*Element: Earth??? (apparently)

*Personality: Funny, sarcastic, and rather arrogant, he tends to take everything as a joke, but has a serious side and a fiery temper when awakened.
*Physical Description: Black spikey hair with a permanent ruffled look, sharp emerald green eyes, and unlike most Terrementh he is fast and not very strong. Slightly tall but pretty medium height. Usually wears black. Tanned.
Other Info: He has completely no control over earth at all. Despite this and his lack of the usual Terrementh strength he is athletic and skilled with crafts and so he is accepted and even popular in the clan. Sometimes he jokes that there was some kind of mistake at the (nonexistant) hospital.
Mother: Emma, young and very pretty. She got married after having Chance to a very high ranking Terrementh.
Father: Unknown.
Other: He has a step father called Duane, who he strongly dislikes and a little step sister called Nicole, whom he adores.?

"Chance!" Emma yelled from the porch of the house. "Chance! Oh, where did that boy go now?" She sighed.
Chance let out an exaggerated matching sigh from behind. "I'm right here, Mother, sheesh."
She turned and narrowed her eyes. "You snuck in the back door again, didn't you?" She accused.
"Of course not. Now, why would I do a thing like that?" Chance asked innocently.
"Don't lie to me! You, you were off with those no good friends of yours again, weren't you!"
"Gimmee a break," he yawned, collapsing into a chair.
Emma crossed her arms and scowled. "Now that your father is such an impor-"
"Step-father," Chance corrected with annoyance. "I get the picture okay? Anyway, you have Nicole for your perfect little daughter."
"Don't give me that," Emma glared and Chance looked at her then stalked out of the house.

"Well, I ought to be going back to the Tribe now. Thank you for having me for lunch, Beth and Dave."

Rianee nodded a short farewell to the kind couple. Er, well, kind wife and pretty-kind-most-of-the-time husband. She walked back to the Terrementh camp, looking for something to do. She played with a small clump of earth, willing it to move, and it did on a minuscule scale, moving in a lethargic glop. Rianee sighed to herself.

"Great, now if somebody is attacking me, I can defend myself by getting their feet dirty."

Rianee rolled her eyes.

"It's usually more effective to just chuck it at them and punch them while they're distracted," Chance agreed, coming up from behind Rianee. He looked at the earth with an expression bordering between annoyance (which was his default after all) and something like distaste.

Sylvi followed Kirsten. She could fly pretty well. Sylvi saw that Kirsten was headed towards two Terrementh people talking. Sylvia forced a brave look on her face, but she was afraid that the Terremenths would turn her in and she would have to get tortured as a captive.

Sita saw somebody walking towards her. "It's Kirsten." she muttered to Xi, "She's nice. Now, where is the scent leading now?" Xi gave the air a good whiff, "I can't smell anymore."
I stared at Xi in shock, "It's not there anymore?!"
Xi shook her head and mewed, "But we can always look for her. The scent has a hint of Terremeth. Strange, eh?"

Dave nodded his farewell to Rianee, and turned to his wife when she closed the door. "Ah, choosing the Chosen Ones are always a pain in the neck." He sighed, suddenly feeling old and tired. "I can't stand another hundred years of this.. hopefully these four will be different then all the other whiny brats over the last couple of centuries."
Beth nodded, "And I hope this Chosen Terremeth will be less stupid.."

Chance sighed and wandered off into the forest. The other boys his age would no doubt be hunting and farming and mining and everything and doing it all in no time, no effort at all with their aaaamaaaazing earth power.
Chance picked a pebble from the forest floor and weighed it in his hand, concentrating all his willpower on it.
Up, he commanded.
Nothing happened.
With a rueful smile he chucked it away and it landed in the river with a "splooosh". He knew he had absolutely zilch earth power, and that it was hopeless. For some reason though, his mother still hung on to the stupid hope that he'd be a keeper.

Dave ambled along, Ruby sleeping on his shoulder. He looked around offhandly before crouching, his hand on the ground.
Dave's knees suddenly springed, sending him 30ft into the air. He floated a bit before flying in an aimless direction, which was West, towards the forest. Dave had a creeping pit in his stomach, telling him something bad was going to happen. Worry lines on his face, he flew faster towards the two.. no, three heated dots deep in the Proscribed Forest.
