"Nevermind." Kaylie quickly jumped backwards and scampered behind her rock again.

"Teleporting feral. Close enough."
Annabell pulled otu her knife once again, and paused for a moment, realizing that it needed to be sharpened. And cleaned.
They was a good chance that if she cut someone with this, and didn't kill them, they would get some kind of blodd diease.
As she thought that, the feral teleported right behind her, grasping her shoulders roughly.
She then tried to elbow it in the ribs, but it disappeared, reappearing in front of her, and suckerpunched her in the stomach, sending her sprawling onto the ground.
"Owwww." she complained, face first in the dirt once again.

Zach flinched, then jumped forward a few feet, barely avoiding landing in a sinkhole.
In a second after he landed, he drew one of hsi swords, and pointed it straight at Raven in warning.
"Don't touch me." he said pointedly, his poker face prefect.

"Heh. Someone's got a soft spot. Sorry to burst your bubble..." Raven snickered. She paused, then slid out two strong daggers. Slipping on underneath his sword, she started forcing it upwards.



"Are you alright?" Blaine called as he froze the air around Annabell into an ice dome, so that the finishing blow the Feral had aimed at her with a knife just glanced off. The Feral snarled and turned on him.
Blaine used icicles to deflect the attacks from every direction, but was too busy defending that he couldn't get any attacks in.
What do you think? He asked Zan, forgetting the disturbing earlier occurence.
Blaine. This one's a DUDE, Zan stuck out his tongue in disgust.
Huh- really? HEY that wasn't what I was asking... Blaine sighed mentally.

Zach said nothing, but drew his other sword as well. He could fight with both hands, and the other sword was prefect as a thing shield. Then again, knowing next moves always helped, too.
He let Raven make the other sword fly into the air, then swiped at her stomach with the one in his left hand.

(OCC: I'm playing Fable. And it's creepy. And I'm alone. .-. )

Raven felt it coming and ducked just in time.
While she could barely manipulate the shadows any more, she'd developed her sense of them, so she could FEEL them moving, or find particular shapes quickly.
So, she could basically react with the speed of light, plus a little processing time.
Quick as anything, Raven whipped out another knife and it shot just a little left of his heart. Testing, testing.

Zach scooted a bit to the right, avoiding the knife completely.
"What if that would've gotten me, Shadow?" Zach teased.
"What would have you done then?"
He lundged forward, as if it run his sword through Raven.

Raven parried with her free dagger, and scowled when she saw her arm was shaking slightly under the pressure. Perhaps not completely healed...? "You wouldn't have died," she rolled her eyes. "But what was that?"

"What was what?" Zach asked, smirking, and aimed a swing at the dagger in Raven's hand.
He then took a few steps backs, preparing another thrust...
A shock was sent down his spine.
Too late.
His right leg was now ankle-deep in thick mud.
He grimanced, and started to try to work his way out of the bog.

"Blaine. Perhaps you should attempt to kill it now." Kaylie openly suggested. They weren't getting anywhere.
She herself would want to be the last to try.



Jade decided to go back to her room.
She had just stood up when she saw Damon pass her.
"Hi Damon." Jade greeted, holding the diary behind her back.
Damon swiftly turned around, shot some sort of sharp glare at her, and sped up his pace away from Jade.
"Somebody's cranky." Jade commented. "Or do I just look that bad? Nah, I never look bad."
And started to follow him silently.

"Nahhh, I'm having far too much fun," Blaine sighed and decided he was NOT going to ask her for help.
C O N C E N T R A T E.
If he missed a single one her her attacks for any direction, he was as good as dead.
He just blocked in time as the Feral suddenly warped in the air above him. Then the guy disappeared again and attacked his left side.

Raven laughed. "Am I actually going to get a good work out here, or should I ditch you for a SIM?"

Annabell was up by that point, and kicked the feral in the side with enough force to put a dent in a metal wall.
The feral staggered backwards, growling.
"You're welcome." Annabell grinned to Blaine.

Zach rolled his eyes, and managed to get his foot free.
He then lunged forward, trying to grab Raven's arm.

"Thank you," Blaine said sincerely, then used the opportunity to freeze the Feral solid.
It was rather amusing to see the Feral teleport himself and the entire ice cube around, but annoying when he tried to squish them, so Blaine shattered the ice and the Feral inside into a billion tiny shards.
He hoped their ride home was the next to show up, because he was honestly afraid the next Feral they'd run into would be Alex's.

Raven let him, then kicked him hard in the stomach, square on. Now, if she'd been wearing highheels...

"Finally." Annabell sighed, and fell against the rock.
"I hope we can go back soon... Oh, and, I think we should all decide something."
She glanced up, mainly addressing Blaine.
"I say we tell the others that Alex got picked off by a Feral when-slash- if we get back. Lie. Her body was to mangled to be worth bring back, she got dragged off, they'll understand."
Annabell paused before continuing.
" I don't want her to be targeted like the other Ferals here. I owe hi-...HER." she corrected. " I owe her at least that."
Annabell then proceeded to smile as if nothing just happened.

Zach barely dodged the kick, feeling the air from it brush right past his head.
Trying to use the kick against her, he jerked her arm forward, trying to judo-throw her into the mud.

"... Fine," Blaine answered moodily, refusing to look at Annabell. Then he glanced up. "Looks like our rides's here..."
He didn't want to leave here though, not right away. He'd been trying to keep Alex safe. He'd owed her that. He'd failed. Now... There was no point to his existence here anymore. He was trapped, and he was going to die, die a meaningless death. Blaine lingered for a moment in the place he'd lost her. Then he accepted hers, and his, deaths, and moved on.

Raven held on tight, dragging him down into the mud with her.

Kaylie was just tutting now behind the rock.
"Sure we can. General Honey Bunches of Blonde." she couldn't agree more. This is how team members support one another right? Well, it was certainly not in her future.

Annabell sighed, and followed Blaine, not paying Kaylie any attention.
"Hey. Whatever you think, it wasn't your fault, got it?" she attempted to prod him in the stomach. "Wasn't. Your. Fault."
'Now if I could only follow my own advice...' Annabell thought sadly.

Zach landed face first. He then proceeded to start to slowly sink into the mud.

Blaine suppressed the impulse to laugh sardonically and said nothing. What did she know about him, anyway? Nothing.
In the blink of an eye, the savannah of A-E was gone, and the grey, metal prison of the Falchions base encased them.
Blaine sighed and headed to their room. They got a twelve hours rest, he knew, before the team was called in for their report.

Raven used Zach as somewhere to stick her foot and so doing climbed out of the mud.

"Finally." Kaylie let out her distress and walked away to the cafeteria. The meals weren't very decent but the snacks are edible enough.

Annabell watched as Blaine walked away, sighing.
She wasn't sure how he felt about this. Or how he'd felt about Alex, exactly.
All she knew is that she'd basically lost a younger sister and brother to their powers, and sure as heck knew there was nothing that could save them.
"You try too hard."
Annabell paused, remembering one of the last things Leon had told her.
'Really, Leon? 'Cause sometimes, I think I'm not trying hard ENOUGH.' she thought to herself, kicking a nearby wall lightly with her foot.
Frowning, the thing she'd found in her room at school basically burning a hole in the pockets of her pants.
Suprisingly, the contents of the clear plastic case were unharmed.
Maybe it could solve all the problems..
Annabell felt tempted to test it out, bit knew it was too risky.
So, instead, she left to go rest in her room.

Jade had given up stalking Damon once he snapped his fingers and pulled brandy out of thin air.
Thinking of what Damon's power was, she headed for the cafeteria.
Kaylie was on her way back from the cafeteria.
Both of them thought whoever was in their way would move themselves aside so eventually Jade and Kaylie collided.
"Ugh. Haven't you got no walking skills?" Jade angrily said to Kaylie.
"Don't talk to me." Kaylie rolled her eyes and stuck her hand in Jade's face.
Jade pushed the hand away and stalked off.
Kaylie's eyes dropped to the floor as she saw that girl had forgotten a black leathered case journey.
"Thank you very much. I'll take that." Kaylie smiled as she snatched it up and walked the other way to her dorm.

Raven shrugged and let the insult slide right over her. "You don't offer to help me out, so I assumed it was because you preferred not to eat mud, so I just took it and spared you the eating mud part. Is that a problem?"
"Anyway," she continued smugly, "I think we can both agree that you're dead. I'm going to go have a nice hot shower, then enjoy ice cream and all the other first division privileges. And after that, I'm going to win at Poker and go shopping on the earnings, get myself some nice, First Division only knives. So, adios, or whatever you say."
She then left.

He liked a challenge. Almost dying gave you a good rush every now and again.
That was why, even when he trained, he fought as if to kill. If ther other person died... Well, they should've blocked.
Zach sighed, and got up to go wash the mud off himself.

After Annabell finally got her shower, and got a barber to even out her hair, which was now shoulder length, she went to go see how Jade and the other team held up.

Raven did exactly what she said she would. She was just sitting in the First Division-exclusive lounge, lying lazily on the couch and counting her money, when she heard someone say her name quietly. Startled, she glanced up to see a girl a few years older, sitting across from her, staring off into the distance.
The girl looked at her. "Your name's Raven, isn't it? Someone's talking about you."
Raven blinked. "Yes...?"
"Would you like to hear what they are saying?"
She hesitated. She had a feeling this was going to be one of the things she was better off not knowing. But she had to know. She was here for a reason. Raven nodded.

When you swing your sword, you swing to kill, when you defend, that sword won't hit you, and when you kill someone, you go directly to jail. You do not pass go. You do not collect 500 dollars.
... Or I could be mixing Bleach 'N Monopoly up again. ^^; Such similar things. ^^;
