Arx finished laughing and transformed into a small green lizard once more. He climbed up the wall, on to the ceiling, and fell down on top of Danny's head. "Whoops, sorry," was Arx's quick response.

Clay figured he wasn't very hungry and that he would just give his food to Arxaronn.

Veronica heard the doors of the cafeteria open and looked at them out of curiosity, and noticed the faces from the room where Violet came from. They were noisy, and she disliked them.

Violet looked down at her animal and noticed Veronica staring at someone, and looked in the same direction. It was the people from their bedroom.
She saw someone walking over to her and she asked her what her name is.
"Violet. This is Veronica." she said petting her animal.

Alicia walked into the cafeteria where there only a few dozens of kids that were all from the Sector B. She smiled when she saw that many of them were in good mood. She then walked to go get a plate of food. She took a chicken soup, a sandwich, an apple and some milk as well a piece of raw meat for Arthur. She then searched for a place to sit and to keep some places for her friends when she saw a almost empty table with a girl. She then walked over to the table and sat next to Violet, "Hey! Whats your name?" she said, smiling. She then saw her friends not too far and waved at them.

Clay, seeing Alcia waving, hurriedly grabbed some fruit and went to sit with the girls, realizing that he didn't recognize one of them.

"Arx, you can take my food, I'm not hungry."

Arx, in his marmoset form, gnawed greedily at an apple, smiling on the inside.

Alex smiled as she got her food, a marshmallow fluff sandwich (My favorite! 😃) and an RC Cola. She also grabbed an apple for herself and a piece of meat for Bear. She carried her plate in one hand and gestured to Bear with the other. The two then walked over to Alicia. "Hey, 'sup?" She said to the girl she didn't know, setting her food on the table and sitting next to Alicia, and tossing Bear her meat. She nodded at Clay simply.

"Confident!" Dannick commented about Clay's attitude, smiling in appreciation. "I like it! 's a bit hard to find cheerful people these da-OUGH!" he squeaked loudly as the lizard plopped down on his head. His locks were all over the place and Arx could quickly drown in them as it was. Rummaging through his hair for a bit, Dannick finally produced the small reptile from his head and held it on his eye level.
"'Ello there! Heh, ye gods, what'd my hair ever do to you little buggers?" he chuckled jokatively, handing the lizard back to Clay. "My hair got attacked twice today! I think it's a sign I've got to get a haircut or something."
Walking into the cafeteria, Dannick promptly walked up to an empty table and plopped down, regardless on where the others were. After a while, he noticed Alicia waving at him and the others from another table and stumbled through the crowd over to her, practically falling in his seat. "Oi, 'ello everyone! Traffic's crazy in this place." he commented with a smile.

"He's falling for you, Alicia." Arx said, noticing that Danny nearly fell face first on to the tile floor while moving to sit with the groups. "Danny, you might wanna watch out, Clay'll get jealous."

Chuckling lightly, Dannick reached a hand over to affectionatelly pet the lizard's head.
"Awh, aren't you the cutest thing!?" he exclaimed with a smile, gathering Arx into his hand. Meanwhile, Dez had stirred from sleep and was now stretching over Danny's shoulders. The ocelot peeked over the boy's arm and sniffed the lizard inquisitivelly.

Alicia greeted the others with a brigth smile. She then pushed the plate of raw cow meat to Arthur that was in his leopard form. He then lied down on the ground under Alicia's chair and tried his best to not make a bloody mess.

"Yah, it's breakfast! It's normal that there are a lot of people. Hey, maybe after we eat, would should show you around this place. I don't think we will be able to visit the gardens at a time like this." Alicia said, smiling. She then looked at Arx and chuckled after sighed, "You better watch your tongue lizard. Don't want it running around the place!" she laughed.

Alex smiled and took her fluff sandwich and took a big bite. She chewed and swallowed before bursting out in laughter, "Good one Arx!" She laughed, grinning at the little lizard. She then took a swig of her cola and continued to grin. She then nodded, "Yeah, Alicia's right, we should show you around, its better than sitting around doing nothing."

Violet felt uncomfortable with all these people around her, and constantly shifted in her seat. She kept on twitching at the loud words that came from these extremely noisy teenagers, and Veronica had switched to her snake form to hide in her lap.

She just kept on eating, seeing as how they were busy with each other.
"I've been here for a while."

Clay sat there watching everyone eat, while he sat there. Why wasn't he eating? He didn't know. He didn't care. He just wanted to know what was wrong with this new kid. He seemed too...

"I'd love to get to know this place!" Danny happiy chirped from his place, digging into the poor amount of food he'd brought. He wasn't one for eating too much. "Gardens? You mean to tell me there're actualy gardens here? Fantastic!" he exclaimed, heavy english accent hanging in the air casually.
He barely registered a few quiet words from the girl sitting quietly across from him. He had just noticed her and felt a light guilt for this. Smiling widely, he reached a hand over to make accuaintances with her.
"'Ello." he quietly greeted, the ruccus making it hard for his words to go across. "I'm Danny. Nice t'meet you miss."

Alicia smiled at the others and started to eat. "Yup. This is a pretty fancy orphanage if you ask me." she said, smiling at Danny. She then turned towards the new girl, "You mean at this table or at the orphanage? Sorry for bringing my friends here, you seemed lonely and there are no other tables big enough for all of us." she sighed. "My name is Alicia. And my Soul Animal eating under me is Arthur."

Violet noticed that the energetic teenager, the person who wasn't eating and the girl that first saw her noticed her and her reddish brown eyes flew towards them.
"Hello, everyone seems to think I am a shadow. I guess it's nice to meet you all as well.." she said, her voice still a bit quiet.

Veronica didn't like the fact that Violet was talking to these people, and quickly slithered up her arm and onto her shoulder to look at them. Her black scales shined a bit in the cafeteria lights, and she hissed.

Alex smiled at the other girl, "Hi, I'm Alex and the fat black dog next to me is Bear." She said, nudging Bear playfully. She then finished off her sandwich and bit into her apple, unlike the two boys, she loved eating and was always hungry. She could tell the girl was uncomfortable and she cocked her head before saying. "If we're making you too uncomfortable, we'll leave, just trying to be friendly." She said with a slight shrug, not knowing what else to say. She looked at the snake curiously and raised an eyebrow at how protective it was being.

Alicia nodded, "It's nice to meet you too." she said, noticing that Veronica had hissed, "I agree with Alex here, if you feel uncomfortable that we are here, we don't mind leaving." she said.

Arthur heard a hissing sound and wasn't sure if everything was alright, so he lifted his large leopard head and looked at the snake, his white fur having some blood spots on it. He then started at Veronica with his big blue eyes.

Dannicks's smile lightly faded at the girl's comment and he felt the guilt grow. "Well then, Hey Miss Shadow." he happily regarded her again, feeling the atmosphere become a bit awkward. He was never the one to deal with new people, much less such that disliked attention.
Dez lightly settled on his shoulder, his tail draped around Danny's neck and nuzzled him affectionatelly. As if on queue, after he smiled at the ocelot, the angry snake emerged from behind the girl's shoulder and hissed.
The ocelot immediatelly recoiled in fear.
"C-calm down Dez." he mumbled quietly, not making much of the situation until he felt something coiling around his neck. A bit too late, he realized it was Dez in his black mamba form fearfully wrapping his body around Danny's neck in an attempt to preserve himself. The boy began slightly choking.
"D-dez... I c-can't breathe..."

The ocelot got scared more frequently than Dannick himself. Dezirae was smaller and therefore more fearful, but the boy couldn't quite understand why his soul animal resembled a simple animal more than... well.... a soul animal. He couldn't even talk.

After gasping for a breath, he tried again. "Dez... Calm down D-dez..." he mumbled, not daring to touch the snake. Being a black mamba, Dez could quickly bite whoever attempted to uncoil him.

Realizing how the situation was starting to get worse, Alicia attempted to help. She approached her hands to Dannick's neck in attempt to free the teen from the snake's grasp but she backed her hands away quickly, realizing it probably wasn't the best idea to touch an animal that was scared like this. She then turned around towards Violet, "Um, I think you will have to ask your Soul Animal to... urm... not hiss?" she said, feeling a bit nervous.

"Arthur do something!" she mumbled to her Soul Animal, "What? Are you nuts? What can I do?!" he answered.

Alex's eyes widened as she saw Dez begin to strangle Danny. She sighed and said in a really soft and steady voice, "Sh, Dez, its okay. That snake means no harm to you, so calm down. Release Danny before he chokes, come on now, and just slowly calm down and re-lease." She said very steadily, she wanted to see if she could help without actually touching the snake, in fear of being bitten.

"No you're fine." she said speaking up louder. Then she noticed how loud she had been, and didn't quite understand why she said that.
She saw that Dannick was having problems with his soul animal and looked at Veronica.
"Veronica.." she whispered to the Eastern Indigo snake.
"Stop it." the snake noticed her serious tone of voice, stopped to look at her face and slithered back down into her lap.

Violet looked at the mamba with a fearful look and gave everyone an apologizing head bow.
She turned her head to look at Veronica.
"I'm so sorry, Veronica has never been nice to other people." she whispered.

Arx walked over, climbing onto Danny. He whispered a few words to Dez, who calms down afterwards.

"How did you do that?" Clay asks.

"Simple, all you do is tell them what they want to hear. Don't worry about what I said though."

Taking a fair amount of air into his lungs, Dany held his breath, calming himself down fully and then attempting to transfer his ease to Dezirae. The snake would have none of it, however. He snapped his deadly fangs towards both Alicia and Alex, hissing menacingly towards them. It recoiled in fear again, tightening its grip.
The boy wasn't choking anymore, though. He inhaled and exhaled faintly, his airway expanding in a steady pace.
"It's alright." he reassured Violet, the vibrations of his voice soothing the snake. "It's not that, it's just... well, Dez." he quietly explained, motioning to the terrified creature. "This happens on the smallest of occasions. It's ridiculous, really..." he mumbled as he felt the snake's body slowly relax, its eyelids drooping at the steady pace of Dannick's breathing.
"I'm sorry." he quietly regarded Alicia and Alex, gathering the animal in his arms and falling silent.

Alex nodded, "Its cool, Bear used to do stuff like that all the time, but she's mellowed out a lot." She said, petting the dog as it rested a bloody mouth on her lap. She smiled as the lap changed into an arctic fox and leaped into her lap gracefully, falling asleep almost immediately. She then finished of her apple and tossed it on her empty plate. "So, you still want that tour then?"

Veronica switched into her black fox form, covering her face up with her paws.
Violet gave the others a weak smile and ran her hand through her fox's fur softly.

She wondered why these people were so kind, with being stuck in an orphanage.
"I guess I'll come along with that tour. I've also been here for quite the time, but I only now switched rooms." she said, giving off a smile that she hasn't given to anyone since she was ten.

Mind whirling in confusion, Dannick lightly looked up, glancing at Clay, then Alicia and Violet. His gaze stopped at Alex.
"You... Are you seriously suggesting to continue spending time with me after /this/. It happens on a daily basis!" he exclaimed incredulously, now very baffled. "You could've died. I'm not even kidding." he mumbled, eyebrows knit in confusion.
He was just as confused as Violet herself. Glancing sympathetically at the girl, he found they shared a mutual amazement of the compassion they received.

I am not gonna start hating you or something because of this." She then looked at Violet, "Cool, it's great that you're joining us. Now we better get moving, there's quite a bit to show in the little time that we have." She commented, slowly standing up and holding Bear in her arms.

"Okay." she said, smiling and stood up.
"Ready when you are." she looked down at Veronica, which sat looking adorable like she didn't just hiss at her new friends.

That thought made Violet wonder. Are they going to stay as her friends, or are they going to reject her as they discover her mischievous side? Perhaps they won't be very good friends.. or they might be extremely good friends.

All of this thinking made her forget what she was doing, and she felt herself fall backwards.
Her mind raced quickly when she remembered the gravitational pulses and that she is meant to balance, not fall. Her pupils constricted as fast as light and she felt a quick sense of fear.
