I have no idea how many people remember this; but its a feature I sorely miss from V2 (we are on EggCave V3 now)We used to be able to move/size a small box to create our own headshot position/view. So you could center in on a star, a face, or another detail of your profile creature. Now, we just see the whole thing in a circle. This view does have some cut-off at spots, as well as a weird white bar at the bottom where a little bit of the name field is shown. As well as: everyone's PFPs can look pretty similar when you have the same species with no background or the same.I would LOVE to see this feature added back, I don't entirely understand why it was cut out.@ian

@prairie Can you send me an example of PFP you've seen that has the weird white bar? I'd like to take a closer look.Positioning headshots was removed in version 3 because profile pictures, I believe, became larger in version 3. This meant that there was more space for more of the canvas to be visible. With the increased canvas size, there wasn't as much of a need to "center in." At least that's what I was thought at the time. This brings up a good point though... in that PFPs are 100% rounded circles. What if they weren't, but were squared off? See the image sample below if it were changed. This is a 90x90 pixel PFP with a 5px border radius... any need to center/customize this? It's all visible. Maybe PFPs should just be made... not circles?https://ibb.co/Zxn79dp

@Ian https://imgur.com/dSUn1omIt's a fairly small issue; since I only see it on the header area. But if ever there was a dark mode added or a darker backdrop to other areas, you might see it. Its hard to see if it affects forums/wall posts because they have a white BG; but I don't *think* it does. I think its great that PFPs are bigger! I loved that addition, me and I think some others do miss the feature to personalize headshots. It was a bit fun to customize & center the faces of creatures (or focus on tiny creatures like spritemice better)I think Square is better to show off the whole creature & travel, but overall I still think it'd be more fun to allow users to choose between a full view or a custom selection/zoom.EDIT:to edit the example image you gave; I'm talking about the ability to do something like this:https://imgur.com/4oICFX7

@prairie A thousand times yes! I really do love this. I think a square that Ian showed would be good too since every creature in formatted to fit in a square anyhow. I would love to zoom in to make that my pfp ^.^ I love this ! ❤️

I would LOVE this!! I welcome more customization in general, but especially with pfp I think this would be a great way to make my pfp 'mine', yunno? With things like desirable rereleases (where many users change their pfp to the same creature), specific trinkets for certain creatures, etc, there is a lot of 'same' going on with pfps. It would be fun to be able to customize our own and set it apart from others.I did my little mockup with the round pfp for some reason, but look at how cute this looks!https://postimg.cc/94PhW6Wp

I would adore this to return so much!

@heatherm19 I do love the round PFPs sometimes, but I will say that with a circular selection, if you're choosing something to feature towards the top of a creatures image, the corners of what you would see get sliced. I do think a square would be better for that reason, but that's me!It might be cool to allow a square or circular border choice, but IDK how complex that'd be to do/make happen. So if I was going to chose, I'd say square PFPs

I would LOVE this to return - I wasn't around when it was a feature, but I think it would be really cool!I really like the square border, I agree that a choice between the two would be nice, but I definitely prefer the squares.
