Feeling something softly tug at my ear, I opened my eyes sleepily to see Dhaval.

"Whaa?" I asked him through a thick yawn. My ears perked up, listening for any signs of danger. I relaxed slightly when I didn't hear anything but the howling of snow outside.

A small blush crept onto Dhaval's cheeks. "Livna's hungry.." he muttered, looking embarrassed for some reason. His stomach suddenly growled loudly.

Livna glanced up and made a face at Dhaval. "No I'm not!" the small Buneary huffed. "Dhaval's stomach has been grumbling for hours though!"

I stifled a smile. "We're all hungry," I agreed. "I'll check our storages to see what food is left."

I crawled to the far right of the room, where a small hole in the wall we kept our food in was. I searched around for a moment, my hand finally hitting something cold and hard. Pulling it out I stared at the pathetic pile of frozen Oran berries in my paw. It'll have to do... I thought to myself. I guess I'll have to start foraging for some more food supplies soon..

I quickly handed my siblings a few icy berries and they both attacked their food eagerly. I watched them eat, trying to ignore the grumbling of my own stomach

Livna looked up at me with a concerned look in her eyes."Aren't you going to eat?" She asked hesitantly, a berry already halfway up to her mouth.

"Im fine," I said, faking a smile of assurance. "I'm going foraging today anyway."

the sun was almost at its highest point in the sky. it was one of the warmest parts of the day, but it definitely wasnt warm. there was a small breeze that whipped at everyone's fur. zero told shrike that he was gonna go look for food. he felt kind of guilty almost pouncing on the mincinno, but if he kept up that attitude, he'd die of starvation, and likely his brother too. he sprinted off, forging for food that wasnt frozen or rotten.

I trotted over to the Minccino as well. "What's your name, buddy?" I asked. "Don't mind Zero... he's just really hungry, eh?"

I straightened up. "Come to think of it, where did I put all those Apples?"

zero looked around, but after a while he found nothing. he trotted back home empty handed and disappointed. he looked at the minccino, almost wishing he'd pounced on it before BC yelled at him. he went into his den, into his branch of the den and layed there quietly, trying to think of something to do.

Siku looked as if he was sweating, even though it was only a few degrees warmer than usual.

"I hate this time of day," he panted, "It's too hot." He looked over at Zero, and straightened his back.

"In the tundra, you need to suppress your hunger." he barked affirmatively, "Food is sparse, especially if you are not willing to hurt anyone. You need to try to slow your metabolism."

the minccino switched glances from both of the pokemon standing above him.

"i'm jackson...." he replied shyly

zero knew that, but he hadnt eaten in almost 3 days. he grew silent.

"Ainngai." he barked back happily, "It's nice to meet you." Siku seemed to radiate cold, so even though he was being very friendly, he wasn't exactly a very good travel companion for trekking the Arctic Tundra. His icy, ribbonlike tail glided back and forth happily.

Jackson felt the ground shake a little.

Jackson:

"what do you think? is it an earthquake?"

the shaking became more violent as seconds passed. soon, shrike and zero noticed the shaking and came out of their den.

shrike:

"what's happening?"

soon, a huge cloud of puffs of snow approached everyone, and once it was close enough, they noticed that it was a HUGE heard of stampeding mamoswine and philoswine. most pokemon would look at this as danger, but zero looked past that.

zero thought this was the perfect chance to ounce on someone. the stampede barely clipped the den site, and zero dashed after them, looking for one that looked injured.

shrike:

"dont be gnoe to long, zero."

zero:

"i know!" his voice faded as he was out of yelling range.

jackson looked at everyone.

jackson:

"i think i should go now... i hope that if that electrike comes back with nothing that he doesnt pounce on me."

I glanced back in the direction from where I had first spied Zero. "There's the Apples!!!" I yelled happily. My huge pile of Apples glittered in the dim sunlight.

Undyne passed out in the middle of the snow.

Kirio made it to a large cave, as they began to enter inside, light glowing from them. They began to nap a bit.

Fronst looked at the group of Pokemon and then at the stampede. She flew up and used Powder Snow, Gront followed and used Icy Wind.

Chandeliene looked at the apples the Pikachu was looking at and sneaked to the nearest tree to it. She didn't want to steal the food, but hunger took over her. She dug in.

Chandeliene slowly went towards the pile of apples again. "I don't know who are they." she said before she took the half-eaten apple and started to nibble at it. She paused for a while. "I'm Chandeliene." and continued nibbling.

shrike sat not to far from the group near the apple pile.

shrike:

"nice to meet you guys. im shrike."

shrike was really hungry. he walked over to the apples. he wondered if he shouold try one. he nudged one towards himself and took a bite. he hid his real reaction. being part of the canine family, he was a carnivore, so this apple tasted really bad. but he couldnt resist it for some reason and ended up eating the whole apple.

zero came back with a big chunk of meat. when he saw his brother eating an apple, his jaw dropped.

zero:

"shrike! what the heck are you doing? snap out of it!"

shrike looked at zero for a minute. his ears dropped.

shrike:

"im sorry, i just couldnt wait any longer...."

zero face pawed.

zero:

"whatever."

it was becoming close to night time. it was really cold.

but then, something really beautiful happened. there was an aurora across the sky.

shrike and zero looked at it. it reflected slightly on the black parts of their fur.

after it was over, they walked back to their den.

they somehow managed to cook the meat that zero brought back. they ripped off a fair share of chunks and went to their branches of the den. zero sealed up the enterance and they both ate the chunks of meat they took. zero went asleep almost right away after that, but shrike had a hard time falling asleep. his stomach hurt. he should have waited til zero got back with the meat before he ate anything.

zero woke up again and went outside. shrike was already awake, but he was laying in his branch of the den, regreting eating an apple. zero padded out into the snow to see what everyone else was doing. he only needed about an hour of sleep and he woud be good for a whole day.

"Awake already?" he chuckled, "What, was it too cold?" He thumped his tail against the snow cheerfully.

Suddenly, a huge snowstorm whipped up, cracking and breaking Madoka's ice block entrance into a huge mess. She didn't even notice because she fainted.

Siku bounded over to the den to check if there was anyone still asleep. He pushed the ice block out of the way, and saw Madoka, who was starving.

"Little one, there is food out there you are missing out on." he said, "Do you need help getting out?"

zero bounded over as well. it was almost pitch black outside. the wind put out the fire in their den. the winds almost picked zero up.

zero flew into the den unexpectedly. shrike looked out into the main part of the den to see that their fire was out and zero flew into the den.

shrike:

"ugh...what's happening?"

zero:

"madoka is starving to death, her den got knocked down and i almost went flying in this wind! get outside."

shrike:

"fine...."

they both struggled to go outside because the wind blew towards them.

Madoka woke up to see Siku standing there. She jumped up in surprise and quickly ran out and away from everyone while the blizzard was still going on. She shivered and slowly walked along, getting blown off her feet at times.
