Experamental Potential

Year 2012, months of February and March.
A series of reports of missing children strikes the whole word. Many people, mostly around the ages 13-14 are going missing, without a trace. Families are shocked and demand explanations. The children are taken during a similar period- around the time they first hit their teenage phase. Every child has been said to have suffered from strange pains during this time.

Every doctor consultation would show nothing but healthy results. The children all have the same problems - headaches and fevers, which would cause some to faint at random times. The pains would go on, despite any treatment or medicine. They would complain from heart trouble and sometimes - even heartaches. It would eventually advance so much that it comes to coughing blood or lung failure... There was no reported explanation for this phenomenon.

Exactly two months or so after the beginning of these occurences, the child would disappear suddenly, without leaving any clues whatsoever.

Police is on the search, but have hit a dead end. Disappearances continue occuring... It seems as if there is nothing anybody could do.

The truth is yet to come out to the world. The disappearances are linked together and so are the children themselves. Each and every one of them possesses a power, invested in them from birth. As newborns, these children were 'infected' with a highly experimental virus, causing them to develop mutations and special abilities.

They were given back to their respectful families and left to be raised in a usual habitat. However, their growth and health stability is monitored as is every other aspect of their life. Once the experiments reach the proper age, during which they receive the pains, then they are taken in by the scientists who infected them.

All children are taken by force, ripped from their usual life and separated from their family. Their new home lies in the U.K. An old, seemingly abandoned British prison is used as a laboratory for the scientists, who take the experiments there to monitor their development.

The children are not yet valuable to them, nor are they of any use. A long while after the children are taken in, their abilities will presumably surface. Until then, the scientists are studying all experiments and waiting patiently for the blooming of their powers.

Every child is placed into a separate cell, much alike a prison. The conditions, however, are much worse. A usual routine for every experiment is three meals a day, a brief few minutes in the daylight, depending on the behaviour and daily inspection of their development.

Ability: He will aquire the power to change his skin to the color and qualities of any item he touches - be it metal, glass or human skin.
Appearance: Eytan is fairly tall, standing at a height of 6'1 with a firm and strong built, but lacking any muscles. His pale skin is a result of four years under lock and key in the prison but his usual skin color is darker, more tanned. His hair hangs to his ears, light brown in color, framing his sharp features and tourmaline eyes. In short, nothing that would catch one's eye. Usual clothing consists of a black T-shirt, dark blue jeans, ripped at the bottom. He walks bare-foot.
Personality: Personality completely matches his appearance - Eytan is not the one to stick his nose in other people's business and likes it be the other way around too. He dislikes another's presence and would usually stray from any other being. His quiet and detached demeanor, however, does not mean he is shy. Quite the other way around, he is strong and cruel.
History: Before being taken, Eytan lived in a cozy home in Florida. In the prison, he withstood all physical tests and proved to be one of the successful experiments. He did not comprehend what he was, or that he had special powers, but now that he knows, he awaits them excitedly.

Name: Fang Diable
Gender: Male

Ability: Fang has the ability to phase through solid objects, or unsolidify himself so he is merely a shimmering form.
Appearance: He has black hair that hangs just below his ears. If seen at certain angles or in sunlight, the tips of his hair are a deep blood red color. Fang has bangs that cover his left eye, and a small portion of his right. His eyes are dark red, and he has 2 pointed teeth that are much like fangs. Fang is tall and has pale skin.

Personality: Normally calm and quiet, he maintains a low profile. But, when provoked he won't hesitate to strike back violently or even kill. He's weird in a way that makes people fear him.
History: He lived in Transylvania with his "family". His "mother" was fairly nice to him, but he never returned the care and love she gave him. His "father" disliked him. When he was taken away, he came willingly.

Other: Because of his power, it is harder to contain him in the cells that he is kept in, so most of the time there is at least one person on guard at his cell door. Normally, he is seen sleeping in his cell, but when awake he is known to creep out and scare/frighten the guard(s).

Appearance: She is about 5'7" and she has light brown hair with blonde highlights that reaches to about her shoulders. She has blue eyes and she wears glasses, she has freckles on her nose and her cheeks.
Personality: She is very quiet and shy, she lets everyone push her around. She becomes upset easily and no matter how much she tries she can't make herself stand up to anyone. She is very patient with everyone but she doesn't make friends easily. She loves animals, though, and she would rather be surrounded by animals rather then people.
History: Before she was taken away, Christie lived in a small home in North Carolina. Since she was moved to the prison she has wished to be back home.

Ability: She has control over shadows but can also turn into a shadow herself. She is dangerous in such a state as she can shape shift her hands into weapons and most objects go trough her.
Appearance: She has a small child like figure and pale skin. Her messy hair is jet black and is very long but she clumsily ties is up most of the time. Her eyes are a golden yellow color and shine through the strands of hair which hide her face. She wears different dresses which are all dark in color.
Personality:Unwilling to pay any attention to other people. She often doesn?t respond to questions, and speaks about things unrelated to the thing currently happening.Attempting to force her into doing anything she doesn?t wish to wouldn?t be wise since she is very easily scared and can react violently.
History: She can't remember most of her early past. The only thing she knows is that she was taken in by a warm,loving family and was given a brother who always protected her.

Ability: She can create and control fire. Only to extent though, she cant control to mutch at one time or create to mutch at one time, if she does her body will desinigrate.
Appearance: Bleach blonde hair, grey eyes. She always wears a white dress and no shoes, and if she is wearing shoes they are white flats. She has her hair tied in a tight braid, and she has pointed ears coming from the top of her head. When she smiles she has two small, but sharp teeth poking her bottom lip, she has a blonde tail but it is wrapped around her waist so no one will pull it.
Personality: She is funny. But when she wants to be she is really quite arriogant, she is smart and can be mean at times. But when it comes down to it she is really kind and nice.
History: She didnt remeber most of what happened before she came to the prison. She only remebered she had a younger brother. A mother and a father who all loved her very mutch. She lived in a small unknown town in Tenesse out in the forest in a small cottage. When she left her father had threatend to shoot a policeman.

Personality: She is Odd to say the least. She is insane and most of the time acts mentally unstable. She can be almost bipolar at times and has an odd obsession with sharp things.
History: She was an...almost normal kid who lived in South Carolina. Soon after she was taken she started acting as she does now, She often has nightmares of old horror video games and movies she has seen or just of her death. She might be crazy, But she might just be the smartest person you've ever met.

Morning --7 AM

As usual, his mind snapped awake at exactly 7 o'clock sharp. He found himself rolled into a ball - he must have done so in an attempt to preserve his body heat throughout the freezing night. His paper thin sheets did not do any good in such cold weather (it was winter outside after all), so he kicked them off spitefully and sat up.

The bars of the dirty cell door welcomed him cheerfully into reality, as did the small clouded window above his head - the only source of light in the cramped room. He lowered his feet, letting them reach the chilly tiled floor and winced. Today was absolutely freezing, he admitted sadly.

He guessed the usual morning wake up call would be served shortly and, since he had nothing much to do, he remained there, staring at the cell opposite of his. Alike his own cell, that one too was smudged with blood and dirt, with a bed, that barely stood on it's four legs and what seemed like a makeshift bathroom. He frowned in disgust, despite having put up with these kinds of conditions for a long while...

'Clang!' Came the waited sound, as the guard's long billet connected with the bars of his cell.
"Wake up!" said guard announced, bashing the metallic piece to every cell and jolting the experiments out of their slumber.

"Shut up!" Fang growled at the guard as he banged on his cell. "I was sleeping." he hissed from his position in the darkest corner of the cell.

His eyes narrowed and his red eyes flashed dangerously as he dared the guard to bang on his cell again. He bared his fangs, before sitting up and stretching.

"Stupid f**k3d up guards." he muttered under his breath. Fang waited for the guard to say or do something. There would be a few things the guard could do right now.

1) Ignore him. This was the most likely.

2) Try To Hurt him. This was less likely, but would be nearly impossible. Why? Because Fang could easily use his powers and not get hurt. The guard would just end up very frustrated or angered.

3) Threaten him. This was also very likely.

Fang was bored out his mind, and hoped that the guard would do something amusing.

Christa sat on the hill in her backyard, she watched as the brightly colored leaves fell from the trees. All around her were signs of the upcoming winter and she smiled as she saw a squirrel scouring the ground for nuts. She sighed contently as the sun warmed her skin and then behind her she heard the footsteps of her dog running towards her. Christa smiled and turned to see the black lab running up the hill, tongue lolling out of her mouth. She realized that today was perfect, the sky was beautiful and- CLANG!!" Christa jolted awake and she heard the guard yell, "Get up!" She sighed as she realized that everything had only been a dream. She was still in her prison cell, she was still far away from home. She put on her glasses and she got out of her Ned and shivered from the cold. She looked around her dirty cell and she wished more then ever that she was back home.

Ability: Phsycic, such as levitation. She hasn't quite mastered her powers as she has only lived here for one year.
Appearance: Katia is petite, standing at 4"6, with waist length, straight raven black hair. A fringe goes over her large eyes, all shades of purple. She is normally seen in the corner of her cell, rocking back and forth, bored, and wishing she brought a book.
Personality: Katia is quiet and intelligent, preferring the company of animals to people. She LOVES books, and in this place she scans anywhere for any written words at all, no matter what, she would even read the danger warnings for salvation. From sitting in this room with only short periods of stimulation each day which normally end in a strong telling off and being sent to rock back and forth in the corner. She absolutely hates the food here, and wishes it would just go explode then die in a hole with whoever made it.
History: Katia is an An Barde, a rich family who lives in the Barde Manor, and old style mansion on a hill.
Other: 😊 also, from her usual insanity, Katia is also going stir crazy from her isolation. She still isnt used to the place.

Opaline was already up once the guards came to wake up the experiments. Her small body was placed close to the bars of her cell. She was standing still her eyes floating around the empty space. Although she was brought here a long time ago it took her a few minutes every morning to get use to the ugly cell.

It was still rather dark but that's how she liked it.

One of the guards passed by yelling loudly to make sure all were awake. It seemed as if Opaline didn't even notice him.

"Wake up!" the guards bellowed to the next experiment in row to Fang, deciding to ignore he boy's snappy attitude. Most experiments tended to be this grumpy in the morning, and he didn't blame them.
"F***ed up guards." the red-headed boy had muttered under his breath, a curse directed to the guard. Said guard turned around, glaring bloody death at Fang and took a step backwards to face him again. He was fairly old - about early sixties or late fifties, and clad in a light brown uniform that didn't suit him well at all. His hair was white, as was his beard. His face - wrinkled and reddish, held a warm smile.
"I appreciate you keep quiet, kid. It's procedure, not my wish, alright? You can get your tongue cut off for this." he warned, not actually threatening, more like... advising the experiment. "Better learn to wake up next time." he chuckled.

As the guard proceeded further, banging every experiment's cage and waking them up, after him trailed two scientists - a man and woman, holding a dozen of clipboards with numerous statistics written on them. Both paused in front of every cage, checking on the experiment's visible stability. The duo reached the neighbouring cages of two black-haired girls, one -staring into space and the other - seemingly distraught. The female scientist shuffled with her clipboard, fetching out two pieces of paper. She pointed to one of the girl's cages.

"Experiment #013 - Opaline." she stated, motioning for the man to approach. "She seems dull, she might lack energy today. Check on her." she ordered. The second scientist approached the cage, producing a small medical flashlight and shone it into Opaline's eye from the bars.
"Can you see me? Can you hear me?" he questioned, checking on the girl's reactions. The female scientist was in the middle of the same procedure with Christa.
"Can you see me? Can you hear me?"

Opaline could feel her skin being disintegrated by the bright light. She screamed out from the pain and quickly retreated away from the flashlight. She threw herself onto her knees landing beside the bed. The thin piece of fabric which laid on it was soon wrapped around her body.

Opaline's frightened eyes could be seen partially trough the white fabric and the strands of her black hair.

The man drew away, taken aback from the girl's reaction. The female next to him was also surprised. Both stared at Opaline, exchanging worried looks before proceeding to shuffle around the papers.
"Oh" the female exclaimed, having finally found Opaline's statistics. "Shadow girl. Can't stand light." she stated, taking both flashlights and tucking them in the large pocket of her white lab coat. She smirked. "At least she showed reactions." a chuckle escaped her throat, her vivid blue eyes fixed on Opaline mockingly. The man scribbled something in the statistics. "Seems alright to me, what do you think?" The female nodded, proceeding forward and leaving the man behind to examine Opaline.

Opaline's frightened expression changed into a hateful glare as she focused her eyes on the woman. She would have happily flung her hand trough the bars and cut of the scientists head but she was afraid. It would take only a few minutes of exposure to the flashlight and she would be completely burnt. She would have anywhere to run inside this small cell.

As the woman left Opaline slowly calmed down. The man which was still there was ignored easily.

The fabric was cautiously removed from her head but it still covered the rest of her body.

Appearance: She normal height for age, and always has been. She has dirty blonde hair that comes to her back, but is usually in two braids. Her body is already developing a figure, and she's not skinny, but not fat. Her eyes are a crystal blue and her lashes are to die for.
Personality: She's frighten easily, and very vulnerable. Though she may not look the part, she can take leadership if needed. Katie has never been exactly happy, but sometimes gets to feel what it's like to be happy.
History: Like others she had been injected with virus, but her ability was able to be seen earlier then others. Katie, also has never been exactly healthy in her life. She was born with a hole in heart, and was close to death when she was born. Katie gets very sick easily and has always had the right care, living in a wealthy family. Now, the tables have turned.

The remaining man still stood near Opaline's cage, proceeding in his paper shuffle. He watched the experiment uncover herself from the safety of the bed sheets and come out. He let out a small smile, placing the clipboard on the dusty floor and crouched next to the bars, on the girl's eye level.
"Are you alright?" he questioned, rather quietly, out of fear from being heard by the woman. His voice rung with worry, as he gazed at the raven head.
He himself was odd in his own accord too. Paper pale skin matched pure white locks, that hung messily to his ears. Light blue eyes locked onto Opaline with sympathy.

Personality: Very quiet, and if provoked, she can kill quickly and painfully, but she is caring if shes friends with them.
History: She was first part of an experiment to see if they can create mutants at a young age. She was one of the soul survivors of that experiment.
Other: She hates everyone who forces her to kill, and will try to kill them if they continue. 😊

@seaangel Yeppz. ^^ Oi, one thing. 😊 Err, she has her powers, since she gets them earlier than the others, but she wouldn't have much control over them. And with the diseases she has, they would make her power highly unstable - she wouldn't be able to use it well. Otherwise, accepted! 😃

Opaline finally acknowledged the mans presence. She seemed to be happy to see a smile on his face. Knowing that the women was still close by she carefully approached the man the fabric still still hanging from her shoulders.

Opaline didn't bother to answer the mans question.She just gave a gentle smile.

-"What is it like outside?Is it snowing?" She asked in a low voice. By her calculations it was suppose to be winter. She was curious about the outside world since she didn't see it for many years. Most experiments were brought outside from time to time but she wasn't. The scientist didn't want to worry if the sun would kill her or not outside, it was much easier to keep her indoors.

"Mother?" She said, an reached out to touch her. "Mom, is it really you?" She started to cry, for she had not seen her Mother since her 13th birthday. "Laura..." Her mother said, then screamed. A dagger had been stabbed into her heart, and she fell. "Mom!!!" Laura screamed, and reached out to help her. She was to late. "Mo--ahhhh!!!" She screamed, and she was dragged and bound herself.

Laura woke up to the sounds of screaming. She unsheathes a Kunai, and jumped up into a fighting position. She glared at the outside of her cage, looking at the other "Experiments". She snarled in annoyance. She produced a .32 pistol out of the side of her thigh, and pointed it at the bars of her cage.

She shot at them, and all that happened was a 'clang' and the bullet bounced of the bars. She snarled again, wishing she was back home, and with her family again. She sighed and sat down on the ground.
