@chowchow2012 Been watching as many events as I can so far 😊 I'm especially interested in the rowing, swimming and diving (and sync. diving). Also enjoying the equestrian events since Zara Philips is competing.

I watched the opening ceremony and it wasn't that much "Olympic" themed... They had like Harry potter stuff and Mr. Bean there...

@chowchow2012 The flag bit was mainly the Olympic bit. All of the stuff featured in the actual ceremony (before the flags) are part of British culture: the Harry Potter series were written by a British author; Mr. Bean was played by a British actor; Dizzie Rascal is from East London; etc. So it was really a display of British-ness rather than actual Olympics. Which has its pro's and cons, I guess.
