ABANDONED: Egg Cave Creature RP!

Storm looked at Valkur. She wasn't sure of a tactful way to put that they were all abandoned.

Storm remembered what had happened with her. "Um... I was considered dangerous," Storm said quietly.

"Aw, Storm," Valkur's beak dug into the ground as she tried to find some sort of leverage by which she could lift herself up, "you know how to fight, yeah, but you're really nice! Nice to me too!" The Aig's tail wagged, yet she remained lying on her side.

"But don't worry, you can live with me and my owner, soon, just need, to..." Valkur grunted, attempted to push herself up with her forearms. She made some progress and with her right wing pushing off from the ground to escape the fate of being crushed by its owner, Valkur managed to shift into a lying position, her four lower limbs now resting upon the ground. "Ah. Much better."

"No worries!" Valkur chirped to the Wynerl. "Whoever was Storm's owner, they were dumb to leave her behind. But I wouldn't have met if her if they didn't...so..."

The Aig looked quizzical for a bit, then returned to smiling.

"Well, come on then." Valkur wobbled to and fro, then righted herself, slouching forward on her forepaws, using her hind legs to keep the rest of herself standing. Some feeling was returning to her shocked paws; just a little, but enough to reassure the Aig. She turned and began walking in the direction she tried flying in before, heading (unbeknownst to her) Northeast.

"Let's get back home!"

"Why not?" Storm sighed slightly and began following the Aig. If Valkur was going to leave, then Storm was definitely coming with her. Storm padded silently along, pondering the way to Valkur's place.

"Nope! I don't mind at all, Shadow. The more the merrier!" Valkur chirped. With a joyful disposition, the Aig, while wobbling clumsily on her two front paws, led her friends towards what she thought was the way out of the now ruined forest, to Ark City, where her owner resided.

But if one were to look at the Ark map (just click on the "explore" tab), they might scream and tell the clueless bird beast to stop and turn around, for the trio were now heading in the opposite direction of Ark City, deeper into the forest, which would soon become jungle, and then...

"Hmm, I guess Inferno's fire didn't reach this part of the woods. We must be getting closer then! Onward, friends!" Valkur chirped in an effort to uplift spirits; her own, and those of her companions.

The once familiar landscape of burnt trees and charred grasses had been left behind, and a voluminous array of green plants had returned to overtake the group's vision. The trees draping flowering vines stood tall, reducing the intensity of the sun's rays, and thick shrubbery surrounded the travelers. The sounds of wild creatures rang out all around them, though most were unfamiliar to Valkur.

The Aig's wobbling waddle had worsened as the group of creatures progressed further into the ever denser woods. Though she had feeling in her paws again, the pain was returning. Valkur began to pant due to the strain she was placing upon her body. The air, now humid, was only increasing her burden.

(I keep getting bad dice rolls.)

Storm looked at Valkur concernedly. Clearly Valkur was in pain. "Valkur maybe we should stop..." Storm said. The air felt thick and muggy. She felt somewhat annoyed at that, and her clouds began to rain. The rain was cool and soaked Storm's fur.

"Hah...a'right...but...h'where?" Valkur looked to Storm, her tongue lolling from her beak. Perspiration rolled down her back and collected in a shallow puddle near her paws. Eyeing Storm's rainclouds at work, Valkur padded over to the Aska and panted, "Mind if I...get some water..too?"

Storm moved over to let Valkur move closer. She looked at Shadow,"Yes, my name is Storm." The rain around her grew heavier and drenched her fur. It was very refreshing.

Storm nodded then scanned the rainforest. "Um guys, are we sure that the jungle leads to Ark City?" She inquired. She didn't know geography but still.

Storm shrugged,"I don't know. I haven't really studied the map of the Ark." Storm sat down and let the rain run down her pelt. Suddenly it became snow. "Well I don't usually create snow," Storm said. The snow drifted gently down.

"Ahh." Valkur closed her eyes and relaxed as the cool water ran down her feathers and fur. Taking small steps back from Storm as the Aska sat down, Valkur shook herself, flinging cool water droplets around her. "Thank you, Storm! That's like, more than three times now, that you've saved me! I'm sure my owner would really like having you live with us. You could keep me out of trouble!" She looked down at her stiff paws. "Because I don't know how I keep getting into trouble..." the Aig murmured quietly.

At the inquiry by her companions, Valkur tilted her head to the side. "Mmm, I don't know where we are. The place where my owner lives has lots of buildings. So I thought if we left the forest, we'd leave the trees and find the buildings. But all we've found is," she looked up at the canopy above, "more trees. And sorry Shadow, I can't see the sun from here. Maybe I could try flying again?"

To the right of the Aig, a large leathery vine crept along the ground, falling limp whenever a pair of eyes were to look in its general direction. Sneakily, the thorny tendril slithered towards Storm, the tip reaching towards her storm cloud...then recoiling at the sudden intense cold. Snow was not something the plant had encountered before and the new sensation confused it. To investigate the new phenomenon, several more tendrils writhed across the ground, joining the cold touched one; some were adorned with sickly looking red flowers.

(Yes, I have decided that adding new temporary characters would help keep my interest. I hope this is not disagreeable to you all (really just you two lol)? Can you guess that Ark creature?)

I suppose just to see what time it is and then we can wait till nighttime if it's safe and then we can find the North Star.Then we can base our directions from their.

Storm felt like there was something moving behind them. She couldn't see it but their was certainly something out there. Her thoughts caused the snow to increase intensity. "Whoops sorry guys!" She said as the snow grew more intense,"Let me try to calm those clouds of mine." She tried to breathe calmly and found that the clouds started having a nice gently drifting snow.

(Hey everyone, my drive for this RP has been really lacking, and I don't want to post only once a week and leave you two hanging, so I think it's better to end it here. But not entirely.

This specific thread can be locked, but I've written down a few more events to happen next, though they're not written to flow in the RP yet, they're like bullet points right now. So when I'm feeling up to it, I'll open a new thread, ABANDONED 2 (title in the works), and we can continue from where we left off. I've already recorded the last few posts so nothing's been lost.

Does that sound all right with you?)
