"Look," Spike knelt down by Dratini. "Those slams, they were PATHETIC. How can you ever hope to win ANYTHING like that? You wanted to take part in this stupid competition? Well, if you don't start putting some effort in now, you won't have a chance. Right now, you are WEAK. So you need training. And if you're not going to give it your all then I might as well just send you home," he shrugged.
Dratini looked down at the ground. He took a deep breath.
Okay. Spike stood back.
Agility? Dratini flashed, impossible to keep track of.
Shelly narrowed her eyes. Now she was focussing.
Out of nowhere, the sound of rock breaking and a dust cloud exploded, and Spike lifted a hand to his eyes to shield them from the flying debris.
Dratini had used Dragon Rush, slamming his tail onto his enemy. Had he hit?
The dust cleared, and it was clear that Shelly was not in the small crater left by the attack.
Spike spotted her a few meters away, looking very proud that she had mastered the dodging-at-the-last-minute technique and all it's tricks.
And wrapped around her spherical body was Dratini.
And since Shelly was so rock solid, covered in a natural amour, she couldn't feel Dratini, and hadn't even noticed he was there.
Spike stifled a laugh. Then a horrible thought struck him. "No- don't use-!"
Too late. Shelly, who had been looking around in confusion for that pesky little serpent, had descided to flush him out using her Rollout.
Well. You can imagine.
"Return!" Spike shouted.

Cloud spotted a tree on the far end of the Training Arena. Grinning happily, she called Skarmory down from the heights of the Arena roof. With steel feathers slicing through the air silently.

"Use Steel Wing on that tree branch!"

Cloud shouted, pointing towards the tree in the distance. Skarmory nodded, gone in a flash of blinding, silver light. The tree branch began to drop with a slice of Skarmory's claws. Cloud then turned to Ninetails.

"Ninetails, use Incinerate on the tree branch- Froslass, use Frost Breath on the burning remnants! Now, Umbreon, use Giga Impact on the frozen branch!"

Cloud called, each Pokemon obeying her wim, except Ninetails. Going with a flashier move, she used Wil-O-Wisp. The branch went up in flames, until Froslass came and froze it. Whiteish-blue flames were frozen in position as Froslass looked pleased with herself.

Finishing it off, Umbreon sprinted towards the frozen branch head on, smashing it into shards of icy wood.

"Great job, guys!"

What a headache. And it was only going to get worse.
So Spike took a break and tried one of those famous Snowpoint Snowcones.

He could feel Lous fuming inside his pokeball.
Procrastinating....

Melody waited intill she was out of the other trainer's sight before breaking into a run.
She didn't stop intill she was doubled over right outside the Pokemon Center, her lungs burning from the cold, and her face red and wind nipped.
Krow fluttered around her, equally horrified by what just happened, but was filled with a wanting for REVENGE. He noticed Flash's Pokeball shaking wildly, and nudged Melody towards it.
Melody gulped. It was the main reason why she ran away so fast, if they were any closer to those two, she didn't want to KNOW what Flash would do.
She closed her eyes tight, and pressed the release button on her Houndor's Pokeball.
With a burst of red light, a Houndor materalized in front of her. But it wasn't like any other Houndors, no, he was missing his left front leg. There was just a stub where it should've started at his shoulder, a scar from a battle long ago.
"Flash... are you.." Melody started, but was cut off by Flash's angery bark. Melody closed her eyes, trying to not tear up. Flash's injury had scared her more than ANYTHING. He'd almost died.
Flash noticed his trainer's fear for him, and calmed down, licking her face comfrontingly.
Melody petted her Houndor. "We WILL get back at them you know." she whispered to him. "We WON'T let them win the competion, okay?"
Flash grinned back at her, feeling the same way. But first, they had to train.

VIVA V.S. LOUS

It wasn't as exciting as it sounded. Mostly because you couldn't SEE anything that was happening because of the fiery inferno that issued from Lous's left maw. Viva was unbelievably fast though, and used it to his advantage.
Unfortunately, Lous was getting impatient. Dragon Claw left, Ice Beam right, he was on a rampage.
Viva flashed behind him and hit with a Dragon Breath, but it was a glancing blow and had no lasting effect.
Suddenly Spike saw it coming. Lous had finally lost it. "Return!" He yelled before the Zweilous could release the special technique. "Darn, that was close." He noted Viva's burns and returned him to his pokeball.

Melody decided to go train in the forest area near Lake Acuity. (Spell fall? 😋 )
Flash knew how to fight with only three legs. But he was still at a disadvantage from the rest of the Pokemon he faced.
Melody decided that Daunt would be the perfect one to train with Flash.
"Daunt, come out!" Melody commanded.
The Crawdaunt busted out of her Pokeball, looking like her usually happy self.
"Okay Daunt, defense postion! Flash, Fire Blast!" melody commanded her Pokemon fiercly.
Daunt quickly picked up her claws in front of her face to stop the full force of the Fire Blast, and was pushed back a few feet in the melted snow.
She grinned, then quickly scuttled towards Flash, preapring a Crab Hammer attack.
Flash jumped to dodge it, but he stumbled and tripped as he landed.
Melody paused, but Flash got up with a detremined look in his eyes, still ready to keep training.

Bella continued her way throughout town she had bought a warm hot chocolate for her and one special cider drink for her pokemon, Bella found a nice spot on sa bench near a frozen water foutain out on the training field

"Skitty..Do you think i should sign up for the battle compitition?"

"Meyaoe!" Skitty jumped up into Bella's lap.

"Ok then! Letts see if anyone is gonna come out to train." Bella said cheerfully

sakura watched her and everyone elses pokemon play,as she looked at her last pokebakk that was still full,she wondered if she should take it out so it could play with the others,it was her first pokemon after all.

After her nap, Heather decided to venture outside.

Great training grounds everywhere. The snow would be tough to train on, for it was packed in heavily. "Lucario, this is not going to be fun," she told him. He nodded, and patted the egg that Heather had put in her bag.

"Oh! Right! It needs to be warm!" She took an extra scarf she had on and wrapped it around the egg.

"See any potential fights?" She asked Lucario.

Training lasted forever.
Halfway though, Melody jumped in to it too, training right by Flash, helping him dodge and move faster.
They ran though the forest, tackled eachother, and just praticed intill Melody was face first in the snow, gasping for breath as her Houndor licked her cheeks, urging her to keep moving.
"That's. Enough. Right now. Flash." Melody wheezed out. "But maybe we can find someone to battle?"
Flash let out a happy woof, and started to run up the hill, to where some trainers where playing.
Melody pulled herself up, chasing after her three-legged Houndor who was still amazingly fast.
"Flash! Wait. Up!" Melody called out, Krow hanging onto her shoulder.

Margot watched the girl-- Melanie, or something like that?-- until she completely disappeared. Then she let out a sigh, leaning against the fence of a training arena. Ramses visibly relaxed as well, sitting and leaning his head against his trainer. He let out a soft whine. Margot handed him back the pokedoll and gently pat his head. The battle between the two then-houndours had been ugly. The vicious scuffle had ended with the two tumbling across the floor, bitterly snapping at each other, until they hit a wall. Ramses had been mashed up against it when the two hit, and struggled frantically. It was in desperation that he snapped at the other houndour's leg, teeth aflame. Margot could still hear the crunch. She sighed again, glancing out over the training field. Maybe it was time for her houndoom to take a break. "Return," she ordered softly, watching her pokemon disappear in a flash of red light. "Kindle," she now called, smiling despite herself. "Come on out." With another flash of light, the lampent appeared, singing a low call. "I'd say you're almost ready to evolve. How 'bout we find ourselves a battle?"
