@whitescales@jemmie@mistyfire99@chapus2009--Songbird gasped, trying to squirm away. 'Give me one reason not to cut you open where you lay, spy.' The words settled in, and Songbird took a deep breath before answering. "Because I wasn't spying, I was hiding. And if you let me live, I can tell you a few things, like what flowers and berries are poisonous." She said, relaxing in the Nogar's grip. /Just keep your cool, Songbird./ Songbird thought silently.

Unbounded then walked next to Arith, "Hey, don't do that! She was not harming us. And we might need her help." she said.

The man's voice was gruff."Father, I-I-I was-"stammered Ginger."That's it!"Ginger nodded sullenly. Without a word, she turned back. As her father left the room, her eyes went wide. Huge. The speaker had recorded the entire conversation, as it played it the arena, clear as a bell.

@rushingwater @chapus2009 @jemmie @whitescales @emsDuskfall's eyes went large as watermelons when a clear conversation echoed across the arena, "Whoa," she breathed, as a gruff voice cut across the normal speaker-person. "Who is that, they seem awfully cruel?" THen she looked over at Unbounded, Arith, and Songbird. "You guys alright?"

@ems @chapus2009 @jemmie @mistyfire99 Arith narrowed her eyes at Unbounded, "I don't even know if we can trust her. There are cameras everywhere a video feed is obviously going to the person running this place along with speakers and who knows what else giving our weaknesses away." She stalks a few feet away from the newcomer but keeps an eye on her all the way. "I don't trust someone who magically appears after all of our weaknesses are revealed, it's too sketchy for me." Two voices blare over the arena, the female human and.. Her father? Interesting... He almost sounded like.. No too deep of a voice, but the same feeling emanated from it. This new human, he was the type of guy who enjoyed hurting people. He didn't have to, but he did and laughed while he made others squirm in his grasp. It made electricity jump down her spine just thinking about how evil this person felt. "Yeah, we're fine," she called out to Duskfall.A thought tickled her brain for a second; should she pity this female human? Surely they're living in fear.. No. Humans can help themselves, they like to torture and maim creatures. They were all foul in her mind, every one of them...

I was wandering around, collecting some frozen berries when suddenly things heated up. I was looking for a cave to cool off in. Aerlos can't live in hot areas." She plopped down on a log, having the feeling that she was in for a long conversation.

@ems @whitescales @mistyfire99 @chapus2009 --Before Ginger had a chance to turn the speakers back to off, her father popped his head in again. "Watch out," he said in a cool, shrill tone. Ginger nodded absently. "Yes, Father." She forced a weak smile."Remember what I'd told you before. Don't be weak. Or else..."He disappeared.By that time, Ginger had forgotten to turn the speakers off. There was a moment of silence before she remembered.

Unbounded just stared at Arith and sighed. She then looked at Songbird and smiled. As she listened to the speakers, she sighed, "Poor human..." she murmured.

@rushingwater @chapus2009 @jemmie @whitescales @emsDuskfall stared at the cave wall as the conversation between father and daughter continued. She sighed, then tucked her head beneath her wing. Since we're friends now, I should be able to get some sleep, she decided. But then she chose to just rest, not actually have some ZZs, just in case, and she didn't want to miss any other tidbits of the speaker stuff.

@ems @jemmie @chapus2009 @mistyfire99 Arith cocked her head to one side and studied the Aerlo. She did look rather sunburned... "I said 'magically appeared' because even before the freeze I saw nothing of you and I would assume further that the lava and flood before that would have damaged you as well, but I see no such marks. What I want to know is when exactly did you get in here and how did you get inside this arena?" She sat back and curled her tail around her feet. "I won't trust you until I know for certain that you don't work for the humans controlling this place."The voices came over the speakers again, this time she glared and snorted. "How dare he!" She hissed under her breath.

@mistyfire99 I am, I think we maybe need more people...@chapus2009 @jemmie @ems Arith started pacing back and forth between the trees noting all of the new flowers and plants that were not there before. Any insects that landed on them didn't move on, it must be some really good pollen to make that many bees stay on one flower, she thought. Everyone was taking it way too easy, some new disaster could pop up any moment... Or that ruthless human from the intercom could decide he was bored of running this place and order them all killed. They had all of the pieces to do so, so why did he insist on having this daughter of his run the arena? The thoughts left tracks in her mind similar to the ones she left in the dirt. Back and forth with no progress either way. She glanced towards the others. How could they be so laid back at a time like this?!

(i apologize if that sounded rude, but, seriously!)~`~`~Duskfall took 10 more minutes before getting up and stretching. Now she had the energy for whatever happens next. She walked toward Arith, who looked really disturbed, since she was pacing.

"I have been here. I just have been hiding, waiting for all the fighting to die down first. It'd have been easier for me to fight without wounds." She thought of the male voice from the intercom. Sounded pretty threatining to her. For the moment though, her mind was occupied by the blazing sun, and her now-pink skin. She crawled into the shadows, trying not to whimper. The last thing she wanted was to look weak.

The look on their faces told her everything. Except for that Nogar. She understood her thoughts, but not the answer.It had been years ago. I was still a child. As Father brushed her silky red hair, he spoke. "Darling, we will start training soon.""But Daddy," I said, "I'm only 7.""Yes, but you'll be turning 8. You must learn to defend yourself. To be careful of sneaky, cunning others.""Yes Daddy," I had replied back.Then she remembered...the night. Where everything changed.I was being babysat by a neighbor, Abigail. She was nice. Mommy and Daddy were out getting groceries. "Where are they Abby?" I asked my babysitter. She never replied. I didn't know what happened until a few days later, when Daddy came home."Hi Daddy, hi daddy!" I shouted excitedly. "Ginger!" He replied hastily, before saying gruffly, "Call me Father. Daddy sounds too soft.""Why is he like that?" I asked sadly."Gingy," Abby said hesitantly. "Your mother died in a car accident."No! Ginger scolded herself. Don't think about Mom! But she couldn't help it. At all.

Unbounded then sighed and curled up. Her face then came in contact with the pollen. She then sneezed and coughed as she tried to take it off her face. She shook around, sneezing and coughing. She the felt her wrappings burn. She found a puddle of water and poured as much on her face. The pollen finally came off as Unbounded gasped as she saw her reflection. Her face seemed burned, as if fire came in contact with her wrappings. Her face was almost completely black and swollen up. Her eyes seemed to shine more though.@mistyfire99 @jemmie @ems @whitescales

"I probably should've warned you sooner; almost all of these plants are poisonous, though I'm not sure about which are and which aren't. The big signs are the beautiful vibrant colors. Those scream poison." She said quietly, and for once was grateful for Travesty's long, boring lectures on plants.

@ems "It's o-okay. I heard you, I just came in contact with it by accident." Unbounded said, feeling a bit embarrassed "Well, talking about colors, the one I saw was more a dark blue..." she said, sneezing again.

@mistyfire99 No, not rude at all. It is frustrating to have a lot of people around but most of them are too busy to post :/ I know one person quit EC but there are still like 3 more people that could post, you're right. I wonder where @Rushingwater & the others went...@chapus2009 @ems @jemmie Arith was snapped out of her thoughts by someones harsh sneezing. The Mummar looked terrible! Burns everywhere and her eyes were watering. She turned to the now pink Aerlo and shook her head, "You're starting to look like a Nogar yourself. Why don't we head back to the cave? It'll be cool in there and then you can tell me what to do about Unbounded's burns. Maybe there's a plant that will help?"She picked up the Aerlo by the middle and walked on her hind claws to the cave. "Dusk, does your amulet have any water left?" She called over her shoulder. "If we can make a puddle in the cave for them to sit in it may help their burns a little."

@mistyfire99 I wouldn't know, it's my first RP but I guess at 10 pages it'd have to be pretty alive. I have to post full paragraphs so I'm slower to post 😋@chapus2009 @ems @jemmie @rushingwaterArith set Songbird down in the middle of the puddle and poured some water over the Aerlo's head. "I'm going to fetch the Mummar. Thanks by the way." She turned away from Duskfall and bounded off towards the violently sneezing creature in the woods. She noticed a lot of the insects that were on the flowers earlier had fallen off at some point during the discussion. They lay on the ground motionless.

@whitescales@mistyfire99@chapus2009@jemmie--Songbird sighed in relief as she sank down in the puddle. Looking over at Duskfall, she quietly answered. "Yes. I can't be sure on a few, but I wouldn't touch or eat anything, especially vibrantly colored plants. As beautiful as they are, some are deadly. And I'm not sure if any are remedies for burns or frankly, anything. I'd say it's best to stay away from the plants for now." Her burns itched and still felt heated, but the cool water seemed to help with the heat. She touched her head, and a few flakes of skin fell away. "Yuck." She muttered. /So typical./ She thought, resisting the urge to roll her eyes.
