Moonbeam laughed, "Alright I'll bring you one." Moonbeam walked over to the Fresh-kill pile and picked up two mice, one for each of them, and walked back to the prisoner's cage. "Hey," Moonbeam called in, "Why don't you come out to eat, surely you're tired of being in there. Come out and stretch your legs. But, if you try to run you won't make it. However, I trust you for now."

"My name is Moonbeam, I'm the deputy of Stormclan. So it's my job to assemble patrols and hunting groups and whatnot. Outside of that it is also my job to protect the clan, but that goes for every cat. What about you? What's your name? What's your story?" Moonbeam asked as he bit into his mouse.

Moonbeam smiled, "Well, it's nice to make your acquaintance! You know, I'm sorry to have to keep you here. But until Featherstar returns there isn't anything I can really do. And if they actually find the badger then it could be a while, and that's if they all come back okay. I'm sure you know how dangerous they can be." Moonbeam sighed, "I should have gone with them, to make sure everyone is okay, you know? But then again someone had to stay here and watch you and the camp. I get to protect cats this way too, it's nice. Do you ever miss company or do you really like being out there without anyone or thing?"

@dark_link not yet @ancient_moonbeam this conversation is during the badger fight now would be when Featherstar loses a life.

"It does get pretty lonely all alone. But I learned to live with it." I mew grooming my chest fur. Then I stop and feel like a powerful paw crashed down on my head and I black out. I awaken to see Moonbeam looking at me like Starclan just came out of the sky. "What hapened?" I ask then see Fireclaw, Flaretail, Sunpaw, Flamepaw, Icepaw, and Featherstar come in the reed tunnel. Featherstar looked pretty beat up. She walked over to Moonbeam and whispered something to him before heading to the medcine den.

Featherstar~
After telling Moonbeam about losing my life I pad over to the medcine den and sit down for Starpaw to check me out. Eversince Sweetwish died she was Starpaw I would give her her full medcine cat name soon. I thought.

Brackenpaw continued sitting vigil, her mind racing with thoughts of what she might do as a warrior. She silently hoped that none of the elder warriors would look down on her.

Moonbeam padded over to Scar, "My friend, I think it would be best if you wait in the nursery for now. You have my sincerest apologies, but events have arisen of a serious nature. I ask that you wait here and not cause any trouble. Please." Moonbeam looked at Scar pleadingly and padded away over to Brackenpaw, "You're doing great, but don't speak." Moonbeam laughed a bit, "Remember don't let anything in camp." Moonbeam smiled and went to wait for Featherstar in her den, he needed to know more about this.

"Thank you Starpaw." I mew as she tells me I'm ok. I look up to see dawn approaching. On my way to my den I pad up to Brackenflower. "Get some sleep but you're still on patrol today." I mew to her as I head towards my den.

Brackenflower nodded, grateful to be freed from her vigil. She quickly padded over to the warriors den, finding a free nest before curling up and closing her eyes, drifting off to sleep.

"I guess I'm just a little bit worried is all. It's a bit of a shock to me to just hear that you lost a life. I understand you have eight more, and that's great. But it's also one more less that you have to fight with, to live with, and to raise those apprentices with. I guess I'm just trying to say be careful is all, you're a great leader. If you don't have any other thoughts on it then I guess that is that."
"On another note I talked with the prisoner, his name is Scar. I don't think you should be too hard on him. It all just seems to be a misunderstanding. His reasoning for attacking one of our own does seem a bit, troublesome. But I trust him on this. What are your plans regarding him anyway?"

"Thank you for your concern Moonbeam nad I believe I will try to let him into hte clan. If he wants anyways." I mew to him. "'ll go on and ask him now." I meow as I walk out of my den and over to his den. "Scar I need to talk to you!" I mew as I pad in.
"What is it?" He mews as he pads up to me.
"I wanted to ask you if you would care to join hte clan. It would give you a plce to stay and have other cats around you. If you want to join tell me soon." I mew.
"I accually would like to join Featherstar" He mewed to me.
"Good then. I will tell the clan right away." I pad out of the den and leap onto Clanrock
"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath Clanrock for a clan meeting!" I yowl out nodding to Scar to come out and sit near the rock. "A few moons ago I took a rogue into camp as a prisioner and how we are giving him the chance to become a warrior. Scar step forward." He does so and I continue "Scar you came to us as a rogue and now I must ask you if you are ready to become a warrior?"
"Yes Feahterstar." He mewed in response.
"Good then from this moment on you shall be known as Scarheart. Let Starclan honour your courage and brave heart." I jump down and rest my nose on his shoulder and hiss "Lick my shoulder now"
He licks it and the clan yowls out "Scarheart! Scarheart!" All except Darkpaw and Flaretail.

Moonbeam smiled from just outside of the leader's den. "It will be nice to have a new cat in the clan. I'd like to see how well he could fight," Moonbeam thoughts began to trail as he saw the clan react to Scarheart's warrior ceremony. Darkpaw and Flaretail seemed less than excited, but that would clear up. Moonbeam had heard tale of others who didn't like when non-clan cats were accepted. "I don't like that, but Scarheart has plenty of time to prove himself." He thought to himself.

"Well Scarheart today you will be training with me and Sunpaw until thnight then you shall sit vigil." I mew to him as Sunpaw runs over to me. "Let's go train" I mew as I lead out hte reed tunnel into a small moss patch by the river.

Brackenflower awoke from her nap, stretching and shaking her pelt free of whatever may have gotten stuck in her fur before heading out into the main area of the camp.

Moonbeam padded up to the kill pile. "Brackenflower, good morning! Would you like to go hunting with firepaw and myself? She's coming along really well, and its always good to get an extra opinion on her progress. What do you think?" Moonbeam asked excitedly.

"Yes Darkpaw but we need to see if you ca become my apprentice first that will make it all easier." I hiss back to him more darkly than before. "Then when Tigerclan attack we-" I stop midsetence as I hear Icepaw approaching me.
"Flaretail!" She called "When are we going to train?"
"Soon Icepaw. Soon." I tell her "Meet me in the wood behind here. I will try to get Darkpaw training with us." I turn to him when cepaw runs out of camp "We will take care of her there." I hiss.

"Yay hunting with Barckenflower!" I cheered. "Monbeam when will it be time for my final assessment?" I ask more seriously turning to my mentor.

Once we reach the training hollow I turn to Sunpaw. "Do you know the best way to attack an enemy five times bigger than you?" I ask her.

"Great, we may also do a little bit of patrol as well. That depends on how fast we get done hunting." Moonbeam smiled. Brackenflower seemed eager to go on her first warriors hunt, and maybe even patrol a bit. If only every cat in the clan could share her enthusiasm, then they could get so much more done. "We're going to he's out now if that's okay with you, I mean finish your meal first. But we'll be waiting for you." Moonbeam flustered.
"Oh hey Firepaw. I can't tell you when because then it wouldn't be a surprise now would it?" He teased, then seeing the apprentices seriousness, "Very soon now actually. You've progressed very well, and within a few moons we'll see how that goes." He said.

I sit in hte clearing waiting for Flaretail and Darkpaw. "Where are they?" I mutter as I shelter in the hollow of a tree to escape the cold.

Moonbeam led the party out of the camp. "We don't need to much fresh kill, just enough to hold over the elders. Maybe a little more and we can get rid if the older pieces. Brackenflower, lets see how much you learned as an apprentice." Moonbeam smiled the looked at Flamepaw, "watch, you just might learn something helpful from her technique."

"Ok." I mew happily as Moonbeam leads us out of camp.

Flaretail~
I lead Darkpaw and his mentor Redheart into the forest just behind hte camp. Foxes and badgers made lots of homes here and it would be hard to tell a badger from a cat. I thought to myself. "Redheart you I shall hunt over there while Icepaw and Darkpaw hunt over there." I mew "Once you get there split up and hunt alone." I mew. Then turn to Darkpaw and whisper "Take care of Icepaw for me. I will take Redheart." I folow her into the trees and quickly dissapear up one keeping an eye on her from above. I leap out of the tree and land on her bright ginger shoulders. She tries to claw me away but I pin ehr down and nip at her neck. After that I stand up as her body convulses she lets out a loud shriek and falls still. At hte same time I hear paws thudding in the undergrowth and Feahterstar's scent hits me. Before she arrives I dive into a small pool to whas the blood off.
