Stupid ads

Ads covering more then half my game, have to do more scrolling then playing, what is going on with SO many big ads?! I have screenshots to prove it, makes it almost impossible to play, it wasn't like this before. And no, I do not have or get any ad blockers, they mess up my computer.

I've been getting new ads that slide up a portion of the screen and make it really hard to play, especially playing mobile.

If you are encountering ads that are causing problems please send in a ticket. That way Ian can see about removing those specific ads.

There's no specific ad, no offensive ad, no problematic ad per say. They ALL are! They are interfering with the game and cover more then half a screen! I could send a screenshot in a ticket, if it would help making the ads smaller or more comfortable for us to play and SEE the game...

Edit: Day 4 since the ticket, day 6 since this post. Meanwhile I struggle between seeing less then half a game and waiting for ads to load...Yet one more reason for me to go into hiatus...Thanks a lot.

same thing happening to mine too. I can hardly play while I'm trying to avoid the ads. They just keep coming. it's Eggcave specific as when I'm on other sites I don't have this problem and Adblock froze my computer. I'm usually on my phone and its almost impossible to play now.

I saw this thread and disabled AdBlock for a few minutes just to see, and immediately got a pop-up ad that covered the entire site. Submitted a ticket in the hopes that multiple people doing so may get it looked at faster?

Hopping into this cause I know I sent a ticket about it before.
Yeah this happens both on Mobile and on desktop.
It is incredibly annoying on both as the add will drop down or slide up from the top or bottom of the screen. It visually intrudes on space and becomes very irritating (at least to me) to the point I try to not use eggcave on mobile or on another incognito window, I try to only visit eggcave from my chrome browser where I have a Adblock.
I used to have no issues with how adds appeared on site, but these are rather obnoxious. I’d love to support eggcave by allowing myself ads, but that’s not going to happen with these.

We've made the change to turn off something called auto ads which are the things covering everything. The change should be live in about 10 minutes from this message. Better?

I’m not getting ads anymore especially not one that cover up the whole screen. I am on my phone at the moment without an ad block

Much better! Some of the ads are still auto-playing which is annoying but they are all a lot smaller thank goodness.

i’m not really getting any annoying big ads but i am getting inappropriate 18+ ads…

it might be because of my location, i also am getting ads for my area too but it kind of creeps me out cause i’m still a kid in middle school 😭

If you are seeing inappropriate ads please send in a ticket. Those should not be appearing.
