The Batteron and Meriton species have been redrawn and updated in terms of art. Overall, you should notice a clearer and more familiar style. We felt that the artwork in the older, original style was mismatched with the rest of the creatures here at Egg Cave. We hope you enjoy the updated changes.
Both species are available seasonally as part of the Advent Tree in December. Now that it's January, you cannot currently obtain them.

Please, don't redraw anything else. Please. Endanger those with "flawed" (in your opinion) design, and make a bunch of new creatures instead.

Maybe they should release a poll before they redraw any creature, maybe showing a preview of what the creature would look like, so people won't get too upset. Though the redraws are fine for me, although I did like the old Batteron (but it's fine this way too).

I would love to see a redesigned Onny. The current design is just very lacking that I really do not understand why others care so much for it. My favourite art style on Egg Cave is that of the Danaus and similar styles to that!

This is a sensitive topic. Maybe one doesnot not care for a design. But it is unique. For the most part I prefer the earlier designs. They are not "cute" but have individuality, originality.

The redesigning of the earlier ones to be pretty, cute, appealing is removing creativity, imagination.

I don't know why people are making a deal about it - I think they were just sprucing up the old designs since the creatures are seasonal. So honestly, I think it was a good idea. I do actually love the new batteron redesign. Before and after pictures would have been nice though.

@ian @mastergemma @orderedchaos Like someone mentioned above, could you guys possibly keep the images of the old stages in the archives (before the redraw)? Not that I don't like the new art, it's just that it lacks the "originality" that the old ones were so full of...

I honestly like that changes especially to the Meriton. before it was harder for me to read the forms of the creature, but with the update its a little more obvious to me.

I personally love the new versions, but I get why people are annoyed at this. I wouldn't do more re-designs unless there's a poll greatly in favor of it or something.

Personally I think the Perukey is in need of a redesign, as well as the Trinit! And maybe the Tiver as well?
