Nodding, actually believing the story, she sighed a bit "Alright..." her voice was low and uncertain, she felt more scared than she ha ever been, due to her faded memory, and the pain in the back of her head was not helping any. "What about the house? was there anyone else there when it caught on fire?" @swimforlife
Deleted • 8 June 2012 at 1:09 PM
@inkstep'House? Fire? I think your head is toying with your thoughts. There's no houses out here, just trees, moss and us.' Charlie replied, knitting his brow. 'What, exactly, do you remember about this morning, Pixle?' Charlie slowly wallked to Pixle's side. Realizing touching her would increase her uncertainty, he refrained. Rays of the sun lazily bounced of the foliage. Keeping his voice as calm as possible, Chalire attempted to coax Pixle's memories out of her subcontious mind. 'KRUFF!' he said, throwing his voice. The sound appeared to have come from behind the rock.
inkstep • 8 June 2012 at 1:12 PM
"nh..." she shuddered a bit at the noise, pressing against the tree in fear and staring at where she thought the noise had come from "I stepped out onto the porch and my father started yelling at me about...some medical issues I have....and then I woke up in a room and everything was on fire and my head hurt...I...everything goes foggy after that up until now..." she muttered, still staring wide eyed at the rock@swimforlife

@inkstepCharlie deduced, via the girl's reaction, that 'KRUFF' was unfamiliar. All the events from Febuary until now were a distorted blur for her. 'I'm so sorry,' he said, words laced with lsympathy, 'What is your father's name?' Charlie asked, rather abruptly. 'I heard something about a Reve guy dying this morning. There was something about stab wounds from the sharp end of a paintbrush...' he voice trailed off. Pixle's father had, indeed, died in Febuary. Charlie was unsure of the the date, but it might have well been the 20th.
inkstep • 8 June 2012 at 1:20 PM
"it couldn't have been him..I don't think...he never told me his name but his last name was Veroque, but if he died then good, it's not like he was a good person..." she rested her head on her knees, trying to remember *something*@swimforlife
Deleted • 8 June 2012 at 1:25 PM
@inkstep'Oh,' Charlie breathed, now clumsily backpeadling to find his lost words. 'Could have been anyone really. Maybe I misheard the name, tends to happen to me alot.' Pixle's scarlet eye narrowed in deep thought. 'My mom is a phycologist,' he quickly lied, 'She does this thing with patient who struggle to remember things. I'll say a series of words and you say exactly what comes to mind. No holding back, though. You wanna see if it works? She always uses it on my dad when he loses his keys. Nine out of ten times in works.'
inkstep • 8 June 2012 at 1:26 PM
"Well sure....I guess it's worth a shot" she muttered, letting her eyes slide closed as she raked her memory for anything at all(blah short!)@swimforlife
Deleted • 8 June 2012 at 1:36 PM
@inkstep'Here goes nothing,' Charlie added, before randomly babbling nonsense to Pixle. 'Phelk. Selkma. Hekki. Brendon. Klaxion. Xavier. Tucan. Sir-Barks-Oddly. Pickle. Lime-Head. Hover Craft. Three red stars. Home Stuck. Flarp.' Charlie finished reciting the words and grinned a Pixle.Mine's short too. Riding my bike to the library back in ten minutes.
inkstep • 8 June 2012 at 4:51 PM
@swimforlife hahaha wow, sorry I randomly poofed too! I'm a horrid person"Are those even words?" she muttered, taking a few seconds to find the response for each one "the only ones I even know were Xavier, the name of an old friend of mine, homestuck, a comic I've been reading for the past three years, flarp, my horrible hobby, hovercraft, which is what it is and Pickle, probably the worst food on the face of the planet, but I don't see how this is going to help!" she frowned, crossing her arms and looking up at him
Deleted • 9 June 2012 at 7:41 PM
@inkstepSounds of the dense jungle nearly prevented Charlie from hearing Pixle's responce. Judging by the disappointed look on her alabaster face, he shrugged. 'Well, it was worth a shot. I guess this is the one out of nine times that it doesn't work.' Pixle crossed her arms and hugged them tightly to her chest. Charlie could play his cards diffrently and reveal his powers. That could be convincing, couldn;t it? He figured it would just spook her.
inkstep • 9 June 2012 at 9:03 PM
Poking a leaf, she sent a small spark through it, completely forgetting he was there, her eyes were half shut and full of hate, sadness and fear. Yawning, she layed down on her side and sighed, muttering nonsense to herself, barely audible.@swimforlife 😃
Deleted • 9 June 2012 at 9:06 PM
@inkstep Hiya, Buddeh 😊Eyeing the dancing spark, Charlie smirked. He found a whole new angle he could play from. Contorting his lips into a dumbfounded smile, he glanced at the girl. 'Pixle...' he stammered, 'What was that... How did you...'Lame post sorry! I'm sleepy. I misses you; no work tomorrow. I flooded a pool today. How are you (twitching muscles stop yet), more importantly?
inkstep • 9 June 2012 at 9:09 PM
@swimforlife im awesome!brb dinner, how have you been? and my twitch has stopped (finally)"hmm!?" she sat up quickly, lowering her head "un...what was waht..." she quivered a bit, scooting away from the boy
Deleted • 9 June 2012 at 9:20 PM
@inkstepDang! I hate this time zone thing! I gotta go soon. Glad the twitching stopped though. I flooded a pool =o'I don't think sparks fling from one's finger tips is nothing,' Charlie commented. Looking deeply into Pixle's polished ruby eyes, Charlie's lips curled into a smile. A hawk-like bird screed overhead and swooped into the clearing. Luckily, it resembled stature of an Earth hawk. Bouncing twice, it launched its self into to the ashen sky. Goosebumps splattered over Charlie's exposed arms as the crisp breeze picked up. 'The weather...' Charlie began, 'Is uncharaterisically warm for Feburary,' he stated rather plainly.
inkstep • 9 June 2012 at 9:29 PM
@swimforlife haha back, and how do you flood a pool!? haha, will you be on 2morrow?She looked around and nodded a bit "you're right" she muttered, ignoring his other comment, the sky was already beginning to darken, casting long forbodding shadows over the forest, a chill ran up her spine and caused her to sneeze "So what's the plan, Bombay?" she asked, her eyes darting to the side, trying not to catch his gaze
Deleted • 9 June 2012 at 9:40 PM
@inkstep Forgot to take the hose out...glad I had the morning shift~ I fixed it and noboy knew!Charlie began to wonder what had warranted the shift in Pixle's gaze. She constantly flicked her eyes away, perhaps it was her loss of memory. 'Well, I know a bit about outdoor survival... but nothing matches up. I mean shadows are cast on BOTH sides of the trees. The horizon... I can't tell where it ends or begins. Plus, there's no moss. That's what we came out here for anyways.' Extending a hand, Charlie calmly walked to her side. 'I'll help you up, the trauma to your head may have impaired your balance. I know quite alot about head wounds' he addded, rubbing the base of his skull for emphasis.
inkstep • 9 June 2012 at 9:45 PM
@swimforlife hahaha"Strange really...maybe it's just the time of day? I think you're the one with the head problems here..." she grinned a bit, though it faded quickly. Nodding a thankyou, she took his hand and pulled herself up, using too much strength from her enhanced prosthetic, she ended up pulling herself into his chest. Taking a second to process what happened, she backed up quickly, her eyes darting from him to the ground, back and forth as a light blush covered her cheeks "s-sorry I don't know what..I mean I didn't mean to..." pulling up her sleve, she froze up for a bit, not used to the remodeled prosthetic. letting out a small sound, similer to a 'nyip!' she stared at the silvery surface, her shoulders quivering slightly.

@inkstepPixle's warm hands felt foregin in his own. Just hours ago, he and Pixle had something special, real and breathing. With the lack of Pixle's recollection, Charlie's spirit was dampened. However, that did not change his love for the girl. Nothing in this world, or Klaxion, could break the spell she put him under. Her enchanting ruby eyes, her flawless alabaster skin, her wit, her smile, her prostetic arm; Charlie though her perfect, no matter her flaws. Stumbling, Pixle tumbled in his chest. For a moment, he though she had remembered. Pixle drew away and appologized. Charlie's seemingly endless grin faded. Lips pulled taught, he just nodded. 'Its alright. Your blance will return in no time.' A rather abrupt squeal caused him to glance up. 'Are you okay?' he questioned, watching the girl survey her arm.
inkstep • 10 June 2012 at 2:18 PM
Panting harshly from the scare, she ran her good hand over the unfamiliar metal "what...this..how did this..." at a complete loss for words, she glanced up at Charlie, taking a few steps back "You did this didn't you...." she muttered "How did you know!?" she snipped, glaring harshly at him, though behind the cold look, her eyes were as full up of fear as her voice.@swimforlife
Deleted • 10 June 2012 at 2:23 PM
@inkstepPixle's unexpected reaction caught Charlie off guard. His once calm and collect expression had turned to confusion. How was he supposed to explain aliens dammaged her original prostetic? 'What are you talking about?' he asked, voice rasing an ocatave. His usual timbre was uncharateristically high pitched. 'Voice crack,' he muttered under his breath. Tension crawled up his back, now that the veil of fog over Pixle's thoughts had lifted somewhat.
inkstep • 10 June 2012 at 2:25 PM
Shaking her head a bit, she took another step back, holding out her good hand "I swear if you don't make sense now Im going to so do something you'll never forget, Bombay!" she threatened, her voice sounding a bit more hostile but still more like that of a frightened child.@swimforlife
Deleted • 10 June 2012 at 2:37 PM
@inkstep'Sense?!? You want me to make sense?' Charlie seethed, his intent was not to lash out at Pixle. 'Pixle, the truth is, everything I told you was true. Not the moss or the feild trip, though. You and I are NOT on Earth, but a planet called Klaxion. Its June, not Feburary. We were kidnapped and forced into a Hunger Games-esque battle. We killed the leader of this planet. We are about to go to war. We are part of a prophercy. We are friends. We are more than that. We are Charlie and Pixle. We are hope. We are the future.' Exhaling sharply, Charlie concentrated hard. A swirling orb of water rose from his feet. 'Proof enough? Or how about this?' Casting the water upwards, a fine mist created a shimmering image of the two of them, running from the Phase 1 dragon.
inkstep • 10 June 2012 at 2:47 PM
Lowering her head, she bit her lip to keep it from trembling. "Then why EXACTLY don't I remember anything? I just forgot two months of my life, why...you keep saying something about head trauma but what exactly happened!?" she leaned against a tree and crossed her arms, keeping her eyes locked on him "and how the heck am I supposed to remember everything I forgot?"@swimforlife
Deleted • 10 June 2012 at 2:50 PM
@inkstep Do you think that was okay? For Charlie to show Pix that, or did you want to have her confused longer?'I can't say what, exactly, happened I just don;t know the answer. Answer me one thing, do you know any Kassys?' Charlie interrogated.LAAAAMMMEEE
inkstep • 10 June 2012 at 3:02 PM
@swimforlife haha it's completely fine, oh and I got to go in 30 min or so, I'll be gone for like, 1 1/2 Hrs"I...I don't think so...besides the kassy in my class but other than that, no I don't" she muttered "What does it matter antway?"
Deleted • 10 June 2012 at 3:08 PM
@inkstep Awww. Have fun with what ever you're doing!'Aha!' Charlie exlcaimed as he paced back and forth. 'The fire; it was real. You and I were stumbling through the jungle, when this girl named Kassy appeared. She claimed to be your cousin and led us to your 'family' home. It was furnished with old fashion gears and stuff. It looked like somthing out of one of your fantasies. 'R's were monogramed on everything, so I assumed it belonged to the Reves. It was just too good to be true. Kassy showed us around then led me to this large room. She kissed me. I nearly collapsed when you saw us. I don't love her. I love YOU.' Charlie's eyes welled with sincerity. 'Anyways, you left in a huff and I ran outside. A bit later I smelled smoke and turned back. The house was a blazing inferno. I ducked inside and pulled you out. That's about where we began...'
inkstep • 10 June 2012 at 3:13 PM
@swimforlife it's just a meeting >.< not fun really"hm.." she sighed, shaking her head a bit more "well if that's really all that happened...." sighing, she sat at the base of the tree "this is hopeless..." she muttered "how the heck am I supposed to remember everything then!? I'm not exactly comfortable with losing two months of my life.."
Deleted • 10 June 2012 at 3:23 PM
@inkstep I hope you have fun anyways...'Two months is alot to lose. If I lost this time, I would have lost the best part of my life...' Charlie gazed, sympathetically into her eyes. 'You know alot more about modern technology than me, do you think its something machines can fix? After all, technology fixed your heart, lungs and arm.' Mindlessly, Charlie padded in a circle. 'Do know anything about three red stars? Or mice named Trouble?' he asked, hoping it might jog her memory.
inkstep • 10 June 2012 at 5:34 PM
@swimforlife backa 😃"No...nothing, the laast thing I can remember is walking out the door with a pain in my chest and my dad yelling me about not going to be the one to pay for the fix...and the only thing I can think of would b a shock, not necessarily an electric shock, but something that was special to them...something that actually would MEAN something..." she sighed "but the only thing I could rmember meaning anything would be my dog, but he died in the accident..." she muttered, sighing again "this is hopeless..."

@inkstep Hiya! I'll be back after work 😊Downy and light blonde, the hair on Charlie's arm prickled. Gently, he smoothed his hand over the contours of his tricep. The sensation of ice water pumping through his veins, sent Charlie reeling. The suddeness of the occurance overcame the homeostaisis of his body. With a thunk, Charlie fell to his knees and proceded to roll onto his stomach. Gradually, the blonde boy situated himself and stood up. 'You had a dog? I didn't know that. Please accept my condolences, for how ever the poor canine met his demise.' Concluding a breathy sigh, Charlie once more slumped to the ground. All had seemed fair until Kassy came and yanked the carpet of serenity out from underneath Charlie's feet.
