nut • 4 Apr 2024, 3:39 PM

…this is what y’all get for asking for items to retire lmao

shrimp • 4 Apr 2024, 3:42 PM

@chapus sent one your way!! ❤️ || @nut i agree :'] gonna miss these old travels

chapus • 4 Apr 2024, 3:46 PM

@shrimp WHAT oh my god thank you !!!! ToT

redflipflap • 4 Apr 2024, 3:48 PM

How come we get April fools day travels but no creature 🥲 prankey haunts my dreams

raitonchidori • 4 Apr 2024, 4:00 PM

Please, no. Oh, God, no. All my creatures on @raitoncollection have Ark Fields. How can I go on now? ☹️

raitonchidori • 4 Apr 2024, 4:06 PM

I knew this would happen when people started asking for retiring items. I was against it. Instead, we should have a better way of knowing which items we have (while buying it on Shops) and a better item gallery. I always said this suggestion. Removing them won't solve the problem

redflipflap • 4 Apr 2024, 4:11 PM

Could we vote on future retirement of items?

toebeans • 4 Apr 2024, 4:12 PM

Yup, I'm not on team Item Removal, especially not travels above other items :c

valorieviolet • 4 Apr 2024, 4:13 PM

It's still possible to get them from completing the dailies (right?), so not all hope is lost!

silvia • 4 Apr 2024, 4:24 PM

Hmm I'm not a fan of "retiring items" as well, as it benefits item collectors only while hurting casual players that just want to put nice travels on their creature. Maybe it would be a good idea to rotate retired items in VEND for tokens, too?

nanami • 4 Apr 2024, 4:51 PM

Oh No ☹️

dragiigy • 4 Apr 2024, 4:59 PM

Thank you!!! Retire 1000 old items more. Just maybe one idea. Tell us few days before doing it.

heatherm19 • 4 Apr 2024, 5:17 PM

I agree with @redflipflap, it'd be nice to be able to vote for what items to retire, or at least get advance-notice like we do with Vend retires. Thankfully I've been fairly good at maintaining enough of the oldest travels, but now I'm anxious for what might go next.

heatherm19 • 4 Apr 2024, 5:21 PM

Have to say I'm not loving the new travels though. A bit too cartoony for me, especially when looking at them by the now-retired ones (also, we again have new travels where most creatures will just cover the entire design.. That bunny is kinda cute but probably not as a travel.)

dragrawr • 4 Apr 2024, 5:46 PM

@silvia THIS!!

chapus • 4 Apr 2024, 6:03 PM

I am fine with retiring items since so many get released, but I do wish there was a bit of a heads up, and hopefully a more clear way of getting retired items. (Maybe a retired item event or something?) I really do hope EC implements item galleries in the future, itd be so fun !

shelbert67 • 4 Apr 2024, 6:15 PM

not me contemplating buying fairyworld yesterday in the shop and now it's retired 😊))

sparklefox • 4 Apr 2024, 6:31 PM

Got all of those except for Ark Fields - pretty sure I just used my last one for a recent quest. Ah, oh well.

shirothekittehlover • 4 Apr 2024, 6:45 PM

Nooooo Fairy World 💔💔

lilyane • 4 Apr 2024, 6:55 PM

Pretty sad to see the Travels go.. because these are accessories that can actually be used to decorate our creatures. I second what heatherm19 says, advanced notice would be nice, maybe like a month before retiring? Also, hope there still a way to get these retired items! ❤️

mindwhiper • 4 Apr 2024, 6:59 PM

Oh, so there's no need to warn users at all, right? I am infinitely glad that old items have started to be retired, but maybe it's worth doing this with a warning? And, for them, replace beautiful old objects with the SAME high-quality and well-drawn ones?

lexicon • 4 Apr 2024, 7:37 PM

actually weeping for FairyWorld ;-; press F

raccoon • 4 Apr 2024, 7:42 PM

Not a fan of travels retiring, personally. Also not a fan of people talking about items being 'ugly' or not. Insanely disrespectful to the artists. If you don't like someone's style... fine. Don't be rude about it though.

salvalli • 4 Apr 2024, 7:57 PM

This is why I like games that don’t fully retire items. They instead have them on seasonal rotation, or have them around during holiday events. Or there’s a big release event, and then ppl who join after can buy them with premium currency.

salvalli • 4 Apr 2024, 8:01 PM

My favorite sites uses all of the above, coupled with being completely transparent of if a special item is being mass released from a short time frame, and will be released again during later events or not. And if not, then it’s usually on permanent sale as a premium.

veritaspunk • 4 Apr 2024, 8:01 PM

I always like the way "endangered commons" are handled by the Oasis. It gives opportunity for those patiently passionate about finding them in the Oasis. I'd prefer likewise for items/travels to be "randomly" available in donations, dailies, and/or other events and activities. 😊

salvalli • 4 Apr 2024, 8:03 PM

But yeeeeeeeah, a warning before retiring anything is always appreciated and typically a smart idea. A month warning would be good for casual players, and give on the fence players a reasonable amount of time to decide if they want to buy on not./end

twinkle • 4 Apr 2024, 8:32 PM

Nooo I only have 2 FairyWorld travels rip ☹️ I agree with having a warning for retiring items next time :'(

shrimp • 4 Apr 2024, 8:37 PM

If anyone wants, I have about 8 extra Fairyworld travels, 2 Moontops and 5 Eastern Jungles I can hand out if they're needed for your collection!

heatherm19 • 4 Apr 2024, 9:27 PM

According to the strongroom's 'oldest added' sort, the next oldest are Offshore Island, The Barrenlands, Snowtop Heights, and Snowy Mountain (based on what I have, at least). So, yunno, maybe start stocking up...

sonny • 4 Apr 2024, 10:10 PM

man im really sad those travels are retired now T_T i kind of agree that there should be like, a day in advance warning for it, but that would also cause a lot of heavy traffic to the travel shop and more players buying them out, so im not sure that would work well

sonny • 4 Apr 2024, 10:11 PM

@shrimp would you mind sending me a fairyworld and eastern jungle travel? i dont have them in my strongroom 🥲 thanks for offering!

shrimp • 4 Apr 2024, 10:20 PM

@sonny Of course! ❤️ Sending one of each your way!

chaotictreat • 4 Apr 2024, 11:04 PM

: (((((((((((( lil warning wouldve been nice. i yeeping love fairyworld, i only have one. i hope there's ways implemented to get retired travels like others have suggested. also if anyone has an ark fields travel can i buy it pretty please bc i don't have any of those o_o

wonder404exe • 4 Apr 2024, 11:11 PM

@cryogenics rip ☹️

dragrawr • 5 Apr 2024, 12:24 AM

@shelbert67 ME TOOOO

cryogenics • 5 Apr 2024, 2:11 AM

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! please anyone who still has moontops sell to me pls pls pls

isis • 5 Apr 2024, 2:39 AM

100% agree with the people saying there should be an additional way to get these kinds of items. A retired item VEND section seems like a really nice idea, or some sort of event every once in a while, or maybe a rotating store where they are buyable at premium prices.
