Any chance of announcing retirements beforehand? Like Vending? I know some people might hoard them, but I don't... and often learn about a pretty item with an "It's gone and prices have gone up tenfold at best" clause. Not fun.

Saying it again: I think retiring the oldest items, in chronological order, makes the most sense. Retiring items with the most in circulation isn't as logical here because those items... aren't actually in circulation...

...they're owned by collectors (especially popular travels). So it doesn't feel like the most efficient reasoning for why an item should be retired. Also, please introduce new trinkets again. :-)

@veritaspunk Another important point is why these items are so popular: they can be used not only for the creature they were originally created for, but for many others as well. They are versatile, which is why they are so popular.

Just a few months ago I made a list for myself of all the super-common super-cheap items, for when I'm rushing doing donating/using tasks. Literally half of that list has been retired since. *pouts at all the retired strawberries*

@veritaspunk puzzling for sure, when nobody was asking for the retiring of random trinkets, and the reason anyone wanted OLD items to retire is so we can actually find the NEW items. New items aren't made for trinkets, so baffling why the decision has been made to retire them
