As we got to the boder I had not gotten any prey yet, and the chill in the air was getting under my pelt, I shiverd as a cold wind started to blow.

I saw Snowpaw shiver, I was not as cold becasue I had longer fur, so I pressed my pelt to her's and she gave a sort purr of thanks.

She heard Madpaw yell and ignored it. She continued on trapping voles, fish, and such when a gust of wind blew her off her tiny paws. She tumbled in the wind and tried to grab ahold of something. "Thornpaw!" she yelled but it was too late. He turned his head to see her fall off the ridge. She felt a surge of pain on her back, and felt blood trickling down her fur. She shook off the dust and looked up at a 50-foot high cliff. It may not be very tall to a normal cat, but to a tiny apprentice, it was huge. "Thornpaw? Anyone?" She looked around and saw a tree with long extended branches that she could jump off and land over the cliff. But, her back was aching and there was nothing she could do. She waited...

I look back at Snowpaw and Lavenderpaw. "Guys, come over here. There's a slight bit of sunlight compared to over there."
As I spoke I noticed out of the corner of my eyes the shape of Hollowpaw as the apprentice was flung off a ridge. I looked back at Liontooth the deputy not doing anything.
I shook my fur and ran down towards the ridge and scanned the ledge, searching for a way down.
I jumped up and started running towards a small path leading down to the cliff base. I skidded down the side of it and rolled onto the sandy floor. The water was lapping at my paws as I ran over to Hollowpaw.

Liontooth watched the apprentices hunt with an intent gaze, fixated on the technique they used. He was about to call out for Thornpaw to pull his tail lower to the ground, but a shout caused him to whip his head around to the right. Liontooth saw nothing but empty space over a cliff, and his ears pricked up in sharp alertness as he bounded forward to peer over the edge. A creeping suspicion slowly dawned upon him as he carefully made his way forward, the small stones shifting perilously under his weight.
"Hollowpaw!" Liontooth meowed as he swept his gaze across her small body, frowning as he noticed the blood on her cream fur. Madpaw was already making his way down to the she-cat, but Liontooth knew it would be much faster getting the apprentice back to camp if two cats helped. He flicked his eyes toward the path Madpaw had taken, but it was much too small for a warrior of his stature to make it down in time. Prowling along the edge of the ridge, he inspected the slope of the cliff for an area with the flattest terrain and found an adequately flat decline with a slight drop at the bottom.
Liontooth took a few steps back and jumped, his paws skidding across the short, sparse grass. As he neared the bottom however, the fall was larger than he originally expected, so he landed awkwardly on his flanks, rolling to lessen the impact. His ribs ached on one side but Liontooth ignored it, shaking the dust off his lustrous golden pelt and biting back a wince.
“Hollowpaw, what happened?” Liontooth nodded at Madpaw and leaned in to examine the she-cat more closely.

She was passed out, starving, and dehydrated. She could hear everyone's voices, but was too weak to get up.

I looked at Hollowpaw before pushing my head under her shoulder and pulling her up onto her paws. "Liontooth," I meowed. "Can you help get her onto my shoulders. I'm going to carry her to camp."

Liontooth knelt down and nuzzled Hollowpaw slightly, trying to push her around to see where the blood was coming from without disturbing her position too much in case she had any broken bones. "Thornpaw!" Liontooth squinted back up the cliff, looking for the other apprentice. "Go back to camp and bring Gladefall so we can get Hollowpaw checked out!"
Liontooth nodded at Madpaw and pushed Mallowpaw onto the she-cat, watching the pair warily in case either should fall. "Gladefall should be coming soon to help," Liontooth assured the two apprentices gently.

//Aspenthorn
Aspenthorn padded quietly out into the clearing, looking for her two kits. She spotted Skykit sitting by himself near the fresh-kill pile, daydreaming as always, but Wolfkit was nowhere to be found. "Skykit, what are you doing?" She meowed softly to the small tom-kit. He turned and mumbled a quiet greeting, leaning forward to pull a squirrel from the pile and bouncing forward to place it at her paws. "I think Wolfkit when off to play somewhere," the black tom mewed, his dark golden eyes searching the camp.

I nod before carefully climbing up the cliff-face taking hte path I had taken down. It was harder to climb up with a cat on my back, but still I climbed up it slowly and finally got the apprentice up onto the floor by the lake.

Larkpaw padded off, wondering what to do. She sighed and decided to take a walk outside of camp. Larkpaw again sighed, and lay down by a river. Her left ear twitched as birds sang in the distance, soon to be hibernating for winter, and the wind howling through the forest. She lay her head on her paws. Why did she have to be half-blind? She wanted to see the beauty of everything, not only a half picture of everything. Larkpaw felt as if half of her wasn't alive or there, and that she was only supported by the fact that Eagletalon was by her side, always. The fact that one of her eyes were blind disturbed her. Larkpaw was born that way, but why couldn't she be fully able to see? Why not fully blind instead of half-blind? Being half-blind hurt more. Then, Larkpaw knew what she was missing out, the beauty of the world, the wonderful faces of cats, everything. If she was fully blind, she would never see anything, never knowing what anything looked like, she wouldn't care. Larkpaw glanced at the pure water that ran in the river slowly, ice was already spreading, the cold seemed as if it supported the ice, not the water drifting in the river. Life was just like that way, nothing was fair.
Eagletalon watched as Larkpaw padded off with a bored and complicated look on her face. He then nodedd at Darthmartyr.
"Okay," Eagletalon smiled.
Eagletalon then padded off into the forest to hunt, since leaf-bare was here, prey was scarce and cats needed to be fed. He soon stalked along the forest. Eagletalon searched around him, sniffing the air occasionally to see if he could scent any prey in the air. Soon after a few searching, Eagletalon caught scent of distant rabbit.
'Perfect!' Eagletalon said to himself.
Eagletalon slowly padded through the forest, closer and closer to the source of the scent. He then caught sight of the rabbit. It was munching away on a little green plant that sprouted out of the snow. Eagletalon got into the hunter's crouch and took small pawsteps towards it. He then leaped and unsheathed his claws. Eagletalon sunk them into the rabbit's warm fur and took a killing bite to it's neck. He was satisfied with his hunt, and he padded back to camp.

I walked up to Larkpaw. "Are you ready?" I asked smiling, I started to walk out of hte camp but turn and walk back to her. "What's wrong?" I asked sitting down next to her. She seemed down.

Larkpaw was surprised when she heard a sudden voice. She looked beside her to see Darthmartyr beside her, wondering what was wrong.
"Oh, I didn't see you..." Larkpaw sighed, "it's nothing."
She then got up, and looked at the dark brown she-cat. Larkpaw then remembered that Deathmartyr had asked her if she was ready to hunt.
"Oh yes," Larkpaw said, trying to change the subject, "i'm ready."

"Eagletalon tends to let his mind wonder off, so he forgets easily," Larkpaw smiled.
She then looked at Deathmartyr.

I followed Madpaw down to Hollowpaw and gasped when I saw the apprentice. Madpaw got Hollowpaw on her back and was climbing, trying to take Hollowpaw back to camp.Hollowpaw looked heavy, so I got up and fastly padded over to Madpaw,"Hey Madpaw," I meowed, "can I help you carry Hollowpaw?"

I saw Madpaw and Snowpaw go over to help a fallen apprentice, I rushed over and felt a bit better to see it was not Shadowpaw, even thought I knew he said he was going to stay in camp for right now.
Madpaw had gotten Hollowpaw on her back and Snowpaw was asking if she could help. I padded up to Snowpaw and Madpaw, but stayed back, I did not want to help carry Hollowpaw back, I just wanted to go back to camp.

Hollowpaw woke up, seeing Madpaw, Snowpaw, and Thornpaw. "Well you certainly took a nice long nap." Thornpaw mewed. Hollowpaw rolled her eyes in disgust. She saw that Madpaw and Snowpaw each had their jaws locked on her to pull her to camp. She stood up and shook off the dust. Her cheeks flushed with a bright pink in embarrassment. What would she say to her clan mates? She knew she would never become a warrior if she keeps getting swept off her feet by a little gust of wind.

"You need help getting home? We don't want you getting swept away again." teased Thornpaw.

Hollowpaw wished she could talk back to Thornpaw but how could she if he never did anything wrong? She began to pad back to camp, when Thornpaw called out,"You still need to catch fresh-kill!"

"I need to have my leg checked on. It got a nice big cut when I fell against a rock."

"Fine." Thornpaw stalked back to the lake and catching fish and voles and whatever else.

I watch as Hollowpaw walks off like nothing happened. /That cat certainly has endurance.\ I thought tilting my head. /A-lot like me with all these thoughts.\ I added as an afterthought.

I look up to see Hollowpaw entering the camp. I bound over to her checking her fur for anything wrong. I stop as I see a gash on her leg. "Come to the medicine den, I'll help you with that." I meowed.

They padded into the den, filled with the many scents of herbs. She tripped and something accidentally got into her mouth. She swallowed it and her mind got a bit cloudy. /Oh no! Not poppy!/ She was dizzy and tripped a couple times.

[Thornpaw]

"Stupid sister." he muttered under his breath. He snatched a fish out of the water and put in his small pile. He decided that was enough and began taking it home. /This is going to take a while./ He stared at all of the fish and voles and mice and things. He sighed and began to take a mouthful of prey back to camp.

I flicked my tail after I saw Hollowpaw go into the medicine den. "Well i'm going back to hunt with Liontooth, come on Lavenderpaw."
"Umm.. I think i'll stay here, I mean, i'm a bit shaken up, thats all." Meowed Lavenderpaw.
I sighed but let her stay. "Fine." I meowed, and I turned around and padded out of camp to hunt with Liontooth.

I watched as Snowpaw pad away and then I padded to the medicine den, "Hey Mallowpaw!" I called, "Can I have some poppy seed?" Then I saw Hollowpaw half asleep on the floor, I tried to hold it in but I had to let out a purr of aussment, "Did Hollowpaw have a little poppy to?" I purred.

My day wasn't going well at all. First the hunting, now the poppy! "Huh?" I shook the dust off my pelt. "Oh, uh, Oops!" I noticed Lavenderpaw and purred in embarrassment. "Sorry." I felt a bit better after a mouthful of poppy since my leg wasn't hurting anymore. I padded away into the forest.

{Thornpaw}

I walked in the medicine den and saw Mallowpaw, Lavenderpaw, and of course - Hollowpaw. /Why did that cat always get in trouble?/ I frowned and dropped a small bit of fresh-kill on the ground. "For you guys. Give Hollowpaw a bit too." As I walked out I heard some noises in the medicine den. I figured Hollowpaw had woken up. A few moments later, she padded out of the den into the woods.

As I was walking in the woods, I saw Hollowpaw, I leaped over to her right away. "Hollowpaw!" I meow with suprise, "You should be resting! That leg must hurt something bad!"
I knew I sounded like a queen fussing over a kit, but to clan leader's the clan is their kits and they must protect each one, and if I ever wanted to be leader, I had to act like one.

"Huh?" I whipped my head around and saw Snowpaw. "I'm alright. I had some poppy so it doesn't hurt anymore. You don't have to worry over every little thing!" I picked up a mouthful of moss and began combing thorns out of i and drying it nicely. I grabbed it in my jaws and took it to the elder's den. I padded out of the den and stretched my hind legs.

I yawned as I woke up in the warrior's den, I looked out side to see the sun high in the sky. I shook Waspclaw with my paw. "Hey lazy." I meowed "Time to get up, prey needs to be hunted!"

I hissed when I saw my sister Redleaf waking me, "What is it, can't I have some peace?"
"Good morning to you to Mr.sunshine." Meowed Redleaf, "It's sunhigh, we should be out hunting."
"Fine." I got up out of the den into the center of camp. I saw Madpaw looking up at the sky."Do you want to hunt with me and Redleaf?" I asked."I'm going to ask Hollowpaw to join us to." I added.

I slid out of my den and looked around; the sun was up nad patrols had to be done. I slid out of the den before finding Redleaf and Waspclaw. "Do you two want to come on a border patrol with me?" I asked.

I stretched my hind legs and padded out of the apprentice's den. Thornpaw was waiting for me at the edge of camp and we decided to gather some moss for the elders. I hated doing jobs for the elders. They were always picky and cranky but as my elders, I have to.
