Soon, everything was white as paper. Not to mention freezing.

Raven's hand finally pushed away the last of the resistance and she forced herself up, with just her good left hand and her feet. She sighed with relief, as she'd been holding her breath, unable to breathe under the snow. They'd been running fast enough to get hot, even in this temperature, so Raven was basically soaked to the skin and shivering violently. At least she wasn't crushed, luckily.

White blankness, can't breath. Perfect.
Zach wasn't one to fight fate. So he didn't try to struggle out of the snow.
Actually, it got pretty inviting after a few seconds, you know, right before passing out from too little oxygen.

Annabell stomped her invisible foot in frustration, which such force that her muddy blonde hair curls came back and whipped her in the face.
Finally, she gave in.
"FINE THEN! I'll give you my stupid knife for whatever stupid, IDIOTIC reason you want it, as long as you kill this stupid feral right now so we BOTH don't die!!!!" Annabell basically screamed.
Okay, that all wasn't necessary, but Annabell was starting to lose her patientence with Alex.
Anyway, it seemed that Alex's mind was set about "whatever reasons" she wanted Annabell's knife so badly, and it was going to be hard to convince her of anything else.
And it was better that the person who wanted to die die rather than the person who just wanted to survive, get a shower and out of her clothes caked with dried mud already.

Annabell tried to ignore the ash that started to drift down in front of her, and how close that laser had been to hitting her.
She threw her knife towards Alex's feet, turning visible again in the process.
"Here. Take it." Annabell sighed, turning her back to Alex.

Opal Honey Badger tried to bat the snow away (XD). But eventually she collapsed after 8 seconds.
The snow muffled her cursing, and she almost choked on it too so she sulked silently with her mouth closed.
So like a honey badger, she ferociously dug her way up.

Alex picked up the knife slowly and spun it around once in her hand. Nice and sharp. She flipped it around and pointed it directly at her heart, holding it in both hands, poised and ready to end her own life.
"Going Feral is one thing," she whispered, the tear tracks on her cheeks sparkling in the dim light. "It wouldn't matter how many lives you take, because it's not YOU. But this, this is ME." So saying, she plunged the knife into her chest.
















Almost.
It hovered there, just touching, but the skin was unbroken beneath her camo uniform.
Then the knife fell from her hands.
The girl smiled sadly. "Sorry, but I'm not ready to die yet," she murmured under her breath.
Then, without warning, she attacked, a powerful laser shot right at Annabell.

A powerful laser DID shoot through Annabell.
Well, the right side of her hair at least.
"EEEEKKK!!!!! What the heck Alex?!?!?"
Annabell's first instint was simple. Turn invisible, grab her knife.
Well, she did ONE of those things.
With the other one not an option, she did the second thing that popped into her head.
She ran.
Which would've been an excellent means to escape, unless you realize that the grass was kinda tall, and you could see where it was pushed down, and it was sunset, her shadow casting long on the ground.

She smiled again, that same unhappy smile, then turned and walked away. She didn't know where she'd go. Somewhere where users wouldn't disburb her and she didn't have to kill anymore. Well. That was Alex, but the point remains.
Unlike her.

Well, Annabell didn't have the slightest clue in heck of what just happened. Maybe you had to be completely insane to understand. Oh well.
Instead, she waited for Alex to leave, then went back to retrieve her knife.
As she walked, visible, searching for the rest of the team, she wondered why Leon ever liked Alex if she was COMPLETELY INSANE. As she was doing that, she finished evening out her new hair the best she could with a muddy knife, and decided she'll really fix it if she got back to the base in one piece. Either way, at least she wouldn't have to worry about hair ties anymore.

(Short hair. o-o )

After a mintues of walking, she finally caught sight with the other half of her team, and called out to them.

"I almost drowned in mud, got the worst haircut ever, and, yeah, Alex went pyscho and tried to kill me. Then left for who knows where." she complained, saying the "Alex tried to kill me" part a bit to fast.
"Can anyone say horrible day?"

Annabell blinked at Blaine's reaction.
Well, he appearently still cared about what happened to her, or at least enough for him to react.
If she'd been sure of that, she would've have broken the news a bit more sincerely. Then again, that had never really helped at all before.
'Why must I always be the one delivering the bad news one way or another? Note to self: Never say anything or try to help anyone again. Or find out information that has any drama related to it. Wait, I was trained to be a spy! Isn't finding information my job?!? Wait, shouldn't I be more worried about everything that just happened? I must be so tired I don't care...'
Annabell trailed off in thought while having this internal conflict.

Annabell nodded, not wondering how he'd basically read her thoughts and really too tired to argue, and plopped onto the ground, inching towards a comfy looking rock she could lay her head on.
"I don't know how I'm just supposed to falling asleep calmly after all the the times.... I almost got.... killed...... today......" she yawned, and snuggled up to the rock a bit more, falling into surprisingly deep and comfortable sleep, despite her pillow being an incredibly hard surface.

Blaine was forced to open his eyes, as he'd promised to keep watch, so instead stared up at the heavens. The stars weren't out yet, it was just late evening so he could see the moon and a still a little tinge of red on the eastern horizon. A pair of birds flitted from one tree to the next. It was very still.
He wondered if it was his fault she'd lost it, because he'd betrayed her. If it had been someone else, she would not have been effected.
If it had been someone else, she might have died.

The falling snow hit his face very softly, almost like light rain. But frozen. And cold.
He could hear familiar laughter, but it sounded far off, and unreachable.
Suddenly, a mess of dark brown hair appeared over him, and two hands reached down to help him up.
He raised his own hands up to meet them, and a wave of cold air hit his face....

Zach gasped as his hands subconciously broke the light surface of snow that had been between him and the fresh air.
Apearently, the snow had pushed him close to the surface, and right side up. It made him wonder if luck was also part of his power.
Zach finished pulling himself out of the snow, shivering, but not so much from the cold.
The vision he'd saw... Was it a dream? Or a memory? Or maybe he was close to death, and imagining things? More than likely his head hadn't been getting enough oxygen, and was making him see things. Yeah, that had to be it.
...Or that was at least what he could tell himself.

"Good idea." Zach replied, not even really paying attention as he brushed the snow from his shoulders.
"Why does it seem like every single thing in this place is dangerous? The environment, the people, of course, and the flora and fauna! I swear, next time I see a tree eat someone, or a bunny morph into a tiger, grab one of my teamates, and run off, I'm going to lose it." he grumbled loudly.
"Don't even get me started on those demon ferals. Glad my power knows who's boss."
Actually, he never even had "heard" his power before, but he'd heard stories. In his own opinion, he thought it just might be an excuse for people to go crazy and escape.

Raven shot him a glare. That cut. Her power... Was rebellious. She'd mastered it now, but... Well, it was so weak that there wasn't really any point.
"I don't know if you've noticed, but there doesn't appear to be any flora or fauna in the immediate area," she scoffed. "So unless you spot a rabbit, you can save losing it for later, and concentrate on getting your ass back to base."

He motioned his hands around him.

"..." Raven didn't answer, walking forward.
"Hey, Telly! Long time no see," she hugged a clump of snow, which immediately shook off it's frosting cover to reveal a girl. "Raven?" The girl blinked, but didn't move, her face retained it's distant expression. Raven released her.
"Mm. Heard you were dead." Telly said eventually.
"Can't believe everything you hear," Raven rolled her eyes. It seemed like you COULD believe what they said about First Division. Everyone who got promoted... Changed.
"... I'm leaving in thirty seconds," the girl glowered.
Raven turned to the team. "You heard the girl."
