Aykay stood up on the branch. It creaked a little beneath her weight, but it held. The one downside of escaping from the facility was that there was no free food... She should have brought some with her, but when she'd sensed freedom, that was the only thing on her mind.

She could hunt, of course, but the idea wasn't terribly appealing at the moment. It wasn't that she was opposed to hunting as the tiger, it was that any of the animals in this forest could be other escaped test subjects. She hadn't been the only one to escape...

Fang slowly scooted along the tree above Aykay's head. He stared down at the tiger with his beady black eyes. The bat cocked his head to the side, then spread his leathery wings. He felt the wind push around him for a few seconds before he landed lightly on Aykay's back.

Aykay felt something land on her. She slowly turned her head. A small bat was perched on her back. It had to be another test subject... or an idiot bat.

She transformed back into her human form and looked down at the bat. It was staring up at her with its beady little eyes. Definately a test subject.

"I don't suppose there are hunters following you." She said blandly.

Aykay sighed. The last thing she needed right now was a hitchhiker. Either it was a younger one looking for someone who knew what they were doing, or it was a freeloader who felt as though they had something to gain.

She grunted, a habit she'd picked up as a tiger, although it was a much less impressive noise coming from her human throat. She didn't have time to babysit batman or batgirl or whoever it was that seemed to think she was giving free rides. She had to focus on getting food, and it was much easier to feed her tiger belly.

"I don't know who you are, but you are making my life very difficult." she said.

Aykay growled. She would have been a lot more patient if she had something to eat. It was very tempting to just reach over and grab the filthy thing off her shoulder and throw it into the bushes below, but what good would that do her?

"Listen, I'm hungry and unless you start talking, I'm going to assume you're just a regular bat."

She transformed back to her tiger self and opened her mouth, showing her sharp teeth to emphasize her point. She was bluffing about eating the thing, of course, but she might just knock it off of her. Its claws made her shoulder itch...

Fang would have rolled his eyes if he could. He flapped his wings so he was hovering above Aykay until she was fully transformed, then he landed on her fluffy white back. He crawled up her spine then sat on her head as she showed her fangs. He bared his fangs in return.

Katia perked up for a second. Hey, where did everyone go? After realising her feet were moving, she quickly decided what must've happened. She had started to think about something, and as her mind wandered, so had her feet. She bit her lip. Oh well.. She decided to just keep walking in this direction. Maybe she would find the way out of this forest place.

Alexin had been trying to apologize for the past few minutes, but (Eytan being Eytan) the other hunter wouldn't have any of it. Apparently his pride had suffered too much of a blow to forget in the short period of the three horus that they had been searching for experimetns. At one point, they'd heard a few gunshots and had gone to investigate, finding nothing but empty fields. Seemed like most of the teens had thoughtfully taken cover already.

"I said I'm sorry. If you would return me my rifle, I will fix things!" Alexin made another fruitless attempt.
Another minute of silence followed before the faint sound of fading footsteps reached them. Eytan wandered ahead, regardless on whether Alexin followed or not.
"Keep quiet." he only bothered hissing, making sure the albino wouldn't ruin up his hunt again.

She was beginning to feel uneasy. Looking all around, Katia felt vulnerable. Maybe.. If she turned into a fox she might have a better chance. Nodding, she breathed in, clenching her fists. As she felt the aura surround her, her eyes shut. Suddenly she was on all fours. Good, now she was an animal. A small one perhaps, but with claws and teeth. She then preceded, her tail flicking behind her.

Eytan rushed into the small clearing in the forest, rifle pointed oout ahead and eyes, squinted in search of a possible prey. Seemed like he had felt the presence around, because he began looking around, ruffling the bushes with the tip of his rifle and glancing upwards at the trees again.

Alexin arrived a few seconds after, pausing to catch his breath.
"Are there any?" he asked, frowning when he received no answer. "You're never giving up, are you?" he muttered under his breath and proceeded in searching as well.

As the small fox padded soundlessly through the forest, she sensed a presence. Turning around, she realised her instincts had indeed been right. There was a glint in her large purple eyes as she watched two older boys arrive where she had been mere moments ago. A tall, dark haired boy crashed in with a gun that could've been bigger than her. He pointed it to and fro as he searched the bushes. Maybe someone should take his gun from him.. He was followed by a much more timid acting boy with extremely light hair. He had obviously had to run after the boy, stopping to breathe. He then started searching as well. Katia cocked her head, her ears perking up. They must be hunters. It was quite funny to watch their frantic search, although also kind of scary, as the search might be for her..

"I heard something..." Alexin jolted up, looking at the direction of a faint, mellow rustle nearby. Shortly after, Eytan was by his side, eyes searching in the same direction that the albino looked at.
"Keep low." he ordered, crouching by one of the bushes.

The source of the noise had been a tiny brown mammal, making his way happily through the forest. It was a rabbit, nonchalantly hopping around. Randomly jolting through a bush, the animal found itself face to face with a fox. Her amethyst colored eyes stood out uncannily... but so did his bright yellow ones.

Katia turned. There had been a rustle. It was.. A rabbit? It had some pretty weird eyes going on.. Well, so were hers. Stupid rabbit had alerted the hunters. Suddenly, an idea struck her. If she was to chase and kill this rabbit, she would surely look like a wild animal and NOT a shapeshifter. After a quick glare at the rabbit, she bared her fangs and went straight for it.

Vicent had been hoping for a bit of a cooperation, seeing as the strange eye color indicated that she was a shifter. The girl however, had apparently not recognised him as one (either that or she was preeeetty hungry) and hauled herself towards him.

Acting on pure instinct, he spun around and rushed out of the bushes.

Good. Silly thing. She dashed after it as wildly as she could muster, avoiding the branches and tree roots inconveniently planted before her. It was a bunny, of course she didn't want to kill the thing, but that was much better than getting caught by some stupid hunters. She bared her fangs, just about able to keep up.

Aykay was about to swat at the bat when she heard noises nearby. Human voices... The bat had distracted her so much that she hadn't even heard them coming...

She looked down and saw movement. A fox running at a rabbit... she licked her lips a little involuntarily, but she knew better. There were hunters nearby...

She remained perfectly still and hoped that the hunters would be to distracted by the two animals below to look up...

Ohgodohgodohgod!!! The fox had gone bonkers, it was going to eat him! He realized that as the snapping jaws clamped a few inches behind him.
He didn't bother looking where he went and didn't have time to watch out for the hunters, so when he straigtly rushed out into the clearing, he seamlessly dashed towards Eytan, passing between his legs and waggled his balance. The dark haired hunter whirled his head around to trace the rabbit with his gaze.

That rabbit! That stupid, stupid rabbit! Katia only nearly sidestepped the dark boy to brush between the two, only making it thanks to her petite stature. She continued after the idiot rabbit, but tilted her head to acknowledge the presence in the trees.

Oh god... His last stand. He'd imagined a heroic death in the arms of his captors if anything, not eaten by his own KIND! then again, weird things like that tended to happen to him.
Still, there was a slight chance that he survived this. A slight one...
Sharply turning to the left, his rabbit feet made a sudden 'U' turn, running towards the hunters once again. He had a vague idea of what he could do to help himself and the crazed fox.

Just as the fox picked up speed, now running directly behind him, Vincent had lmost reached the two hunters. At one point, he passed between Eytan's legs again and stopped right behind him before the hunter had had a chance to turn around.
In one third of a second he morphed into his human form, swiping up the fox that had been barreling towards him and one of the rifles secured on Eytan's turned back.
"Ha!" he exclaimed in victory, pointing the gun directly at the tanned boy and tugged at the trigger.
The sleeping dart embedded itself sharply in Yin's back, making him grunt, not in pain but in anger.
