@charchill actually made a great point, I've forgotten about the no extra rules thing on Ian's post. I remember somebody doing it recently and it made the contest fun so I thought I'd do the same.

For now I'd like to clarify, extra rules count until I do another one at the end of a post like this (regardless of days) and it will never be for my benefit in any way but.

I'll run a poll if you'd like these to continue - if not then it'll run like a normal contest ^^

Reading through the rules again i see nothing actually concerning bonus point thingies.
I just know that mods have come down on people for changing the foundational rules of a contest mid-way.
(Which is a good thing - It's not fair to players if the main rules are changed at will.)

If one states from the very beginning that there may be additional opportunities to earn extra points they're usually fine with it so long as it's similar to the mechanics of how the contest is being run.

If it were a writing contest for example, and one had to write an essay on the theory of why butterflies like singing songs on Eggcave... and entries were due in two months. The contest holder may have short poetry weekly entries on the same theme. One week could be a haiku, the next might be something short with six lines but must contain the color blue.

But if say in my number guessing contest, i changed the rules from the closest number without going over, to all of a sudden announcing the winners saying I had changed my mind and gave it to the person who guessed furthest away... that would NOT be okay.

Since this is a feeding contest, and you said people would earn X number of points per Y fed, adding an additional thing to feed here or there should absolutely be okay. You stated it in the very beginning, so no one should be surprised by this, nor consider it unfair if others are finding the additional ways to earn points. (Only clarification that I see should have been made is that it would be in your post for the day, as opposed to on the main/1st post.)
Thank you for clarifying the part that bonuses are in effect until the next announcement ^^ (Pending the continuation of bonuses.)
