Emerald walked over to Rin. "What are we going to do?"Emerald asked her friend. Rust's tail dropped as he saw Luna, as if he was already sorry.

Rin shrugged. Then she smiled and sighed. "I guess we both have to try our best!"

Emerald nodded, but then looked at Rust and Luna. Rust was looking pretty sad.

Luna had a blank stare. Her skin kept getting hotter and hotter. She really didn't want to fight Rust.

The to men moved to opposite ends of the arena to prepare for battle. Jaymes yawned and followed, not daunted by the small bird fluttering in the air.
"Ready?" The guy asked. Oliver nodded and waited for the man to make his first move, not threatened.
"GO PETE!" Vines extended from the birds wings and wrapped around Jaymes. Oliver had a flashback to when he was in a similar position many years ago. He shouted and Jaymes reacted. A burst of lightning shot through his body and began traveling through the vines back to the creature.
"Drop!" And the vines released. "Seed!" with that the bird swooped down and dropped seeds from it's mouth. Jaymes dodged but one landed on his back. A flower began sprouting from his back. Oliver began writhing trying to remove it from his back. It seemed as if it were draining the lightning from him, making him weaker. The bird began diving down delivering a sharp peck to Jaymes' ears and neck.

"Our battle is after Oliver's" Emerald said, and went to watcher Oliver's battle.

"Concentrate. Itds, JUik!" Oliver didn't know what he was saying but it certainly seemed to work.
Jaymes whipped around and tore the flower off of his back and began running circles around the arena. Soon enough he was on the walls waiting to strike. The bird didn't know where he was to strike.
"Kiup!" Oliver found himself saying. With that lightning filled the arena. The bird fell to the floor. In a panic, the man ran forward "YOU KILLED HIM!" He shouted.
"I didn't mean to!"Oliver and Jaymes began running toward the bird lying on the floor.
The bird wasn't dead, but stunned he blinked on the floor staring up at the two.
"What a relief..." The guy said "Dang you're good"
"Good?" Oliver smiled and looked down at Jaymes. "I'm a legend."

Rin clapped loudly for Oliver. She cheered and then put on her leather fingerless gloves to get ready to battle. She gave a determined smile to Emerald and headed out with Luna to the arena.

Then, a bell rang, Emerald's and Rin's battle was about to began.

Rin walked out to the field, Luna standing directly in front of her. The leopards huge tails whipped back and forth tauntingly, but deep down inside, she didn't want to hurt Rust.

Oliver looked round, surprised to see anyone in the arena.
"Good job sir, it was a pleasure." With that Oliver ran out to follow his friends, Jaymes at his heels. It was a surprise to see they were fighting each other. He didn't know who to root for. "GO TEAM!" He shouted.

Rust didn't want to hurt Luna either. He stared at her from across the field.

"Began!" the ref shouted.

"Rust, attack!"

Kristi smilied. her hacking had gone to plan. She got ready for the main event.

Luna stared him down with icy eyes. Her tails smacked the ground, sending puffs of dust up and down.
A low growl emerged from her throat.

Rin waited. "You wait, Luna. Don't move." She thought about in the end, she might need to use her secret move.

Rust feebley took a step forward. His last battle had poisined him, but it just took effect.
"Fireclaws!" Emerald shouted.
Rust charged towards Luna, claws barely flaming. Emerald noticed it too late.

Luna grinned.

Rin yelled, "Smash him!"

Luna brought one paw up and smashed him to the ground. She noticed his claws weren't fired-up enough.

Emerald was about to call uncle. Rust was badly hurt. Then, Rust looked at her, detrimined to fight.
"Rust, D-Flame!" Emerald commanded Rust.
Rust let off two, somewhat weak, pillars of flame.

Then, the ground exploded, sending fire raining everywhere. Emerald was blown backwards.
"Rust and Luna could be hurt!" Emerald thought fantically.

Kristi smilied. Her gun powder bombs had worked. Hopefully, this took care of TWO trainers.

Rust was fine. His body was burnt, but it could take a controled amount of heat. Rust was worried about Luna.

Rin dug her fingers in the dirt to stop herself from falling.

Luna was burnt. She didn't want to continue but she had to.

Rin called out, "Quick, attack now!"

Luna charged and jumped directly over Rust. She looked down at him. She didn't want to hurt him so jumped over him and rolled, quickly getting back up.

Rin shouted, "Luna! Whats wrong with you?"

"Rin, I call uncle,now, go, the building is breaking!" Emerald shouted. Rust stared gratefully at Luna. He licked her on the nose. Then, the poison took control, and he promptly fainted.
Emerald ran into the field, she needed to save Rust.

Luna blushed and grabbed Rust by the scruff of his neck. She tried to drag him out of the arena.

Rin watched as people frantically ran out of the arena. She saw a lone girl sitting there. "Kiru." she mumbled. Kiru then smiled and disappeared in a flash. A warning? Am I going to fight her? Rin thought. She ran to help Rust, Emerald, and Luna.

Emerald grabbed Rust and carried him out of the areana. A ref looked angerily at Emerald. "Intill you learn to control your creature, you're not allowed to train OR house here." the ref told Emerald. "But, we will allow you to rest your creature, because it's poisoned pretty bad."

The ref led Emerald to the creature care office.
A nurse took Rust from Emerald. "We'll take great care of him."she promised Emerald. Emerald waited outside for Rust, sinking in the fact that she was homeless.

Rin walked over to Emerald. Luna had to be checked out to make sure she was okay. "So what are you going to do now? I can maybe sneak you in my housing."

Emerald shook her head. "You're get in trouble." Emerald then thought for a moment. "I can't believe that Rust lost control. He could barely heat up, let only blow up a staduim. I think that something was up."

Emerald shivered. "But, what if Rust was capable of losing control? Because,... i had a dream..... and Rust did cause the fire that killed the legendary fire trainer... or that's atleast what the dream implied..."

Lucy went to watch Emerald and Luna's battling after taking care of Tess. She noticed Kristi staring shifty-eyed in contempt at the battlers. Lucy's face turned to one of sheer suspicion....

Dan looked up on the t.v. monitor again. He still wanted to learn more about that golden box Lucy. But for now he was watching the fights. The kid named Oliver had won, and the girls named Emerald and Rin had managed to almost b;low up the place, but something about that was off. 'Kristi!' the name screamed in his head. "The night at the arena... when I caught her there with Nearo...." Nearo who had been sleeping beside the bed looked up. Dan and Nearo's eyes locked.
"Kristi, you're one tough chick."

Tess was tired of not being allowed to do anything. She pulledout her I.V. and changed into her battle outfit. She stumbled down to the arena and got ready, she was against R again. Only her friends knew she was hurt. The ref said their names and they started.
"DEMOND TAIL!" R yelled
"DODGE!" I yelled back to fang. Then R pulled out a gun. And shot, I was hit in the stomach the worst place to get hit. I started to fall to the ground eyes closing. Everyone thought I was dead. Then my eyes opened turning white, my hair stuck up glowing white. I rushed at him, and sent him flying back out of the arena.

Lucy looked over to Jayde. "I think so..... I know there was definitely some foul play.... But I don't know who would do such a thing...." but secretly Lucy had her suspicions...."And I know Emerald blames Rust for losing control...." she added to Jayde.

Dan looked away from the t.v. Screen. He was shocked to find Tess gone! "Awww d@mn..... Someone in big trouble... I'm sure all that fire-dart poison hasn't worn off yet, even with Lucy's incredibly old and rare medicine...."
