Tessa whipped around, she felt a presence. How could this girl of have avaded her perfect hearing and instincts? No matter. She brushed it aside and smiled.

The girl was small, but she had a deadly presence about her. This girl was obviously an escapee.

Characteristics: Non-caring about everything, cold and emotionless at all times, yet cannot be labeled cruel at all. He dislikes following orders and despite not showing his dislike, he would always go behind his superiors' back and follow his own schemes, instead of following someone else's plan.
Background (optional): Hence the need for money, fresh-out-of-the-army soldier Eytan frantically looks for a job with well paid shifts. The facility hires him shortly.

Physical appearance: White marble skin, matching soft pearly hair, cut short to reach his ears. Pale blue eyes, framed by white lashes. Overal timid features.
Characteristics: Mostly withdrawn and shy with strangers. Unable to stand his own ground and defend himself. Panics in the face of danger.
Background (optional): Being naturally weak and fragile, Alexin is often labeled useless and therefore, to fix that, he looks hastily for someone to possibly teach him the talent of weaponry and martial arts. Eytan is that person.

Fang yawned, and shifted back into a bat once he was far enough away from the facility so that he could barely see it through the trees. He was actually kind of glad to be in the forest. Bats oftentimes inhabit the darker parts of woods and forests, and if he shifted, he wouldn't look out of place. So shift he did. Once he was fully bat, he flew up towards the trees and hung upside down.

Tessa sniffed. She could smell the sweat of humans and the sound of them tearing throug the leaves, coming closer. She shifted uncomfortably on her two feet. (not shifted like shifted xD)

"Theres people looking for us." She said lowly, a small growl escaping her lips. Her muscles tensed. "Lets move, I am not ever going back there again."

Laura was out of the range of the noise, and she stopped. She didnt want to be almost found again, it was to close for comfort. She glanced around, and sighed a breath of relief. No on in sight.

An uneasy wave washed over Tessa, she let out a dog like whine. All the muscles in her body were tense and her heart started to pound.

"Guys. We have to go. Now." Her smile was completely gone as she paced.

Fang flailed his wings, before shifting them back onto his back. The leaves of the branch of which he hung covered most of his body. He blinked his eyes, which only allowed him to see the outlines of nearby objects. Fang risked letting out a small click. The sound waves bounced off the nearby objects, giving him an dark outline of the trees, leaves, and grassy ground. The image didn't last long, and faded away.

Sighing again, Vincent righted himself, shuffling distractingly in one place and then bobbing his head up and down in agreement. "Seems so. I smell a strange scent in the air - blood and metal..." he mumbled under his breath. He stood up straight. "The hunters."

Meanwhile, somewhere at the near middle of the forest and path, the two beings had halted, the white one panting slightly and the black one - warily looking around.
"There are about four moving targets in the east side." yin announced to yang, pointing at the device in his hand. An array of red spots danced where Tessa, Katia, Vincent and Celestia were gathered. "On the west side, it detects more movement, but it's only one person - it's running on the opposite direction of the group, like it's trying to get away." he stated flatly, pointing to the small red speck on the screen that was Laura.

The black being looked down at the white one. "You take care of the running experiment. It's probably scared and alone, helpless. I'll deal with the group." he announced, giving no room for objections.

The white boy nodded, flustered as before and looked up as the black boy ruffled his hair. "You''ll do well kid." he said, cold tone contrasting to the friendly nature of the statement.

She sprinted through the trees, panting, hoping that her new pack was right behind her. Grey landscape whipped by, the wilderness was gradually turning into autumn. The warmth of summer still lingered.

Jumping over logs, skipping bushes, dodging trees she bounded. Never in her life in the lab was she ever given the freedom to run out in what she felt was her natural home. They trained her on treadmills, yes, but it was nothing compared to this beautiful air, the sun, the trees, the earth beneath her paws.

Nodding curtly to the black boy, Yang turned on his heels, dashing into the forest on waggling legs. Having faintly remembered the mapped area from the radar, the white being wandered a bit until he could find the right path towards the lake, where the lonely experiment would be located. Awkwardly waggling away from low branches and trippy roots. He could barely avoid the muddy ponds around and had nearly tripped a few dozen times. Somehow, he'd managed to drag himself to the lake in one piece and paused behind one thickly grown willow that reached the ground, providing him with a tent of some sort, that had a good vie towards the lake's coast. There wasn't a soul in sight, sepite the eeriness that filled the air. He loaded his rifle with sleeping darts and readied himself to shoot.

Cheerfully following the crew around, Vincent trotted closely to Tessa, leveled with Katia and Celestia. He whistled a merry toon, regardless whether it was the time for such or not. It was a merry toon that he adored, one that he'd overheard from the scientists.

Nearby, yin was too busy making his way through the branches of the willows, jumping from one to another without making any noise. He'd picked up the escapee's trace and now hastily followed them from above, wondering if they'd lead him to more experiments.

Laura opened one eye, catching a hint of noise. She squeezed them shut, hoping it was just a small animal, not another shifter. She didnt need anyone clinging to her, begging for protection. Or even worse, one of their hunters....
