil wonky. The drawing just embodies “cheap” to me. I don’t like the new egg shapes, they look fake.

Happy to see Ian reading the comments 😊 I appreciate the desire to do complex designs but considering how small the canvas is, something simpler would be better I think. Maybe a similar style to draqua/flar with thicker lines?

absolutely love the theme, I love deer, always happy to see more! I do agree these don’t fit in with other creature art. you can tell the artist is very talented, it just doesn’t seem to translate so well on a tiny canvas? however I’m sure they can fix these up! great concepts!

I agree the artist is very talented. Creatures on the site should look similar to each other imo. Otherwise it's different styles that don't look like they live in the same world. I hope the artist will peruse older creatures like 2011 CRWs. I agree though, great concepts.

:/ The idea sounds nice but Im sorry aim not a huge fan of this art style. The fire deer looks like its.. literally suffering on fire.. and the water elemental has literally no water.. its a bubble but why? No bubbles either just seaweed? Kind of confusing..

The only good one is the wind deer which I honestly think is really cute. It has different stages and positions and actually looks like its evolving. But these missed the mark for me.. :/

I have to say that I agree with everyone here. The artist is clearly talented, but it just doesn’t fit with the rest of the creature designs. Like, look at the Regel. It’s both delicate and detailed, yet not pixelated.

I personally have no issue with the art style (I actually like seeing different artsyle, even if I prefer some over others), tho I have to agree that the last fire deer looks like you're seeing it from above and it's dead. I still want it the most tho 😋

For the water deer, having a bubble egg despite no water on the deer itself, it'll not be the first time that I don't understand an egg :v

i do agree that it would be better for the art styles of creatures to be similar but the styles have changed and/or improved throughout the years. i quite like these designs and the art style is very nice. hoping to get the wind or water deer
