(-fast forwards after family says good bye-)

Sylvia was picking at her food and staring at the boy tribute sitting accross from her. Not bad she thought. "Hey, if you have a head we're gonna stay together for the first part of the games to pick off the weaklings then split and take on the bigger gorrillas."

"Mentors?" Peaches echoed "I think they're Mary and Sam. At least, I think they were the most recent winners from District Four," Noticing his hardened, determined expression, she added "I think I'll decapitate while I'm at it... and maybe even do some funerals... Do you think they'll let in two winners this year?" she asked. It would be a pain if she had to kill him, and likewise, she supposed. And besides, it'll give her some reassurance that there would be at least one person backing her up.

Spirit nodded, "No idea, I'd hate to have to kill you though." He gave a small smile while walking to the Justice building. "I'm Spirit by the way."

Up the elevator, she smiled. It would be nice to ally with him for the time being, though "Maybe we could trick the Capitol? You know, remember the 74th Hunger Games? It's just too bad that it failed..." she sighed. Peaches had studied the 74th Hunger Games, and it had to be the most depressing she had ever seen. She had remembered that the girl had killed herself, and let the boy win.

"I wonder what they'll have in store for us... I've been prepared for jungle, desert and Arctic terrain, as well as the terrains of many other countries. I've been studying geography, you see..."

At the top of the elevator, she prepared to be separated from Spirit. "Go ahead, say your goodbyes. I've already done mine, but what's it to another few last tips from my parents?"

Spirit gave her a parting smile, and walked though the large doors. Inside was his sister Kami. "Hey." He muttered, sitting awkwardly in the plush chairs.
"Get your hands on a crossbow. Or a Scythe." She gripped his arm tightly, and starred straight into his eyes. Then before he could say anything else she left the room.
No one else came to see him. So he just twirled a bit of string he had pulled from the couch between two fingers. A crossbow.....

@bunnyshadow

Sure! 😃

Peaches met with her parents, as well as a few of her close friends. Her mother had told her what she had been telling her for these last few years: "Get your hands on some security backpacks, and then go for the weapons," Her father had said: "Find any piece of ribbon, and you already have a good, light weapon, before finding an axe,"

Her friends had different pieces of advice, but they could have been condensed into one statement "Find water, and hide in an area as close to there as possible,"

She was ready.

Veridis and her parents had a tearful farewell, tediously long from the gamemakers perspective, but with a slight money change of hands they were inclined to be more sentimental than usual.

Jamie's only visitor was Cynthia, his 18 year old sister. "I'm sorry," she whispered. "It should have been me. Then maybe neither of us would have been chosen."
Jamie shrugged. "Or you would have, and I stand much more chance in the arena," he pointed out, sighing mentally.
"I guess that's true. Our parents.... Well, I've seen you training. You're good, Jamie. You're better than they give you credit for. Better than Samuel. They just don't pay attention."
Jamie shook his head. "Anyway, training doesn't matter. It just comes down to luck, dumb luck."

@bubble_tree erm...I was offline. Does everyone here have a different time zone?

Jasper was bored. It was the day when people picked some unlucky people to go and survive in the wild. At the reaping, nobody volunteered. That was unusual. Since nobody entered, a person picked a random person. Jasper was chosen. "I'm not going", Jasper muttered. Later, Jasper arrived at the place. There wasn't a choice. They forced him to go.

@anybody what happens when they arrive?

"Look, Traitor, we've always been different. That's going to affect our performance. We need to figure out a way to make it to our advantage."

"But Loyal, my plan is better. Why can't we just make it look like we died in the beginning, then hide for the remainder of the Games? And when it's done, sneak back to our District? That's a perfectly fine plan!"

@lola622f Oh, you were gone for a while. I forgot. Well, everyone wrote out what happened at their Reapings. You should too, and your last goodbyes at the Justice Building. Then I'll change up the setting to the trains.

@cynt5100 okay!

Everybody showed up at the Justice Building. How predictable. Of course, it wasn't to give last goodbyes, but instead last taunts.

I'm thinking pretty much everyone wrote out their reapings and goodbyes. When I get @cynt5100 and @lola622f's beginnings then we'll switch. 😊

@bubble_tree
- I'm guessing the extra ones are the ones we can just kill off right away? 😃

Jason's goodbye was short. He'd made sure to tell Eric to help Father to take care of the family, and said good bye to his family.

@taffy789 Yup! If no else joins when we start in the arena, then we can just write we killed off them. But if someone comes and joins later on, just pretend it never happened. 😃

@everyone So I suppose we should start off in our trains. Now you can write about whatever is happening while your on your way to the Capitol.

When Cloris boarded the train, her brother Michael was the only one in the crowd not cheering. He was smiling, but nothing more. The doors closed and they zoomed off. Cloris' escort, Rufellia Cryll, was an odd woman. Like any other woman in the Capitol, her entire body was surgically remade. her skin had a tint of blue, her lipstick bright pink, her eyelids dyed neon yellow. Her hair was her's, not a wig, but it was a strange green. Rufellia's clothes were the solid color of lavender but the clothing was pointy.

Cloris was escorted down the hall, opposite of her district partner and mentors, Mandala and Laxum. She was stopped in front of a door. it opened without any instruction and she stepped in. Her escort was already walking back down the hall.

Jamie kept his face down and entered the train as quickly as possible. The crowds were thunderous with enthusiasm but if you met their eyes, you could see their doubt. Despite being a Career, Jamie wasn't anything particularly promising to look at. He didn't LOOK like a Career.
As for the girl, Veridis, well. If she could keep a poker face, then they could believe it. Clearly she was usually a confident person with a strong personality, and very beautiful, but she wasn't trained for this.
What one had in oodles, the other lacked in the negatives. And vice-versa.
Jamie paid no attention to the escort but rather glanced around for the mentors, in vain.

As Silvia boarded the train she could see the entire district 8 looking at her. Silvia tried to keep a straight face but couldnt so just before she entered the train, she looked straight at the camera, and laughed as evily and psyho as possible. Let them figure out what THAT means. XD She boarded the train and looked through the window and saw the Panem channel she smiled to herself at how deadly she looked. Hopefully that'll get her some sponsors... She laughed once more to hersf , then waited for the boy tribite fom district 8 to board.

"Look. Let's just wait until we can get a better idea of what this is like." Like many children, the two hadn't really paid attention.
