The mouth of the cavern opened up, and before the team was a greyish-brown coloured chamber with puddles of crystal clear water pooling up near formations of delicately crafted stalactites and stalactites.

"Where are we!?" Hibiscus said tremulously, staring at the gorgeous cavern with awe.

"I-in a Limestone Cavern, by the looks of it." Acacia said, equally awestruck. "Past that wall... This cave opens up!"

"I knew it." Lucille said, "I knew that wall held the secret to finding the path onward!"

"Well, there's no time to sit around!" Acacia sighed, "We need to find the Time Gear and check on it." The team went on ahead and began to explore the cavern.

After plunging deeper into the cavern, another opening sprawled out before them with a Kangaskhan statue in the middle of the room.

"We've come pretty far, haven't we?" Hibiscus pondered. "I wonder where the Time Gear is."

"Maybe further ahead?" Acacia offered. "Whatever, I feel like it's pretty close. My pulse is already racing!"

"I hope so. Everyone, be extra careful from here on out. Anyway, we can store our extra items here." Lucille said, "If you picked up anything that you don't need, just put it in the statue's pouch. It will be transported to Kangaskhan Storage back in treasure town." The team dumped excess items such as orbs, boxes, Gummis and other things into the statue's pouch and continued onward. The team trekked deeper and deeper into the damp cave.

"Aah, how much longer until we find the Time Gear!?" Acacia shouted exhaustedly, "I'm sick of this nasty cave. It was pretty at first, but now I'm tired!"

"Don't be so impatient, Acacia." Lucille sighed, "We're all tired. I'm sure we'll find it sooner or later, though."

"Everyone, look! There's a light over there!" Hibiscus exclaimed, interrupting her teammates quarrel. She was right-- a pale, pulsating light shone from the end of the tunnel.

"Yay! I'm sure it's the Time Gear!" Acacia squealed, sounding much more motivated than before. "Let's go!" The team bounded over to the light, finding themselves in a large chamber with ornate natural stairs and even clearer pools of water than anywhere else in the cavern. Huge and gorgeous rock formations filled the room, all reflecting the dazzling light of... A treasure chest.

"What!?" Acacia snapped hotly, her cotton puff expanding with anger. "There's no Time Gear here! Just some stupid treasure!"

"We should at least look and see what's inside." Hibiscus said calmly, already approaching the gorgeous, Jade-plated chest. "Wow, look! It's huge!! There's got to be something neat inside! Lucille! Open it! I can't wait!"

Lucille strode over to the chest and looked at Hibiscus. "Hey, now. Patience is a virtue, Hibiscus." she said, "Opening a treasure chest should be done with grace and splendor... After all, we ARE the renowned team Verdant..."

"Argh, the suspense is killing me!" Acacia said, sounding a little bit excited. "Forget the graces, Lucille! Hurry up and open it!"

"All right, all right." Lucille sighed, placing her leafy blades under the opening of the chest and began to pry it open. Suddenly, the chest burst open, and a dazzling light flooded the room. Within the treasure chest was...

"N-NOTHING!?" Acacia screamed, "The treasure chest... There's nothing in it! It's totally empty! I can't believe this!"

"Why not?" Hibiscus whined, thrusting her head up in the air in defeat.

"Maybe.. This isn't the real treasure." Lucille suggested. "This might've been a decoy! The real treasure might be the Time Gear, and this was set up to protect it!"

Suddenly, the treasure chest shook and rattled clamorously. The team jumped back in awe, and the chest exploded in a burst of bright light. In its place... was a Ditto.

"i hope they have some kind of mental facility in the hospital for flandre and remilia. i dont think they were this dumb before."

"i just want cotton candy. do they sell that at hospitals?"

they all looks at him sarcasticly.

"they might have lollipops,, but no cotton candy."

ty came back, unable to find team verdant.

ty:

"i couldn't find them. so whaat are we talking about?"

rocky:

"if they had lollipops in an area where infected, injured and dying pokemon stayed, don't you think the lollipops would make it even worse if some 6 year old with ebola went over and grabbed them all, but then decided he didnt like them and put them all back?"

shae:

"good point. sorry cole."

cole looked disappointed.

"A Ditto?" Lucille pondered, awestruck.

"Hey, have you seen a Time Gear around here anywhere?" Hibiscus asked eagerly.

"How did you know about that?" the Ditto replied, "The rumours about this cave state that there's a rare treasure here, now a Time Gear. Just... Who are you?"

"We're Team Verdant." Acacia said. "We're from the Future, where time has effectively stopped. We travelled to the point in time where it seemed to begin to stop with the aid of a Pokémon named Celebi."

Hibiscus nodded. "Yup! We're here to check on all of the Time Gears to make sure nothing happens to them." she stated proudly. "To protect the flow of time."

The Ditto looked at the team with vacant eyes. "Something happened to the Time Gears in the future?" it said, "But... I've been protecting them all of my life. How could I let something like that slip?"

"I don't know, but we've heard rumours that it's not that they were stolen." Lucille continued, "That they are supposed to be on top of Temporal Tower to keep the flow of time intact. And if they stay scattered throughout the region, time will eventually become too broken and fall apart."

They went in and did all that stuff you're supposed to do, then they sat down on one of the couches and waited
