Madoka turned back and walked back towards Zero, Shrike and Siku. She coughed violently and collapsed near the three and her den, about 3 meters away.

My brother and sister were curled together, snoring softly. The cute scene making a smile tug at my lips. I stroked my paw across Livna's ear gently.

"I'll be back soon," I whispered to them, unsure whether they could hear me or not. Dhaval stirred in his sleep and muttered something inaudible.

I silently slipped out of the den and glanced around alertly, mostly out of habit. The area around was cool, empty, and silent. Though, from my experiences I knew how fast that could change.

I headed in the direction of where a river I knew was nearby. The water itself was too icy and dangerous to be of much use, but there were a few greens and berries that survived the harsh cold. I dearly hoped that there were at least a few. Dhaval and Livna were getting so thin...

My pace soon increasing to a sprint, I quickly made it to the river. A few Spheal were splashing upstream nearby. I eyed them warily and started poking around the shore, looking for anything edible.

My eyes scanned the snow carefully. Seeing a glimmer of gold in the corner of my eye, I turned and smiled brightly at the familiar yellow flowers. I eagerly bounded to them, ripping the clump of poppys out of the frozen earth.

Looking around quickly I was disappointed to see that there weren't any other clumps, but I really couldn't complain. I hesitantly ripped off a small part of its root and began chewing slowly. I swear that my stomach did some sort of a back flip of joy.

As I chewed, I skipped happily back in the direction of the den. Dhaval and Livna would be excited of my findings.


As I awoke, murky, fuddled thoughts fluttered around in my head. The fresh smell of blood filtered into my nose. My face felt cold and numb.

I shook my head, wondering why everything was pitch black, then realized that my eyes were clamped shut. I wrenched open my eyes after a moment of struggle and blinked furiously at the sudden light. I groaned loudly. My side ached painfully.

I looked to the left of me, were the snow seemed to be a dark red color for reason. I then realized that it was stained with blood. My blood.

My stomach heaved and I had to restrain from throwing up. I slammed my eyes closed again, my breath long, shaky gasps of pain.

they finally dragged madoka into siku's den.

just then, there was a pack of mightyena that came to their den site. they growled viciously. they both growled back.

Siku emitted a low warning growl from the back of his throat. He had dealt with wild Mightyena before, but never in a pack this big. He prepared himself to use Ice Beam on the pack's leader, but wouldn't attack unless one of them made a wrong move.

Parsee was walking in the snow when she saw Madoka, Zero, Shrike and Siku. She also saw the Mightyena.

Parsee:
"Get out of here!!"

She attacked them and began to fend them off on her own, chasing them away. She looked at Madoka and looked at Zero, Shrike and Siku. She stood in front of Madoka, defending her.

Parsee:
"How dare you attack Madoka! She's my sister!"

"If I were you, I wouldn't mess with me." Siku snarled back at the Mightyena, "Wouldn't want to get frozen solid in the middle of the Arctic, da?"

A freezing light appeared in Siku's mouth in warning. He could fire a deadly-cold Ice Beam at any time.

they only backed off a few feet, then approached again, snarling, scratching and biting. one of them bit zero's leg and wouldn't let go. in return, zero bit the mightyena's neck and also wouldnt let go.

Parsee gently put Madoka into a pile of soft snow so that she wouldn't be harmed by the Mightyena. She looked at them and snarled. She dashed towards them and began to kick and punch them, along with some Leaf Blade combo moves.

My ears shot upward when I heard the sounds of battle nearby. Struggling to my feet I began stumbling towards the sounds, ignoring the protesting of my wounds.

My heart leapt in excitement when I saw what seemed to be a pack of Mightyena in the distance, even though I knew that if my pack saw me again, I'd probably be killed on the spot.

As I got closer, I snarled in frustration when I realized that it was just a band of rogues. My lip curled in disgust.

they all started biting everyone, multiple on each pokemon in the area. they went into dens and stole pokemon. every. single. den. shrike had a huge gash on one of his legs.

Parsee began to attack the pack violently and mercilessly, not giving a single thought to her conscience. She grabbed a Mightyena by the tail and kicked it. After she kicked it roughly, she violently tossed it onto the ice. She did things like crescent kicking then punching and then kicking them away again.

IC:

A few Mightyena turned and snarled at me, apparently smelling the blood thickly coated on my pelt. I snarled back fiercely, in no mood to surrender to a couple of mangy rogues.

The Migthyena seemed somewhat amused at my reaction, seeing my wounds as a weakness. I bared my fangs at them hostilely. They couldn't ever be more wrong.

The first Mightyena sprang at me, its yellow fangs clearly visible. I easily side-stepped and lunged, my jaws closing over its head. I bit down hard, feeling my powerful jaws crush its skull. The Mightyena went limp and fell lifelessly on the ground.

The other Mightyena seemed shocked, but apparently weren't smart enough to run away. They approached more cautiously, circling around me.

Parsee had enough mercy to spare the Mightyena and to not kill them. She just dealt light blows to them and stopped attacking them. Walking to them, she patted one of them on the back and smiled.

Parsee:
"It's OK. We won't hurt you. You can go. Just don't be bad anymore, OK?"

The Mightyena nodded and smiled back. It wanted to join Parsee. She looked at it and grinned.

Parsee:
"Yes, you can travel with me."

She looked at Zero and Shrike.

Parsee:
"Hey! This Mightyena is permanently gonna travel with me now!"

Feeling jaws close around my back leg I growled and flung my attacker on to the ground. I opened my jaws to attack, but froze when I saw it was only a Poochyena. Its eyes widened hopelessly as it laid there on the ground. I hesitated, staring down at the pup.

While my back was turned the two other Mightyenas sprang at me, catching me off guard. One latched on the scruff of my neck. The other bit and slashed at my already wounded side. I howled in pain and snapped my jaws at them. Feeling my fangs sink into flesh I mercilessly bit down and hurled the Mightyena away, hearing a satisfying cry of pain. I shook myself, trying to dislodge the Mightyena on my neck. The Mightyena only growled, and bit down deeper. I shrieked in pain.

a sweat drop fell down zero's head. he looked to the left.

shrike didnt trust the mightyena that parsee was traveling with. but, maybe if he saw what happened, he might trust him more.

Parsee saw Aibek and the other Mightyena. She ran towards it. She grabbed the Mightyena by the tail and tossed it into a pile of snow. She walked over to Aibek.
