Vienna frowned at the fox girl. It wasn't a particularly vehement expression; her eyes were tired and impatient, but not malicious. Still, her bitter face could have been far less intimidating. "We can do this one of two ways, kids," she added, suppressing another sigh. "You can tell us exactly who we need to look for, and we'll find them within the hour and restrain them only as much as is necessary. Or, you can stay silent, and wait for us to dig through our database. We will still find them, and when we do, we will fill them full of tranquilizer darts. Your choice."

Vienna didn't believe in senseless displays of power--had she so desired, she could have drawn her own handgun and treated the situation as if it were a bank robbery. She preferred a more subtle approach, one where posture and tone said more about power than any amount of firearms. To the amazement of most of the floor, it usually worked.

She wondered, for a moment, if the subjects were aware of their microchips. Surgically implanted at the time of their genetic experiments, they allowed for the subject to be tracked by GPS. Perhaps we should tell them, she thought to herself absently. Perhaps it would discourage situations like this.

Kira stuck her hand out of the cage. a Man was sitting in frount of her laughing at the others. Kira put her hand around his neck choking him "Shut Up!" she said and another scientist ran over sticking a needle in her arm injecting something Kira pulled her arm back and took out the needle throwing it accross the room "What did you do to me!?" she screamed throwing her self agent the cage. "Tell Me You Monstars!!!" they just icnored her walking out of the room.

Kira looked up at Vienna "What did they do to me...?" she asked her arm felt like it was burning. "Tell me..." she said unfolding her dark Brown wings. "Why? Why do you want to do this? why are you huring us all? why are we in cages? Why us? Why make us? Why do it all? Just so you can watch us die and luagh?" she asked her hair coverd har face and her wings cast a shadow over her.

Sylvia walked back into the building, she heard their were others inside. She thought about the boy that didnt want to escape. She swung open the doors that led to the room that held Mutants. She went inside to see a women and man scientist with a few more people. "Hello.", She said to the scientists.

The frown still plastered on her face, Vienna scanned the expressions of the subjects. They all either looked confused or decidedly pathetic.

There was a bustle in the back of the room involving a screaming girl and two of the other scientists. She looked at the girl with a calm yet disbelieving expression, noticing from the corner of her eye the color of the label on the injection needle that had been flung into the corner of the room. "It's just a sedative," she explained in an even tone. "You'll be feeling a little drowsy in a few moments." Ignoring all her questions but one, she continued. "The cages are temporary; this should have already been explained to you. We're just finishing an artificial habitat. You're scheduled to be relocated some time at the end of this week, if everything goes according to plan." Her eyes narrowed slightly. "That means no taking time off to search for runaways."

At the sound of an unfamiliar voice, Vienna turned to face what seemed to be one of the runaway subjects. "Thank you for cooperating," she addressed the girl in a tired tone, making a hand motion for the girl to come closer. "So much for complete lock-down," she muttered to herself, wondering why exactly they had entry code boxes at each door.

"yeah right, sedative my foot" she mumbled and sighed she turned to a small window "So, close, yet so far" she said her wings unfolded abit "If only they could leave" she looked to the scientists. she sighed then looked around rembering old storys her friends had told her before they were killed long ago "Once your in, you stay there. Once you develup powers, you get more. Once you mutate, you keep mutateing. If you dont escape you die. If you dont die, you live in agony..." She looked out the window able to hear the birds singing. She sighed then started to whissle to them hopeing they could hear her.

Vienna stared at the melodramatic girl for a long moment, completely lost for words. This girl was an unintelligent, delusional wreck. "Please tell me we're not letting them watch daytime television," she thought to herself, sighing.

As the other girl began to talk again, Vienna turned to face her, but this girl wasn't being much more coherent than the last. "Where on earth did you go to grade school?" she thought to herself, but managed some restraint. Instead she said, "Fantastic. I need your subject number."

Kira sighed then looked at all the others "If only..." she mumbled sitting in her small cage. she looked over at Vienna "Do you think were stupid?" she asked "You after all did help create us, dint you? I thought you of all people the one seaming in charge would be smarter than that..." She said and another scientist ran over "Thats It!" he yelled and kicked her cage "I want this one to take first in the electric room!" he said and got another mutant to pick up her cage "Take her there now!" he yelled and the other mutant did as he was told.
"Put Me Down!" Kira screamed banging on the sides of her cage "Put Me Down!" she screamed again and the mutant threw her cage down Kira shacked around inside "OW!" she yelled and grabbed the mutants hand biting it has hard as she could. he screamed and shook her around "Wait Stop!" she man yelled and the mutant threw her cage across the room braking it agent the wall. Kira tried to get out but the scientist got there first fixing the cage. Kira banged agents the cage out raged "You Monsters!" she screamed throwing her weight agents the cage.

@bunnyshadow The mean comment was thought, not said, but I'm assuming your character is responding to her facial expression. ^^; And you know how in most labs, experimental subjects are each given a number for classification purposes? Like the first experiment might be 0001. Just make up a number for her.

"I never said you were stupid," Vienna replied calmly, looking around the room rather than keeping eye contact with the girl. "Subject number, please."

The sound of clanging metal drew her attention elsewhere. A look of pure contempt crossed her face. "Damien, for the love of God, if you bang another cage like that I'll have you pushing papers for the rest of the week." In truth, she wasn't any higher rank than he was; but written policy in the labs was against cruelty to the experiments. This policy was not usually followed, and filing complaints was a long and tedious process, but it could be accomplished. She was willing to take several hours out of her free time if it gave her several days to work in peace.

Struggling to calm her frayed nerves, she turned next to the laughing boy. Uncontrollable laughing was often a sign of severe trauma . . . "Are you feeling lightheaded?" she asked Reno in a very serious tone.

"Oh God," Vienna murmured to herself, glancing away for a moment. This was a nightmare. She had two decisions: she could handle the boy herself and leave the men in charge of tracking down the escapees, or she could send one of the men away with the boy and keep control over the room. Both sounded as if they would end very badly. As she caught the boy's smiling face out of the corner of her eye, her mind was made up.

"I want this room on lock-down," she growled to the scientists in the room. "No one without an entrance code goes in or out. Find the subject numbers of each of the escapees--if the kids won't tell you, check the cages, they're labeled. Then one of you needs to head upstairs to analytics and triangulate the signal of each missing subject. I'll be back by then," she warned, picking up her communication device. "Send a stretcher into 4A, meet me in the hallway leading to the Hospital Wing. Urgent." With that, she drew a series of keys from her pocket, approaching Reno's cage. After a glance at his labeling and a short period of sorting through the keys, she unlocked his cage and took a step back. "Can you stand?" she asked him, not wanting to rush things.

It wouldn't be appropriate to inform him of what happened to the last subject that had exhibited this kind of behavior.

Aria saw as Reno fell to the ground, and she could not help herself but giggle. She then remember what Vienna said and was a bit worried for Reno.
