Greetings everyone! I would like to express my gratitude to all those who submitted applications and to those who vouched for the applicants. Although it was a challenging decision, I am confident that I have found the ideal person to take over the adoption center as the new owner. This individual has been making anonymous donations to the center and has prior experience in managing a similar rescue enclosure. Her profile and thread layouts demonstrate impressive organizational skills, and she has been actively involved in the community. Personally, what sets her apart is that we both share a deep desire to serve and give back to the community. I want to emphasize that I do not intend to discredit the other applicants, as they all possess excellent management skills. I hope that you will continue to support the adoption center under new leadership. This is 99% a vouch and 1% an observation.Prosβ’ V is very kind, engaging, and easygoing.β’ She appears to be quite active on the site.β’ She has an interest in helping others.β’ She is one of the newer users on EC that seems to have stuck around and is on daily (unfortunately, seems like there is a low retention rate with many new users).β’ She has previously created her own adoptables account, which shows interest in wanting to run an adoption center!Con?β’ I recall one time V posted in Twinkle's Adoption Center requesting a pet, but was unsure if she had another adoption available yet as she had recently received one. Twinkle corrected that V did not yet have any available adoptions, and she had to wait x amount of days until she can request again. This would worry me that V might get mixed up or confused with all of the hubbub and commotion of an adoption center and the high traffic it can and has been receiving. I could too, it can be easy to get disoriented with something like this.All of this is said with respect and is based off of my observations. I hope none of this was offensive. I love the Vic but wanted to give a hopefully unbiased vouch. π(PS Twinkle, literally yesterday I was thinking to ask you if you'd like help with your AC, but with other projects I have going on I'd love to see another user get this awesome opportunity. πΈ)

Application Form:Username: ChaoticTreatDescribe your site activity: I'm always on at least once a day to do dailies and feeding contests, and will normally hang around for an hour or more unless I'm really busy that day. Sometimes I'll pop in other times of day although that's normally just to feed. During events I'm much more active than usual and will often be on for several hours a day. I'm also very active in the Eggcave discord πWhy should I choose you: I love spreadsheets and organisation in general (and am pretty good at it I'd say)! I think this is a positive quality because liking the job will mean I am much more likely to stick with it and update consistently rather than it becoming too much of a chore. I already use a spreadsheet to keep track of all my different creatures across my main and side(s). I also only have two sides so would be able to have a third one, and I have a LoV! What's more, I really love the Eggcave community and would like to become an even more well-known and active member than I am currently, and I think temporarily running the adoption center would help with this - and vice versa!Ping 3 people who can vouch for you: @daisycat @amelialightwing @nut

I feel that this is a great quality for running a bustling adoption center, as math utilizes logical thinking, organization, and an interest in data.β’ She is active on EC, logging on daily, and also very active on the Discord.β’ She is friendly, amusing, and organized; I can see her truly enjoying managing an adoption center as it relies on organization skills and gets one involved in the community.Con?β’ Chaotic sometimes almost forgets to do the dailies, but to my knowledge, I don't think she's actually ever forgotten! She is sometimes reminded by kind fellow members, such as @/amelialightwing, which is really nice to see. Overall, this could worry me that she may forget to check in with the adoption center, but my worries fade away when I realize she often follows topics and she would be notified, with or without ping, that someone has requested an adoption.Reiterating that my words are intended with full respect, with desire to come across as unbiased, and I hope that none of this was offensive.

@chaotictreat @twinklethanks for the ping, this is my vouchI think chaotictreat would do a great job π I've enjoyed getting to know her on the ec discord, and she's definitely an active user who is dedicated to the community and her personal eggcave goals. my only worry is that sometimes she seems quite busy with real life (aren't we all though? lol), and the adoption center seems like quite a commitment. also meant with full respect!! I have no doubt in her skills at all, just hoping this responsibility won't be too stressful!

Why should I choose you: I'm really good at organizing in general, work well under pressure and love using spreed sheets. Running an adoption center seems like a fun challenge and it's also a great way to interact with others. I've also helped in the past (many many years ago) to keep creatures alive in hiatus coves by doing massive feedings. They do a lot of feeding, and are active throughout a lot of the day (a l o t more during events) and reply back speedily if they're active! :^] They're overall super chill to be around, and are kind during every interaction!

@romanjr370 @twinkleI 100% vouch for @romanjr370 and have had no experience that would make me question their abilities for this position. Only thing I will say is they spelled my username wrong when pinging me xD They have always been very kind and patient in their interactions, which is why I feel they would be a very good host for the adoption center in dealing with those who wish to adopt. They are very active on the site, so I trust they would be able to take on the requirements listed; Roman is also the type of user who is very unlikely to go on a random hiatus which could affect the adoption center. Overall, my many interactions with Roman tell me they are a very responsible, trustworthy, capable and kind user who would be very qualified for this β€οΈ The best of luck on your licensure exam Twinkle!!! β€οΈ Praying for your peace and wisdom and that everything would go as it should ^^

@murfijs @twinkle I'll definitely vouch for murfijs! I don't have the brain power to be as in-depth as the others here, but I've traded and communicated with murfijs on several occasions. She seems to be fairly active here and quick with responses/communications. I'll point out that she was on a hiatus for awhile but since she's been back she's been consistently active.

@dibabeebees @twinkle Hello, V has been helping me with my weekly shopping. There's an element of trust there and I've never suspected her of short-changing me. I can trust her not to take from the donation centre.As a new player, she is very very active - but as an older player myself I do worry if this would lead to a quick burnout rate as I've seen with a lot of players on the site. So far though, she has long term goals on EC and is working hard towards it, so I'm confident that she's found what makes her stick on eggcave and won't lose interest in the game π

@murfijs @twinkle besides the hiatus they took, they are extremely responsive and I have traded many times with them. I think they are extremely capable of sending out critters fast and efficiently, and they are well known around the site too. :]

@chaotictreat Thank you, for the ping. @twinkle I can vouch that Chaotic is responsible enough to take care of an adoption center as far as I am aware. Yes, life does bring distractions however, she does make sure to check in on eggcave daily and the topics she is apart of. Though, I had reminded her to do dailies for a bit she did end up reminding others to do theirs and has started to be more on task with their dailies as far as I know. I cannot think of anything else to say. ^^;

starting off by stating that i agree to all of the terms and conditions!Username: @shadowfaxeDescribe your site activity: i'm on every day for a few hours. i use the pomodoro method to get my work done and i check eggcave in between sessions, so i'm pretty much chronically online for a fixed time every day xD i may get busy from time to time but i always prioritise making time for tasks that i need to complete.Why should I choose you: i've been playing eggcave since 2017, and considering the fact that i'm still active, i think it's safe to say i won't be going anytime soon. having hosted events myself before, i believe i'm capable of handling and organising adoption requests. i'd say that i have decent organisation skills (which is hopefully shown through the way i format my posts / topics etc.) and i finish my tasks systematically and routinely, which guarantees that i get things done.my responses are typically quick, and i prioritise getting things done as efficiently as possible and to the best of my ability - e.g. chocolate exchanges - i've returned almost every chocolate sent to me as a 1:1 trade within the day; bigger exchanges such as 50:50 took a bit longer but i haven't had any pending exchanges longer than 1 day and a half.as a trader, i'm fair and honest, which i am sure will translate to the open handling of transactions - people who have interacted / traded with me up to this point can attest to that (i hope, lol)i do have three sides at the moment (and a LoV in each account) but i have more than enough space to move all of my creatures into storage on one account, which opens up the third c:thank you for everything you've done with the adoption center β€οΈ the effort and dedication you've put towards it is incredibly admirable.genuinely, i would not mind doing this regardless of the incentive as i'm already happy with what i have as is.the main reason i'm interested in helping with the adoption center is that i've been a long time beneficiary of the generosity of fellow eggcave players, and i would really love to just pay the kindness forward. Definitely vouching for @shadowfaxe! (@twinkle)I can attest to quick turn-around time with trading, events, and any other communications. I also feel like she has good organizational skills and takes the time to present things in a neat and understandable manner (based on threads started and communications had).And although this doesn't directly affect this specific job, shadowfaxe has made a good number of creature suggestions and had a few implemented into the site, which imo shows that she's dedicated to the game and in this for the long haul.
