Rin shrugs and looks at the door. The doctor must've left to put the blood samples in the garbage. Rin cursed loudly and ran outside, trying to get help.

Tess's body shuttered. She was shot. She needed to go to the hospital. Her eyes wereopen slightly, she saw R with a gun getting ready to shoot Rin and Jayde. Getting into action she jumped up and blew a hard kick to Rs face then a harder kick down farther in a place he would feel for a while.

Tess did a spinning jump kick knocking him over, grunting in pain she landed on her feet. "Its time I finish you." she said. Tess kicked his face once more knocking some teeth out and blacking himm out. She pushed him into a bush and fell again.

Security came. A cop named Donovan sat in a chair in the ER, waiting for her to wake up to ask her questions.

Lucy had gone to her room. Her next battle was tomorrow and she wanted herself and Seika to rest up. Since Lutten was nowhere to be found, Lucyhad sworn she would protect Seika at all costs. But first she had to get him special Fire Flakes that Lutten had kept to feed Seik. When she looked out onto the porch Lucy was horrified. There was blood everywhere, and Jayde, Tess, and Rin, a doctor, plus a boy she'd never met were standing in pools of blood. Lucy rushed out immediately. She stared with her mouth open at all of them, but she was too shocked and at a loss for words.

Tess woke up and saw the cop. "Who was that guy in the bush?" he asked.
"They guy who shot me." she said looking around for Rin. "Wheres my sister!" she yelped!
"Okay. Were you the one who knocked him out after he shot you?"
Tess nodded. "WHERES MY SISTER YOU JERK!" she said feeling weird because of the medicine.
"JAYDE! LUCY!" She yelled!

Lucy rushed over immediately, Seika following close behind. "Oh my gosh, Tess" Lucy exclaimed in shock. "What happened?" she repeated over and over again aloud.

"Whoah, whoah!" Lucy said slowly. "Easy on that language kiddo... Now come one, I'll take you to the Battle Arena's *cough* metal factory*cough*hospital. Jayde or someone else can tell the cops the sry. Umm excuse me sir, police officer, I REALLY need to take her to the hospital ok?" The officer nodded his consent and added, "By the way, just call me sir. Ummm, we don't know the word police officer in Kohten but I can guess what it means." Lucy saw the doctor rushing Tess to a hospital room. Funny, she was right across from Dan. Huh, that'll be fun! she thought. Lucy then rushed to Lutten's room.... Seika perched on top of a gold box. "That must be it isn't it?" Lucy whispered to Seika. It was Lutten's golden box. Seika and Lucy both knew Lutten wasn't coming back. "Thank you, Lutten, you were a great teacher and... I'm sorry..." She said softly, and rushed the box back to Tess and Dan...

Oliver was rushing to the arena, Jaymes tucked under his arm. He was really late, but this time it wasn't his fault. When he emerged from the bathroom this morning there was a woman waiting in his room. The very same snob form the night before.
"Why are you here?" She had asked in greeting.
"Honestly, I'm not sure.."
"Don't think I don't know what you're doing/ Your revenge will be wasted. I defeated you before. I'll defeat you again. You. Don't. Threaten Me." She spat each syllable.
"Obviously there's something since you're here..."
"Don't push me. I'm here warning you to back off."
"I was never on to back off of..."
The girl was irate, sparks practically flying from your head. She turned on her heel and slammed the door behind her.
At that moment, Oliver remembered. He had battled the woman many times before, and it was there last encounter that haunted his dreams. Jaymes knocked unconscious in battle, the hell hound panting over him, his thick paws inhibiting the fox's breathing. Oliver dashed toward the two trying to save Jaymes when something made him trip. It was a whip slowly tying around him until he himself could not breathe. The woman standing over him smiling as the rope cut off his air. Struggling was useless as it wrapped around his entire body. He was dead. That woman had killed him. And now he's back for revenge. That's why he was here. That's why they were all here.

Lucy rushed back with the box to Tess. The doctors where all wispering to each other rapidly, "Shot with fire dart gun." "Baly hurt?" "Yes?" "Who's that girl with the glden box?" "I don't know, I believe on of the girl's friends." Lucy continue forward. She knelt on the floor beside Tess...

Dan watched on bewildered as Lucy opened the golden box. One mintue he'd been asleep, when Doctors had rushed in the girl Tess. A few minutes later Lucy had rushed in with a golden fire hawk. He watched in amazement as she drew a small glass from the box. "Anti fire dart antidote.." he breathed in awe that'd been gone for years! ANd there was still more good stuff in the box..

Rin looked at her feet. She had to leave the room. What the heck? I thought Tess was some sweet little girl. Now I'm afraid of her. thats all she could think about.

"Son of a -" was all he could say as he rushed off for battle.
"Sorry sir, your battle started 2 minutes ago. You were a no show so you for-fitted."
"Isn't there something we could do?"
The ref looked around, it appeared he really wanted to help. "Look, I'm not supposed to do this, but someone got sick so there is one opening. We turned one guy away, but if you find him and defeat him. I'll give you a chance. You still have to prove yourself before the third battle takes place."
"Thank. Really. Thank you so !" He ran off trying to find the guy. Entering the empty arena there was one man sitting alone on the bleachers. A bird sitting on his shoulder, nudging him with his beak as if to console him. This was going to be easier than he thought.
"Hey," he called running toward the guy. "Did you compete today?" Oliver was hunched over out of breath from running, but he tried to keep eye contact.
The guy looked up startled, the bird ruffling his feathers. "No... not this year. Nor the last one or the year before that. Thanks for rubbing it in."
"I didn't mean any offense, I didn't either." He sat down beside him. "I was too late."
"It's just we trained so hard this year. I just wanted to try."
"Maybe we could fight each other?" Oliver asked the man. "I talked to a ref. He said there's room for one more, someone got sick or something. Wanna give it a go?"
The guy looked up to see if Oliver was serious. His smile seemed sincere enough so the man accepted. "Let's do this."

Emerald looked at the next person she had to fight. She sighed. What was next? A giant, fuzzy, man-eating hamster?
Rust whined when he looked at the picture. Emerald looked up, a gasped. Her next fight...was...was.. Rin and Luna!!!

Rin saw the picture and looked at Emerald and Rust. Luna felt her skin under her fur get hot as she looked at Rust.
Rin looked at Oliver. "He's battling soon." she whispered under her breath.
