My shoulders slumped. "No objections. See, Featherstar, Fireclaw, Icepaw, Flamepaw, Sunkit, Darkkit, Moonbeam, I have been rejected so, so many times. Fireclaw, take the kits," I rolled over, exposing my belly. "Featherstar, kill me. I can't take this anymore," I said. Tears poured from my eyes. "Fireclaw, take care of them," I shut my eyes and wondered what death would feel like.

Brackenpaw looked around the apprentice's den. Having just woken up, she was still a bit groggy and tired, but she knew that she would eventually fully wake up, and when she did, the first thing she wanted to do was hunt.

Brackenpaw shook out her fur and flexed her claws. She could feel it in her pelt that it was going to be a long day. When she padded out to see the others, she caught sight of a mouse scurrying across her range of vision.

I look down at my camp from the Greatrock and yowl out "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath Greatraock for a clan meeting!" I watch as the clan gather and spot Shadowspot, Darkkit, nad Sunkit just outside the nursery. When the cats gather I yowl out. "It is time to keep the clan alive by naming two new apprentices. Darkkit, Sunkit approach." I mew.

Brackenpaw looks up at Featherstar with interest, the naming of two new apprentices meant that she was just that much closer to becoming a warrior.

I mew "Sunkit you are a kind kit and will be an even kinder apprentice from this moment on you will be known as Sunpaw until your warrior name is earned. I will be your mentor." I mew jumping off hte rock and touching noses with the kit.

Brackenpaw smiles and her tail swishes with joy at the naming of the apprentices. It was only a couple more moons until she herself gained her warrior name and proved herself to her kittypet mother.

Brackenpaw smiled, sitting in the same spot as she thought about possible warrior names she could receive. Brackenheart sounded kinda neat. Brackenfur pretty much described her appearance, but the one she liked most was Brackenclaw. She didn't know why she liked it, just that it had a nice ring to it.

"We will start by patrolling hte territory." I mew to Sunpaw. I lead her out the tunnel and to our terriroty. "There is our boundary with Lionclan." I mew angling my ears towards a small river "No clan ever crosses there but us we like to get our paws wet." I mew to her as we pad on towards the gathering spot. "There is hte mound where we hld our gatherings your first gathering will come soon." I mew. "Over there on the moors is Moonclan territory. hey live close to Starclan. Although they are lrge cowards." I mew "Then the thunderpath." I shudder remembering how Winterpelt died on the path. "Over there is twoleg place where kittypets, rougues, loners, and twolegs live." I look at hte walls and suddenly a large black rogue bursts out of hte bushes near by yowling a battle cry he grabbed Sunpaw and dragged her into hte bushes as she shrieked in shock. I chase after him and notice Sunpaw is unable to move the rogue had her gripped so tightly all se oculd do was wail. I stopped and stared the rogue was a tom and seemed scared. I shake the thought off and continue hte chase.

I woke up and yelped in pain. I swayed back and forth. I suddenly saw his weakness. I bit his neck hard and he released his grip. I fell out and ran, barreling into Featherstar, on the verge of scared tears.

I sprint towards the rogue adn knock him down he lays there breathless his eyes glaring at me. I tur and catch up to Sunpaw. "Are you OK?"I ask my apprentice worriedly. She seemed different.

Brackenpaw shook her head, taking herself out of her own thoughts before running to the river that acted as the border between Stormclan and Lionclan, hoping that the water running over her paws would calm her down from the unsettling dream she had when she was asleep. She had thought about talking to the medicine cat about it, but decided against it, seeing as it could've merely been a bad dream.

As she stepped into the water, Brackenpaw continued to think of her warrior name. Brackenpelt seemed pretty neat, Brackenpool sounded really pretty, and Brackenfall just sounded awesome.

Moonbeam was patrolling the last of the territory near the Tigerclan border when he approached the stream and sap Brackenpaw. "Well what are you doing out of camp alone?" I asked. "You know you shouldn't be out here without your mentor, is everything okay?" I looked over at Firepaw, "Run back to camp now, and be sure to take some fresh-kill to the elders." Once more I look at Brackenpaw, "Anything you'd like to talk about, I might could help. Or at least tell you of somecat who could."

"Well you tow will stay home from the gathering." I mew to Shadowspot and Sunpaw. "Moonbeam, Fireclaw, Brakenpaw, Flamepaw, Icepaw and Flaretail will come with me." I call out to them. Soon we leave. When we arrive at the mound I leap up and wait for the other leaders.
