Lucy and Seika stood in the Battle Arena Pre-Fight Room. The Pre-Fight Room was where the trainers who had entered waited for their turn to battle. Lucy overheard some trainers talking-
"Did ya hear about that kid who fainted?"
"You mean Dan, the dragon kid?"
"Oh, yeah him. Some say he must have been hallucinationg . He was walin down the hallways and then just-BAM! A guide finds him sprawled on the ground, eyes closed. Muttering stuff about some noise, or person as he said he heard....Won't be entering today..."
'What?' Lucy thought startled. 'Dan? Not entering? Hallucinating? What could he have heard that frightened him so much?' and at that, the boards for the matchups starting to make the rounds....

Rin caught up with Lucy. "Hey!" She smiled. She looked over at the kids talking. "Whos Dan?" she murmured.

Lucy turned around at the sound of RIn's voice. She leaned over and whispered, "The first trianer I met here. He's a drgaon trainer, his dragon's name is Nearo. He uses a wierd code in battle that only he and Nearo know..."

Rin thought for a moment. "Huh, thats a weird strategy." She looked at Luna. "To be honest, Luna and I haven't even had a battle yet. We'll probably lose." she frowned. Then she waved to Jayde and smiled again.

"Hallo, What are we discussing??" Jayde hopped off Faythe and looked fondly back. Faythe nickered and swiftly changed into water again and then changed back to normal. Jayde nodded like they were exchanging comments and suddenly a dark shadow passed over her face. In a second the shadow was gone and Jayde was her normal pleasant self and strode over to Rin and Lucy.

Tess waited in the Pre-fight room she saw a TV that said who they would be fighting, she was fighting a man names Russio and his unicorn fluffy, she snickered "They think its because im seven!" she thought.

Lucy walked swiftly and silently. SHe looked very elegant and grand in her traditional golden cloak, emerald gloves, and emerald dragon pin. What she didn't know, was that she was indeed wearing the traditional outfit worn by Aikyou of the legends,
Aikyou the Dragon Trainer.

Rin grinned. "Yeah, I'm Rin! Nice to meet you." She looked up at the TV. "Hmm, I'm first fighting a girl named Lina. Her creature.... an elk?" Should be easy. She thought to herself.

Emerald looked at who she was fighting. A guy and his giant...Charamelon? Well, it sounded harder to beat than an unicorn.
Emerald bumped Rin on the shoulder. "I guess we're the "odd ones out," huh?" Emerald laughed jesturying to there clothes.

@pwuffy - remember, you're fighting Emerald, after a few rounds. Like, round four or five?>: )

Dan was alone in his hospital room. He looked up at the t.v. that was boradcasting live the Tournament. It was currently showing the matchups. "So, Lucy is fighting Gingi. Hope she doesn't get electrocuted by her Za-Cat Twix!" he muttered...

Lucy looked up the matchup screen with Seika perched on her gloved hand. 'So I am fighting a kid named Gingi?' she thought. "And her creature named Twix? I wonder what kind of creature it is....'

Rin stretches and sits on one of the chairs. Luna jumps on her lap. Rin moans. "UGHH get off!" she laughs.

Rin looks at Emerald. "My first starts... right after yours, actually!" she smiles.

A bell rang to start to battle. Emerald sighed. " Wish me luck." she told Rin, and started to walk towards to where the battle was being held.

Tess stared, her first battle was at the same time a Emerralds, in a different ring. Tess changed her clothes she would only use the black at her last midnight battle. She wore a clear scarf that made her almost transparent. She covered her face with the scarf and the bell rung. She ran into the arena seeing Emerald in the other. "GOOD LUCK!" she shouted.

Emerald nodded to Rin and Tess. Then, she turned and faced a guy from across the areana.

"This battle has begun!" the ref shouted. "Emerald, a newcomer, and her fire-cat, Rust, against Leo, and his giant Chameleon, Isia! Began!"

A giant green lizard, about the size of a small car, faced Rust, in his leporard form.
"Isia, gone!!!" Leo commanded his Chameleon. In a instant, the Chameleon vanished, leaving Rust startled.
"Careful, Rust." Emerald warned Rust.
"Attack, Isia!!!" Leo commanded.
Then, an ivsiable force struck Rust, sending him flying.
"How are we supposed to attack something we can't see?" Emerald wondered.
