Sylvia leaned on the burnt hollow shell of a building and ran her hand through her hair, brushing her hair back, but it only fell into her eyes again. Zaylia nudged around Sylvia's feet. Sylvia started wondering if Joseph was hurt and looked down at the ground.

@fluffy ❤️ And aww, thanks so much! She's one of my few special eggs that didn't die while I was on hiatus. I just thought Olimpts look so tropical, she needed a tropical name.

@skylark You should stay. c: Kvaya needs her best friend. My vote is for the dragon lands, to start training. (The elves don't do training anymore. X3 Although I'm sure some of them went over to help.)

Ceren raced to the house nearest to the forest's edge. Its remaining wooden wall still burned, blackened and alight on top like a candle; the other three were strewn upon the ground, a dismal mix of dark, shattered wood and pale grey ash. Next to it, a woman kneeled, clutching a small child to her chest. Her tears had worn two stripes down her smoke-masked face, and she sobbed with grief. The figure in her arms barely stirred, its chest rising and falling feebly.

The elf approached with slow, silent steps, and crouched before her. His mouth was in a hard line, and the corners of his eyes were tight with strain; but his hazel eyes were light and warm, powerful but kindly. He lay his hand upon the shoulder of the woman, who shrunk away. "I may help," he said softly, sweet voice stumbling over the harsh human words. Her eyes were empty; she did not understand. "Waise neiat chetowa,*" he said again, reaching again for her shoulder. She did not know these words either, though the language of magic is understood by all in their hearts. She did not flinch away.

The woman paused now, her lips trembling with emotion. She stared down into her arms and offered the elf the child.

The human boy could not have been older than five. He was cruelly burnt, the skin of his face, arms and chest red and shriveled. Death was upon him.

Ceren took the child into his arms, inhaling a sharp breath as he did. The woman's sorrow--his sorrow--threatened to overwhelm him. The calming hum Kvaya rose from the depths of his mind, and he let out the breath as it did. "Waise heill,**" he breathed, guiding the spell with his intentions. The burns faded from the child as his skin shimmered and regenerated. The fluttering of his chest, as frail as the wingbeats of a bird, gained a steadiness. Though the child did not open his eyes, he appeared to slumber peacefully. With a last blessing whispered softly over the boy's forehead, Ceren handed him back to his mother.

The woman's pale blue eyes again brimmed with tears. Ceren rose, offering her a stern nod. There was a quiet moment as the two of them stared at each other, as they were different and yet the same. Then, the elf turned, and ran deeper into the city. There were many more children to heal.

Sylvia walked aimlessly through the town, and every once in a while, will take a hurt child and heal it. She was taught how to heal, when she was little to heal herself when time needed, finally she reached the edge of the town and sat down by a tree, hugging her knees, thinking hard.

@bunnyshadow We could either meet up in the city or fastforward. If we choose to fastforward, we could go anywhere from boarding the boats, to being on the ocean, to arriving at the dragon lands . . . What would everybody prefer? We'd also have to ask @hedwig68, haha. She still runs this whole thing. X3

Saria was beginning to fix the buildings with magic so they would be the exact same as before.
