COLOURS:
Who thinks they know the colour of water?
It's neither you nor I.
It is not a brilliant blue.
Nor is the midday sky.

Who has seen sparkles on water?
Both I and you,
When the sun glints off the waves
The result is far from blue.

Who has seen the wind?
Whistling through the sky
When the trees are rustling
We know it's saying hi.

Who has seen the breeze?
Neither you nor I.
I promise you, someday soon.
The breeze will be blowing by.

Who knows all the colours?
No one on the earth.
So stop for a moment and look,
To see each thing's individual worth.

DAWN:
I live in the morning
I live in the night
I hold on to memories
I keep them alight
I hold onto treasures
Their glow is so bright
I hold onto love
I sway in its might
I hold onto dawn
I relish its light.

And there's one more, but it doesn't fit yet.

spirithawk c: It might ba a bit violent xD

Life And Death, Night and Day

Shadows dancing like lost souls
Their time has come to take it's toll
Black as silver as white light
White as pale as gray moonlight

Evil smiles at it's face
Tails dancing amidst blood red lace
Fangs biting at your mind
Soldiers dying, so to find

The midnight sky shines as one
Claws atone eating sun
Horns scraping through the wall
Blood shining at it's call

Evil menace always bites
Rotted thieves have no rights
Graveyards filled with ghastly ghouls
Houses home to stony skulls

Nightmare Stallion's flaming mane
Hellish wolf writhes in pain
Cellar of one deathly home
Bloodied men, there they roam

Missing arms, legs and feet
Loosing portions of their meat
There they lay by reaper's scythe
Monsters stealing drops of life

Down below the ground in Hell
Tortured souls eternally fell
Heartless beasts move as one
Biting at one endless sun

Knives protrude from spindly fists
Names written on demon's lists
Monstrous snakes of a helpless plea
Nonsense wanting to be set free

Glowing pentagrams of endless hates
Glaring devils sealing fates
Frozen orbs of crackling night
Opposed by darkness of bright light

Sunlight streams through the clouds of sky
All those lies dissipate before away
Horrors scream at this beauty
And so that is what becomes of those that see

Love spins from the flaming realm
Fear cries of overwhelm
Death dies
Life lives

The sphere of night and day continues on.

@spirithawk

heres my second one

Haikus of love

Darkness fills my heart,
Darkness that clouds my heart,
It lifts with your smile

Every day it hurts,
Hate from everyone around,
All I want is peace

Why would you say that,
How could you ever love me,
Why would you love me

What is this feeling,
Deep in my heart this feeling,
What's this new feeling

The feeling of love,
Is that what you call this pain,
Pain from love is true

Love can make you fall,
When you fall from love it hurts,
Love can be a curse

@bunnyshadow

yours was very good but the only bad thing about it is i am a Wiccan and your use of the the word pentagram is slightly offening to me. i understand your reasoning behind it but contrary to the fact of what people think it is actually a upside-down pentagram that satanist use. wiccans use the pentagram with one point up not two

@spirithawk
(this is somewhat embarrasing..)

Stars:
As the soft winds blow
Beyond the northern reaches
Careless petals flow
Down the river's breaches

Everyday brings forth light
Filtering in the sky
Gilded stallions take flight
Heading upwards high

Incessant sparks of fear
Joviality mourns
Kaleidoscopical shadows
Littered with thorns

Mindless stumbling
Nearing woods
Openly fumbling
Pastel hoods

Quivering tall
Red velvets dropped
Scintillatingly fall
Travelling unstopped

Undertones of sadness
Violent quarrels
Without madness
Xylographic morals

Youthfulness now brims
Zodiac dims

@spirithawk

Her eyes torn between sorrow
And her heart tangled with thorns
Her once called love
Now shatters
Like the cracked sliver mirror
Grasped between her hands
Reflecting her life sorrow and death

I'm not a genius at poems kinda suck at themπŸ˜‹ but this one came from my heart. πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ

@spirithawk

I would like to have a rare,
An egg with less hair
Although I like hares,
Their not that rare.

I'd like a bessy,
Even though their messy.
But one thing is real,
I would want a seal.

Hope it will take me to 1st or 2nd or 3rd place!!

@Spirithawk
My final one, the the current crown jewel of all my poems:
Keeper of the Shadows:
I love the man in the shadows,
He hides through the day.
I love the man, made of shadows.
Without him, I shall waste away.

I love the man, in the light.
He hides throughout the dark of night.
I love the man, made of light.
Without him I?ll never be alright.

I love the man, in the stars.
He hides beneath the clouds.
I love the man, made of stars.
But our love is not allowed.

I love the man, who is the earth.
He's the light, stars, and shadows.
I love the man, who made the earth.
To him, I will always follow.

@Opal_dreams
That comment almost made me cry. ❀️ I thought my poems were kind of weak. Just for you, here's some more (not for the competition unless @Spirithawk likes them better):
Falling:
There is only one sensation.
Falling.
No justice is allowed, as I fall through the air.
Calling.
No person comes for me, I don?t think they care.
Sprawling.
Racing towards the earth, with no way to stop.
Bawling.
Tears sting my eyes, as I continue the drop.
Crawling.
Flailing, trying to get balance while racing.
Stalling.
Seeing the ground that is chasing.

She stands, Alone.
She tries to be what she believes in, Alone.
She?d give anything, that she owns.
To never again be Alone.
Why are their hearts made of stone?
Why are we letting her stand, Alone?
To answer these questions, I?d give all I own.
But instead, all I?ve done is leave you.
Alone.

A smile shared.
A smile shared,
Two people cared,
To hold each other close.
A word spoken,
A promise broken,
A sneer clearly shows.
Some words whispered,
In an ear,
Make it tough to hear.
But a gentle save,
That we all crave.
Makes me hold you dear.
A soft touch,
Is just enough,
To make them smile again.
A gentle kiss,
Gives the wish.
To hold each other.. Then,
A smile shared,
They always cared.
They are lovers, again.

@Opal_dreams
Here you go:
(This one is one of my favourites)
DREAM LAND:
A flawless base,
A sunny place,
Beneath the bright blue sky,
This is where,
Dreams are made...
And nightmares go to die.

A game of tag:
The wind in the willows
Racing through the trees
The misty voice bellows
'Try and catch me!'
The mid-summer creek,
Twinkling in the sun
When it goes to speak
It says, 'That sounds fun.'
The flowers in the meadow,
Glowing bright ahead.
Red orange and yellow,
Scream out 'We're far ahead!'
The wind in the willows,
Has to chase all of these.
If you think you heard them speak,
Put your imagination at ease.
The wind is soft and whistling,
The creek loud and gurgling,
The flowers swishing softly.
But none of them are speaking.
All is silent in the woods.
Where dawn is just breaking.

I hope you like them! 😊

Cool I will put a poem on here. 😊

Here it is:

~Now~

Now there are cars and trucks driving past us,
nothing will compel them to just bike or walk.
Now we have so much technology,
nothing might force the kids to drop it.
Now there are so many buildings,
nothing can burn them down to grow trees.
Now it is very warm and hot,
nothing will cool it down quickly.
We can't do much about it,
if it was then, and no one had innovation,
then now would be living then instead of now.
So which is better,
Now or Then?

(Hope you like 😊)

@Spirithawk I don't know what to write... But I'll give it a try. 😸

I know; I made a concrete poem for Extra Credit in English class when I was in 6th grade (so like, 5 months ago), I'll post that!

The ground trembles
As night creatures awake;
Owls, bats, and even snakes.
And on her own, in this dark night,
A lone wolf's fur shimmers in the moonlight.
With a mask of white and a robe of gray,
She hunts at night for the coming of day.
Sniffing out the faintest scents
Of fallen trees and camping tents
A mice that scurries on the ground
Can leave behind a stronger sound.
There is no fear in the wolf's eyes
But underneath her thick disquise
Her world is empty.
The sharpened claws on her dark paws
Bring a haze on her past days.
For there is no depriving,
There is only surviving,
And when the world is left scowling,
The wolf will be howling.
It's getting late as the wolf sneaks home
To rest and wait for the day she'll roam.
The stars are fading as the moon subsides,
And the night creatures sleep
While the night time hides.

@spirithawk

I'd like to enter. πŸ˜‹ Here's one. It's not really a happy poem but it's a poem. D:

~

Die Inside

Everyone's just pretending,
all of it's just a lie,
everyone seems so perfect,
while I just die inside

They have it altogether,
all their perfect lives,
one by one the smiles just come,
while I just die inside

Dreaming's only half of it,
the other's just the pain,
the hurt, the sorrow, everything,
while I just die inside

What can one do to forget the past,
all the pretending, the lies, the pain,
what can I do to forget everything,
put on a fake life, smile, and mask,
while I just die inside...

~

@spirithawk

~Revival~

Topics are made, then they die,
There are so many reasons why,
But what do you do when they're dead?
You must revive them so joy may spread!

It is crucial to topic survival,
What you need is topic revival!
Revival of topics is needed a lot,
The death of topics is certainly not.

Um, that was short. But yay for epic revival of an epic topic!

Edit: Just so you know, this isn't an entry, I just wanted to revive this. xP

@spirithawk just to share, because you like poems 😊

Here's an "I am" poem I wrote for my AP Psychology class. We wrote in the perspective of a person with depression in order to sympathize with what they might be going through, so forgive me if it's a tad dark ^^; Enjoy ~

I am.

I am lonely in a crowed room.
I wonder how long; how long will this life drag on?
I hear the reverberation of my beating heart.
I see the disappointed looks, the faces full of scorn.
I am secluded from society.
I pretend, desperately, that everything is going to be okay.
I feel that every lie I spit is a stake to my chest.
I touch the blood-stained sink.
I worry, what do they think of me?
I cry out to everyone, someone; but who will listen?
I am lost in this judgmental, degrading world.
I understand that I need help. Yet...
I say, "I am fine."
I dream of times much simpler than this.
I try to be better.
I hope, someday, I will be. But, for now...
I am suffering.

-Kimi.
