Garett nodded. Porygon-Z were pretty rare, and he had heard they were good fighters.

"Well... I have an Empoleon, a Gallade, a Luxray, a Crobat, a Heracross, and a Garchomp." He said. He remembered his Garchomp's evolution well, since she had just evolved recently. "What about you, other than Digit?"

Bella reached into her bag and pulled out a luxury ball.
"Milotic,show time!"

Milotic burst out of her poke ball waving her fan tail Infront of everyone while performing safeguard causing a calming aura which made all of the preparing trainers notice.

Melody tapped her foot, impatient.
"So, you're using a Fire Type then? A Vulpix. For sure?" she questioned Sakura viciously.
She knew that this battle was going to be TOUGH.
'Why did it have to be a DOUBLE battle?!?' Melody thought angerily.
'I work better ALONE. I can't have another trainer dragging me down.'
Melody sighed, and eyed Sakura again, sizing her up.
"Okay, a Vulpix and Zorua.... I'll use Krow to knock out any Fighting types. Vulpix can take Grass, Ice... Ugh, Fire's not a good all around type, so I have to get something to cover our weaknesses."
Melody thought for a second. Sol would be good for any Dragon types, and knew Dig, via TM, so that would take care of any Electric or Fire types...
"Okay, i'm using Krow, ny Murkrow, and Sol, my Sneasal." Melody announced to her partner.

Bella overheard Melody's conversation with Sakura ,she felt bad that Margot was at a disadvantage she wondered whether any of them were listening or if they where still looking at Milotic's safeguard, not a good idea of bella to reveal one of her strong pokemon "sigh.."

Melody raised an eyebrow.
"I see you made it more powerful." she pointed out.
Krow looked apalled. He snorted as the Fire Stone turned Vulpix into a Ninetails, and started to preen hs feathers to hide his disgust.
Melody watched as Krow cleaned himself, knowing that the real reason he hated Evolution Stones was because, when she'd first found him, he was being kicked out of his murder of Murkrows, led by a Honchkrow.
Since then, he's resented his evolved form, and hadn't shown any signs of wishing to evolve.
Melody turned back to Sakura, serious.
"I hope you know how to fight. We're going up against some tough competitors. Especially that Margot person. She's mine." Melody growled that last part, ready to avenge Flash.

Melody shrugged. "Haxosaurs are going to be the least of our troubles, trust me." Melody replied, thinking of Margot on her Pokemon.
Krow puffed up his chest at the compliment.
"Thanks, we've been training for a long time."
She reached into her pocket and pulled out a small case.
She opened the case, to reveal many badges, from Kanto, Johto, Hoehn, and Sinho. (I can't spell. XD)
"I've been a trainer for five years now." Melody smiled, admitedly showing off.

"Garchomp?" Margot asked, eyebrows raised. "Garchomp is a beast--that's what we'll start on," she said, nodding quietly to herself. "Biggest worry for you there is ice types . . . I don't know if they have any, but to be safe, I'll put up a fire type. A single good ice move could ruin us." She paused for just a moment. "Houndoom, then. My other fire type is Lampe- excuse me, Chandelure--but every time I've seen that Melody there's been a dark type with her. I don't think that's coincidence." She nodded slightly to herself, talking quickly. "That takes care of our primary physical powerhouse and a bolster to its Achilles heel." She paused for a moment. "Now, we have a couple angles we can work. We can choose to build up defensively and put up our best walls. We could choose to work speed and force a fast battle on them, but that's a risky move." Margot sighed, glancing at the crowd around them. There wasn't nearly as much time as she would have liked to plan. Suddenly, Digit floated into her line of view, spinning his arms erratically. Margot's eyes lit up. "What about a late-game special sweeper?" A smile crawled its way onto her face. "They won't be expecting two big guns." She turned back to face Garrett, nodding again. "Any better ideas?"

Spike arrived late, after a reluctant start which involved his pokemon, Lous namely, having to forcefully drag him out of bed.
He walked up to Belle, looking her up and down. "So... I guess your my partner? Does that mean we're teaming up or what?" He asked with some confusion.
It had taken him a long time to train his pokemon to speak civilly with each other. Team work in his own party was sketchy, let alone working with some stranger. He gave a hesitant smile. "Yeah, that's right," he replied to the question about dragon types. "What about you?" He looked with undisguised admiration on her Milotic. That calming aura would be dead useful in his team, if only.

Margot smiled now, without reserve. She was feeling confident, or at least excited for the battle. "Sorry, I have a five-Pokemon team of houndoom, roserade, skarmory, chandelure, and porygon-Z. I don't think that changes anything, though."

Bella then turned back to her partner who was looking at her Milotic not impressed, "I also have an ampharos,Espeon,Roselia,Beautifly Milotic,wartortle,skitty and Blazekin..."

Hearing her named called skitty bursted out of her poke ball jumping on Margot causing a cute and embarrassing scene for Bella

Margot nodded at Garrett, glancing around for a clock. Out of nowhere, she was assaulted by something small, pink, and furry. "GYAH!" she shouted, startling her porygon-Z, who let out a sound like a car horn. She shook the Pokemon off her. Heart beating wildly, she glanced down to see that it was only an excitable skitty. Margot frowned, turning to face the trainer of the Pokemon. "Keep that thing on a leash," she muttered out of wounded pride. Digit spun its arms irritably, letting out a low sound as well.

"Hello, trainers!" said the voice over the loudspeaker. "The first round battles are about to begin! Rotation one trainers, please take your places on the arenas!"

Margot turned to face Garrett again, looking over at the entrance to the outdoor arenas. "You ready?" she asked him.
