creatures named after fictional characters

does anyone else like to name some of their creatures after fictional characters they like?

my foka and one of my siatae are both named after characters from ONE (which ive also based my username on). i'm just curious if anyone else likes to do this and if you could show those creatures to me that would be great!

I have Aihara the Rousel named after the main character in Itazura na Kiss

Amelia Watson the Innu named after a Hololive member so a fictional character but real life idol.
Astolfo the Naharian named after a character from the Fate series.
Avanna the Engel named after an English Vocaloid
Black_Rock_Shooter the Canige named after the main character from Black Rock Shooter
Friede the Kinump named after Sister Freide from a Dark Souls game
Then I have a bunch of Pokemon too and other ones from the above anime/ games/ Vocaloids/ Hololive and more that I haven't listed.

I haven't heard of ONE, I'm assuming you think it's pretty good considering you've got these creatures and your username. What is it about? I may have to see if it's available in my country.

ONE is an animated youtube series that's part of the object show genre. it can be a little difficult to get into if you aren't already familiar with object shows, which are essentially animated series that involve talking and personified objects. normally they take the form of competition/reality shows (think survivor) but ONE is essentially a surreal genre deconstruction so it's a lot heavier, more character driven and has horror elements. it's a little bit of an odd and specific subculture, but you can't choose your special interests lol 😅

as far as object shows themselves go, the first one made was bfdi, so if you're even slightly interested in the genre as a whole i recommend starting with it. all of these are on youtube for free.

I've got quite a few (read way too many) even though some of them are a variation of the name because the original one was taken. Some of my Auggas are named after characters from the owl house (managed to snag Edalyn for one of them!) and I've got a few creatures named after Tolkien characters (GROND the tasma is honestly probably my favourite)

I've got a Tsukai named Crowleyy but I'm probably going to transfer that name to a vampiria when I get one

I named my tidnab AcheronHades after the villain from the Japser Fforde book The Eyre Affair

Two of my creatures are named after the elders from the TV show Yonderland (ElderVex the phantowl and ElderFlowers the gestan) and I named my ibridi after the show itself.

I've also got a shrew named RattusRattus after the talking rat and host of Horrible Histories

There's also my cibirio named PeniParker and my xatta named SpiderByte from across the spiderverse

On my hoard account, I've got a luminette named LucyCarlyle (from Lockwood and Co) and I'm collecting cosmomons named after Star Trek ship (not technically a character really but still fun). I've also got my lafta LaForge whose named after Geordie LaForge, also from Star Trek

Mostly various anime characters with some pokemon names sprinkled in. I also have a few names from game fandoms and the names of a handful of my own OCs! Plenty of other names in there but it would take too long to list them all. 😊

Sprigatito the Pumkit, and also my growing hoard of other Pokemon names.
Betamon the Arkchie, alongside some other Digimon names.
TweetyPie the Mo, also known as Tweety Bird.
Aiba the Psychiro, one of my favourite characters from AI: The Somnium Files.
Rabite the Pinky, a rabbit-like species from Secret of Mana (or the Mana series in general). The hatched stage reminded me of them.
Juubey the Kisagi from the Puella Magi Madoka Magica series.
KL-33N the Macbot from Fossil Fighters. Also mentioning my other growing hoard of Vivosaur names because I've been stupidly obsessed with two DS games no one cares about for way too long now.

been thinking bout it since some of my cove's a mishmash of song names, artists, and whatever comes to mind, so here's what i got so far:

Bloody-Bunny the Zombitt - named after a (pretty violent) webseries debuting back in 2008
Verte-Anaconda the Vampiria - does a monster from a TCG count as fictional? uhh idk, just know that this is from YGO (since someone already took the archetype name "Predaplant" prior)

i'll probably rename some of my older ones to other characters i know if i ever feel like it

I've got a few named after characters, and some after actors as well 😊

The Doctor and Wilfred Mott are characters from Doctor Who. Those are my favorite ❤️
Heith is a fictional villain from the novel I'm currently (trying) to write.
Shawn Spencer is from a TV series called Psych (hence why it's on a Psychiro 😉) It's hilarious, I highly recommend it.

As for actors I have Andrew Garfield and Hayley Atwell 😊

I'm sure I've got more, but I don't want to search through all my sides xD

Does anyone remember W.I.T.C.H. comics? I used to be a huge fan as a teenager, so I have these babies:
Tiarnie, Kadma, Nihila, Elyon, Orube, Khor, Endarno and Romur.

I also have Barristan from GOT, although Im not a huge fan. 😃

ooh, i have a few!

most of mine are from cookie run, because a lot of those names weren't taken... i have cocoa cookie, scorpion cookie, snake fruit cookie, string gummy cookie, and sugar glass cookie (though the gender is wrong on the last one, haha)

as for other fictional character names, i also have loosha from professor layton and the last specter, udonge and udongein from touhou project, and haruka sakurai from the web series MILGRAM!

I have a ton, scattered through all my accounts. I defo can't link them all, but I have fandom names (games, movies, books, podcasts), favorite bands/songs, and a few ship names thrown in...

Just the first 20 creatures on this account could give a person whiplash from all the different references if a person understood them all, lol.

I think, between this account and Overnight, a couple of my biggest themes are LotR, It (the King work), Hannibal/Silence of the Lambs, various horror games, and the band Ghost.

If I can, I want most of my pets to be named after characters, and I've snagged quite a few good names, too!
